Terry is a true master. His first product was Metal Church’s debut album. What a masterpiece. His legacy to metal is just phenomenal!

This will actually be the first Slayer record I'll have ever bought. Just never could get really into them,although I do respect the hell out of them.

+Red Fly if you want to hear "what Holt has done" get some Exodus. He hasn't "done" anything with Slayer and hasnt made any writing contributions on this new album, he's basically just filling in for Jeff, which i think he does well! but keep it in perspective
Dave Smith :) I'm old school, I have tons of Exodus.That's why I want to hear what he's done.And even if he doesn't write on this slayer album he still wrote the solos he plays.

he made overkill's sound like Pantera before Pantera sounded like Pantera=
"Years of Decay".
Anyone remember the song Skelton's of Society? One of the lines from that song is 'fragments of what use to be' and that perfectly sums up Slayer these days. It's a shame the two best parts of Slayer aren't in the band anymore.
Side note: God Hates us All also came out on September 11. I remember watching the towers fall and then went and bought a Slayer album! The title seemed very appropriate that morning.

I'm glad Slayer is now under Nuclear Blast. American was doing Slayer no favors the past couple years. Rick Rubin had really overproduced and over compressed World Painted Blood and Christ Illusion. Terry Date is an amazing engineer and I have more respect for him than the engineers at American or Rick Rubin alone. Keep the albums coming! Fuckin Slayer!!! \,,/

wow terry date huh? Same producer as Pantera. Even though whoever Slayer gets, it's always going to sound like Slayer....lol. All there albums have the same sound pretty much.
Everything sounds great, except the bass... I think TD forgot to mix it in :(
Yeah not much Bass since Hell Awaits too bad but that's Metal for you always a little less Bass sounding.

DaemoniumCC Well, record your own shit, and put it out...let's hear it!!! See if it can match up to the Slayer recording just so you can see all the hard work that goes into a recording session. Better yet, you record the bass kick next time for the Slayer album. Don't bitch and complain about everything. Be glad you're hearing a new Slayer record in this day and age. Back when 'Show No Mercy' came out, there was no complaining. You took it for what it was, and get on with it.
