MATERIALS USED:
-Sharpie oil-based paint pen in black, fine point
-Artist's Loft Acrylic Paint
-Acrylique Acrylic Paint (literally dollar store paint lol)
-paperclip/pin
-paintbrushes, both round and flat-edged and various sizes lol (I'm using old stuff I found in my storage so idk brands or anything sorry but pre sure most of them are just paintbrushes found in most basic paintbrush sets)
-picture frame
-nail polish remover & q-tips
-printed out reference picture
-canva (for resizing reference photo)

These kinds of videos where they actually add their mistakes and emphasizes on how tedious art can be is so inspiring. I really like art but I found out that I'm not as patient with experimenting. I'm glad it turned really beautiful ✨✨
im actually so glad for this comment because I tried my best to put in my whole process of making this including the mistakes and im so happy you noticed that!! yes art is tedious and im no expert but i wanna show everyone that sometimes you can just try whatever youd like and it works out!
hiii i’m a painter and i just wanted to recommend putting more red in the paint when mixing skin. The skin color you mixed was a bit yellow, BUT IT WAS AN AMZING FIRST TRY✨✨Hope you could do this again :)💕💕

i love how if you mess up you can use rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to take the marker off

Just wanted to answer some common questions!
1. Do you paint on the side you drew on or the opposite side? -You paint on the side you drew on with the marker
2. What paint did I use? -Acrylic! Brands are in the description (I mostly used dollar store paint lol)
3. Where is my glass pane from? -I bought a 4 in x 6 in picture frame from Michaels
4. What colours did I use? -Most shades I just mixed up myself, and then swatched the tiniest bit on the glass to see if it matched the reference photo or just guessed lol
5. How long did this take me? -It took about a week but I didn't work on it every day and some days i spent more time on it but it probs took approximately 6 hours total? It takes a bit to let the paint dry since we're layering a lot of paint on

Looks great flaws are not noticed unless you point it out but a great tip use a xacto tip to have a whole lot control to clean up the lines, and the paint pen to get more ink you gotta push the tip in to reactivate the paint in the tip. But this was mastered beautifully. Thank you so much for sharing. Can't wait for more like this

Im pretty sure Dollar Tree has some nice frames and Walmart has acrylic paint for 50 cents each 😊 I don’t have money either so that’s where I get my supplies from 😌

if you wanna make your own drawings to paint i recommend krita for the photoshop or drawing and since im lazy i use canva most of the time for repositioning and making a collage of photos that i sell to my family for a few dollars each >:D also maybe you could use a tiny bit of cotton on a needle tip to get some of the tiny details
I just finished painting Kenma on glass and it is currently 2:17 am.... WORTH IT!! It looks amazing (gonna look again in the morning and probably hate it but whatever.)

glad i could help!! that was the very point of the video haha from a 15 second clip to a 20 min in depth video tutorial :)
U can use sharpie to outline just do abt 3 coats and let dry for 30-40 mins or u can use black paint and a small brush:)

you should probably get a brownish color
ahh glad that the tutorial helps! I used a light tan colour mixed with brown and a darker tan colour, it's just a lot of mixing and trial and error

The lines on my painting ain’t gonna be straight cause I got a thick marker and ✨shaky hands✨
I never have a use for those paint markers (so they get used once and dry out) so I just did the lines also in acrylic
Props for giving credit on something so universally done. It's so common you could probably get away with not credited anyone, but its cool that you posted a bunch of accounts at the start

Highly suggest going to any thrift store and finding a picture frame there for a couple dollars!! Craigslist or anything like that is also good because you can find people wanting to get rid of old pictures/ paintings in a frame for free or a bundle for a couple dollars
Also a paint marker works really well, I like the brand posca, you can get one for about $3 at any craft store
