I listen to your videos for me to fall asleep, I just finished "The survivalist" video and was looking for another just for me to fall on to sleep. This was perfect timing since I already binged almost everything 😂
I know Dog mentions the Church in Dead Money, but I really wanted to see someone in New Vegas that had a robe that their great grandfather had from long ago but never mentioned where exactly it came from.
I always liked Tabitha's acknowledgement of them in New Vegas. "Acceptance into Utobitha open to mutants only. Former human servants of the Master conditionally accepted for purposes of centaur feeding duties." Also, the idea that a super mutant society would be free of violence, spite and stupidity is pretty funny. I really don't think the Master ever looked too closely at his test subjects, especially as he somehow missed them being sterile.
Great vid man. I remember storming the cathedral, it was intense. The writing and story for Fallout 1 was amazing. Not too many games these days have been able to pull me into their universe like Fallout 1 and 2 did.
I always theorize that the children of the cathedral after the masters death migrated South like the super mutants did and rename themselves the church of the atom
Work was starting to drag and then you came to lighting up my day 😁👌🏼 Love the work, never a bad video! A beastlords video in the future would be an awesome one in my opinion. But keep doing what you do boss, I’ll enjoy it either way 😁
I'm hoping Bethesda does a 76 California expedition so we can see the Unity in 3d Fallout and maybe get their robes as a outfit or their cathedral as a camp set
The idea of these people worshipping the nuclear bomb reminds me of the mutants from "Beneath the Planet of The Apes" that had a church built around a nuke. I wonder if that was part of what inspired it?
I love when the Man makes lore videos. I have to say that I began to watch your videos when you made videos about weird places in FO 3 did you will make more videos im that format from other fallouts one day? It was fun and entertaining because it was both like lore and gameplay bit with a good narrator.
So in the Hearts of Iron 4 mod Old World Blues, the remnants of the Cathedral have had a much harder time than their Master’s Army counterparts. While the remnants of the Master’s Army has influence all throughout the West and Texas, most of the Cathedral is gone. However, there is still some scattered influence left within Cascadia. Primary within the Bone Dancers tribe, where a acolyte can take power and forge a new Unity.
Love your videos man! I'll comment and like every vid I need to so you can get the algorithm blessings. You should do this for all games, in the same sorta video summary/essay format. I'd pay for that
The Unity is truly one of the scariest organizations in Fallout's history. And unlike the Enclave or Vault-Tek which were over the top in their evil; was scary in how rational The Master's reasoning was
Now imagine fallout game where whole branch of this cult survived and they trying recreate Master plan of "Unity" making them as big threat to BoS or NCR. That could be interesting game.
the first time i played fallout 1 i had no idea what the story was and ran up across this and was just like......"this is a cult, 100% a cult" and my curious nature broke in lol just to add, i was pretty shocked to find hostile super mutants in there so my idea quickly went to these mutants are running the cult to eat people lol
Always interested in the lore of the Cults in All Franchises (for Example Rise of the Triads, Alien and the Faith Videogame to Mention Some) and now Fallout. Ps amazing Video as Always.
As those who have followed Tim Cain's UA-cam channel know, Morpheus' voice actor, the legend David Warner, was hoping he would get a role where he would be a Good Guy. Obviously, it didn't work out for him, but he still gave a great performance because he was a legend!
Wasnt there a way to save the Cathedral ? . i think that if yu convince him to quit it doesnt blow up the church . Maybe . Been awhile since i played it .
@@Synonymous101 fair point. Hopefully Bethesda touches more onto the faction as a whole both the children of atom and more on the original fallout lore in fallout 5. Gives ya more content to make and more stuff to watch while I homebrew my Florida setting for the tabletop rpg
Do you think you could do a fallout lore video on the hubologists? I feel like people that didn’t play the original games just think about them as nut jobs outside nukaworld!
It is never said, but food grown in hydroponic farms supplemented by food synthesizers may have provided enough food for a small number of people, sprinkle in some cannibalism and they could have survived
Hey, here's one: according to You've Gotta Shoot 'Em In The Head, Alistair Tenpenny is a ghoul bigot, but in the Tenpenny Tower quest, he doesn't mind them so much. Explain THAT.
I have a possible explanation, which is that the Shoot 'Em In The Head quest revolves around you killing the people on the kill list given to you by Mr. Crowley because he wants the keys each of them have, so he can unlock all the doors in Fort Constantine bunker to gain access to the T-51b power armor bunker, and it just so happens that Alistair Tenpenny has one of these keys. So Mr. Crowley could be lying about Alistair Tenpenny so you hate Tenpenny and are okay with killing him, as he did with another character he had on his list for us to kill. By the way the reason I said another character when telling you about the character we know Mr. Crowley lied to us about so we would kill him is because I don't remember the name of the character off the top of my head.
Ahhh good lore as always.i know this may be a dumb idea but how about a vid on the lowest IQ people in fallout, which also let's you do a Highest in vid too. Keep up the great work.
I personally believe the children of the cathedral was ultimately better for the wasteland , it provided aid for the sick and the weak. While the intentions of the master were bad, the services were good.
Always a good day when we get more Fallout lore
I’m happy people are being shown just how awesome the story is for fallout 1 and 2. Thank you for the work you do, sir.
Fallout 1 and 2 are overlooked by casual fans, but they are hands down the best games in terms of story. New Vegas is on par as well

The Master controlled the supermutants with his psychic telepathy
Recently played this game for the first time, quickly became one of my favourite games ever.

