yaay glad you're trying it! some tips would be when ur putting the tracing holes for the embroidery for long lines u don't need to make the holes really close together, but during curves you should make them closer together so it looks curvier and not like straight lines. just be careful not to make them too close together, otherwise when ur embroidering the canvas might tear and there will be a bigger hole. if you're worried about drawing your own pic to trace u can also just print out the picture that you want and just choose what you want to outline! i can't think of anything else off the top of my head rn but lmk if theres any specific things you wanna ask about! happy to help

i’d be careful with a thinner needle as it might not be strong enough to go through canvas and normal sewing thread might be too thin to see but if it’s a smaller sized canvas it could work, i’d recommend getting embroidery thread/needle
sorry i don't know the exact size of the needle i just grabbed the largest size i had that came with a sewing needle kit my mom bought a really long time ago

I have a question. How did you switch colours from white to blue? Did you make a knot or something so the white doesn’t come out or…?
yea, i basically ended my stitch so i tied it up in the back and just started a new line with the other colour

for the fingers do you stitch them close together? i camt seem to get it right
i made my stitches smaller yeah, it's important to do that when doing curved parts since smaller shorter stitches will make it look more round
