- (1-20-19) After MANY requests, I have finally gotten a proper video of these elevators. This is at the famous Hampton Inn on top of the Market Parking Garage. This video is thanks to a fan Joe Gray who was staying at the hotel. Link to his channel in the video card.

Why would a Hampton property lock their elevators. That seems pretty rare in my opinion

wow, those elevators are awesome. the one at my high school had the key call pad, it also had the blue curtians around it and i believe it got remodeled later before i finished. i do remember this, the round shaped buttons and black carpet. the bell also worked.

What is the point of the floor lockout? I could understand if these elevators opened up in the parking garage, or they were incredibly easy to access but this is a Hampton Inn with secured access. It just seems like a hassle for the guests.
Also that card reader is mounted a bit high, no?

The express zone of the hotel elevators is also known as passing through the Market Parking Garage in the boxed shafts they built at each up ramp from Levels 1 to 6

I remember when you got stuck in the first elevator when they were just finishing up the hotel. The only thing that seems to be a problem with these elevators is that the key card scanner is way too high for me to use with my wheelchair if I ever stay here.

Honestly, I think it was pointless to have the elevators serve only the hotel floors. People will eventually get annoyed with having to take the garage elevator to the ground floor to get to the hotel.
I agree. They should have them stop on the garage floors but use a key card to Call it
But then the elevators would get dirty like all parking garage elevators
@@tkefan29 Still, people will grow tired of having to take the garage elevator down to the street to get to the hotel. It would make more sense if they served the garage levels as well, except those levels would need a keycard to call the elevator, like Andrew said.

those elevators should be able to stop at floor 4 but one end of your ride must be the hotel.