I always hoped we’d see a new version of the Children of the Cathedral someday in a future game.
No
Only a remaster
Play Hoi4 Old World Blues, finish what the Master started!

Man. Who knew I needed bedtime stories again? These are great to fall asleep to. Your voice be calming.
Yes finally more content. Loved your longer video but will take a quick fix too
Another video to watch before I sleep. So relaxing. Thank you Synonymous. ❤
Nice I was just on a binge of your videos and I get a new upload :). Can't wait for the Old World blues vid :)
Love your Fallout Lore videos. I always learn something new :)
Wake up babe, new Synonymous just dropped
Best fallout faction tbh
Glad I found this great video about Fallout lore! Keep it coming!

The next morgan freeman here, I'd pay to have you narrate my life lol
Me: "i wish i knew more about the children of the Cathedral"
Also me, last week: "oh, synonymous doesn't have a video on them? Guess i don't care"
Love this series. Love these games. Love the lore. Have you considered making a video about Mr. House?
All in good time my friend 😁👍
The picture with the super mutants in the a metro city or fallout online is the best picture of super mutants

Hell yeah more lore to jam to at work

Love these OG videos, cheers mate!
Ah wonderful, a new synonymous video just in time for my afternoon cup of tea
Babe wake up, synonymous dropped a new vid
as a massive fan of your work i cant help but notice you havent done ug-qualtoth yet
😐
Babe wake up, Synonymous posted!
thanks for the lore bud.
Now imagine fallout game where whole branch of this cult survived and they trying recreate Master plan of "Unity" making them as big threat to BoS or NCR. That could be interesting game.
you think you could do a synopsis on the Commonwealth Minutemen
really enjoyed this one
Excellent video, as usual.
Will you be making videos like this about Starfield?
Once I'm familiar with the game, yes 😁👍

Waking up to Fallout Lore? I’ll take it

My fondest memory of him was The Archmage from Gargoyles
The Lobe from Freakazoid! 😢
BABE WAKE UP, SYNONYMOUS UPLOADED!!
was the the birth of The Children of Atom
The Children of Atom have a similar religious foundation to The Children of The Cathedral, but are a separate albeit similar faction
"JOIN THE UNITY"
This is a very good video
Bless the creator
YES(!) favorite channel
Let's gooooo any fallout 1 lore is the best
Have you considered making a video about the Followers of the Apocalypse?
Sorry babe can’t talk rn synonymous just uploaded a video on some fallout lore about a game I haven’t played.
Ok...OK...Enough Synonymous. I'll go and actually play Fallout 1&2. You don't need to be so pushy lol
Are you ever going to do a Brother Hood of Steel lore vid??? Or maybe Courier Six????
My next video will be covering the Maxson family, so quite a bit of BoS lore on the way! 😁👍
I have been patiently waiting!!!
Those robes look so dirty. I do say, The Master took getting rid of fighting to the extreme.
Wasnt there a way to save the Cathedral ? . i think that if yu convince him to quit it doesnt blow up the church . Maybe . Been awhile since i played it .
I think the only ending where the cathedral isn't destroyed is the ending where you side with the master and turn into a super mutant.
Oh...
I will visit that place very soon since I play Fallout 1... 😏
There's has to be a way to get Fallout 1 and 2 to operate correctly on windows 11.
Hey ! You're not Oxhorn !
Just a joke of course ! Been tagging along with my Fallout 1-2 play !
What music do you use as your maib theme?
Another day of fallout lore and an open highway. Smoke em' if you got em, boys.
So the children of the cathedral were almost a kind of children of atom sect
I think it would be the other way around, but they do have a similar religious foundation
@@Synonymous101 fair point. Hopefully Bethesda touches more onto the faction as a whole both the children of atom and more on the original fallout lore in fallout 5. Gives ya more content to make and more stuff to watch while I homebrew my Florida setting for the tabletop rpg
Ah... good to see REAL Fallout again
Fallout 1 storyline plz
Already covered in The Vault Dweller video
"Praise Atom"
I'm going to guess the Followers will be next
You and Epicnate are both fantastic in making Fallout lore videos. Keep it up while we are waiting for a 5th installment.

awesome
Will there be a Mr. House Fallout Lore?
All I’m hearing is good majority were good people
Is there two narrators for this channel why do some videos his voice sounds so different
How did a show vault have enough food to feed them. Or any food
It is never said, but food grown in hydroponic farms supplemented by food synthesizers may have provided enough food for a small number of people, sprinkle in some cannibalism and they could have survived
@@Synonymous101 I like the cannibalism aspect. Paints a much darker picture which is common in Vaults. Ok they need to add a cannibal Vault.
