Was there a desk on floor 11? Wonder what there doing of the elevators because they have the construction pads in the elevators?
Eh this building is indeed being prepped and undergoing interior demo for future apartments. Same developer as The Virginian Hotel. I live a few blocks away. You may have been trespassing lol 😮
Which is weird as they just modded the elevators a few years ago, but I can't find anything about apartments online. I don't think they were trespassing, as it appears there are still a few tenants left. Maybe they were trespassing in the basement though.
@@EWPA14 yes, I meant the basement. The upper floors where the buttons wouldn't bring them have already started being worked on. Nothing has been made official yet, but the building was purchased by the person who developed the Virginian last year and as a person in the know of all things downtown Lynchburg, I have spoken to the developer about this project. The official announcement should be out next year, but they are starting some preliminary site work and demo. Everything is very preliminary at this time.
@@Maznhaden1 Very interesting! As for the trespassing, I didn't violate any "no trespassing" signs or break into any locked spaces. Everything I saw was open!
@@22408aaron haha that's awesome! I've been in the main lobby area, but never thought to take the elevator since most of the building is vacant. Kudos to you for doing so and for sharing. Yes it will be great to see this building get new life as apartments!

Unfortunately, this building is pretty much abandoned.
