Morning Craig. My beautiful Black Coral plug arrived safely from you last week along with 3 Bengal Tiger banana plugs. I’ve repotted them but when would you put a less hardy Colocasia and banana directly in the ground? I’m anxious about snails as well as the temperature.
Dont know if you still need your question answered, but generally, you should wait for night temps to get above 10C. You should then protect them when night temps get below 5-8C.
It was 😁 They thrive in really moist soil in a really cool spot in the garden. I'd love to share your videos on growparadise.social 'plant youtubers' group. If you create an account I can tag you in the posts mate 👍
I added a load of compost over my pink china with bark over that. It's survived can't wait to see it grow!
I'm going to try to overwinter my caladiums outside this year. 🤞 I just have to remember "lots of mulch" when it starts to cool down.
Caladiums are VERY tender plants, but feel free to experiment 🤞
Love your videos , I have a question how do I protect my muss banana please?
My Pink China is also growing away now. Mulched with manure and had similar temperatures. I am very relieved!

Was that an impatiens omeiana I spotted? I had one that really struggled to do anything for a few years and then disappeared completely.
