2018+ Accord PRL Flex Fuel Install

- On this week's episode I'm installing a PRL Flex Fuel Kit on my 10th gen 2019 Honda Accord 2.0 Touring. Apologies for some less than stellar camera angles, they will get better with the new camera mount but have a couple more videos to work through the back log. Didn't get removing the fuel line well on camera but have gotten numerous questions regarding how to wire things up, think this video depicts that well.

I wasn't able to capture removing the fuel line clips on camera well. To remove the fuel line with the green clips connected to the hard line you squeeze the top and bottom of the green clips and push the line toward the hard line it's connected to, then pull them apart.
Also removing the hose from the clips holding it in place was a bit of a chore, I used a trim removal tool to unclip them, once you figure out the technique to remove one you'll be able to do the others.

The Check Engine Light Flags I believe needing to be disabled in Ktuner are to allow you to get to a tuner or etune.

Accord has a 14.8 gallon tank
On my car if gas light is on and I have 43 miles on the trip computer remaining, I have 2.8 gallons of gas in my tank.

Here is a link to tunerview which shows ethanol content in fuel from the flex fuel sensor. I use this tool to help me figure out the blend my tuner is having me target.

Man 🎉 happy late bday to him. U got yourself a subscriber. Awesome video n love that u get your son involved.
Hey brother, been watching your videos for a bit now so I finally subscribed. In the process of doing some mods to my 18 Sport 2.0. Next on the agenda is the PRL flex fuel mod. I do run. HonData tune w/Tuned Engine cold air intake. I’ve also seen ( and still watching ) your down pipe mod (which is also in the queque). Anyways I’m in Surprise and would like to pick your brain more. Be good brother.
Feel free to drop me a line on instagram or my Gmail if you have any specific questions.
Does this just totally kill your MPG? Also when you do a custom tune for e85 in Sport mode, and then just want to run 93 octane for a while again...would your car run like crap?
Great Video! Difficult to see what’s going on, but it all helps. So thanks for taking the time to do it. Also Happy Birthday to your son! He will have a great birthday.
Thanks a lot for the feedback and birthday wishes. Hopefully this is the low point on the channel for camera angles and will get better going forward.
Great vlog happy birthday saurian. Just started watching your channel very informative keep up the great work hopefully our neighborhood had a whole bunch of nice cars for you and your neighbors kids to look at
Only 2.0 can have this or
Do they have an app for iphone (tuner view)
Question is the inlet will that fit on the stock Accord turbo I know the wiring loom does not blow up but other than that there's a turbo housing to the inlet pipe because I ate the plastic inlet tube and the type-r is 100% better looking. Dissipates heat better than the plastic tube
The type r inlet will bolt up but I believe you have to cap a vacuum line and also pickup the type r coolant pipe as it bolts to the front of the inlet.
@@JustaHondaAccord thank you for taking the time to respond back to me
Will it work for Honda Accord lx
Can this work on a V6 accord?
Happy birthday to the little guy! 🎉
Thanks Joel!
Dude Loved your Vids wish you still had the Accord!
Everyone skips over some part of the ect2 connection part. Directions suggest that the cable should plug into the sensor itself, yet they are both male ends. I was thinking it makes sense to plug into the cable itself, otherwise how else would the data get from the ethanol sensor to the ecu. However, my car won't start then. Any suggestions? Where did you connect that cable?
nevermind me. poor negative terminal connection. started and installed properly, by all readings!
Good job bro!! I’ll try and be at the spot Saturday 🙏🏻
Thanks a lot man!
This was your last major performance upgrade video.... Have you dyno'd or dragged it and got any times or numbers. I realy appreciate your videos and sharing your painstaking problems along the way. Most people cut those out and leave us hanging. You don't..... kudos
Thanks the front sway bar install was my last big install video I posted. Have spent the last couple of months getting as much work done on the cars before it gets too hot in AZ already 90 degrees in the garage. Should have more videos coming in the next month or two, planning on spending the summer months editing instead of installing.
What sort of 0-60 or quarter mile times are you running on it? Are you making any decent gains in acceleration?
Do I need the tune to run it with 91 till I get a tuner and tune
whats the benefits on flex fuel? if i just upgrade downpipe , intercooler , stage 3 , type r turbo and using 93. can it become 330whp?
I think it’ll be over 330 whp with those mods
Benefits of flex fuel are the price vs the power output. You'll pay $900 for the PRL downpipe but I guarantee spending $500 on the flex fuel kit will net you more power gains
we don’t need to remove any wirings right? We just have to re route them and plug some old wirings to the flex fuel kit right sir? The only thing you removed was the bracket?
and how’s your MPG sir? drop big time or not that much. And another question is that, If I ever go in a roadtrip and couldn’t find any e85, will my car run safely with just 91 even though I have flex fuel already installed? Thanks
I currently have used e30 in a while. Been running pump gas, moved and am not sure where an e85 station is. You need to disconnect the coolant sensor as shown in the video.
Where do you enable flex fuel in ktuner?
Did you have to disconnect the battery first?
I did, always a best practice to follow.
Do you have to take out the inlet to install the flex fuel?
Not necessary, think I was doing the turbo install at the same time which was why the inlet was off.
Does doing this help with fuel economy? Also what does providing more octane do?
Also happy birthday to your son!!!!
It should actually decrease fuel economy a little since you have to spray more fuel. It's going to be minor. More octane allows you to run more timing, which nets more power.
Your son is awesome
Thanks a lot!
Good job
Thank you!
Dude shut up and install the flex fuel kit!
Great vids and nice content! I recent purchased a 2020 Accord 2.0t and I love it. I watch a lot of diy vids so just as a suggestion,I would say to try and incorporate more lighting. I really think that would help when we are trying to see what you’re doing. Keep being you bro!
Thanks for the feedback. Will do am hoping the new videos come out will reflect better lighting and camera angles versus the body cam.
This is a great video.. i sat threw all of it and i got good information from you about the flex fuel . will watch it over again to remember what i have to do to my accord . thanks!
oh btw we have the same tail lights!!!
Glad it was helpful, hope you are running flex fuel soon!
