My old man told me one time that he had a dream that he was a muffler on this car. Said he rode all over town in his dream and he woke up exhausted 😂
Ha ha ha, the exhaust jokes never get old!
She’s looking better and better every video. You took the words right out of my mouth with the shifter shaking. Definitely the tires are bad. Another little project for the truck could be converting the exterior lights to LED. I did that on my ‘99 super duty last weekend, made one hell of a difference. And it was only $80 total to do it.
I think I'm going to do that. One of the next projects is to return it to the stock Infinity sound system it came with - self-amplified speakers and all. I'm busy gathering parts for that project now - That stuff's hard to come by!
@@ProjectTimeGarage, i bet it is. I like to use as much motorcraft parts as possible on my ‘99 F-350. The only performance thing on it is the aftermarket exhaust that was installed by the original owner.
Sounds great! I remember those 2nd gear take offs from my old V10’s.
1st is basically useless and low range 1st is crazy low.
@@ProjectTimeGarage crazy low. I remember you almost couldn’t even give it any gas if you wanted to take off in 1st or it would buck. Worked well for pulling some of my buddies out of the mud though! Haha
This thing is coming along! Enjoy your videos dude! Keep up the great work!
Thanks, plenty more to come!
I had the local exhaust put on a 3.5" single exit muffler for like an rv and he used a cummins tail pipe. Nice tone, but comfortable sound while cruising or under power. However at idle it literally rattles walls with how deep it is. I dont have cats and have headers and a cam.
Did the headers make a difference? I also have questions about the cam. Are you happy with them?
I had Minecraft muffler and Gig Harbor Washington.Install my cat back Gibson on my 96V10 along with jba headers. And new stainless pipes.New cats fully welded it for me.Custom job over 2 grand in the exhaust system on this truck. It's bad ass...
Hmmm, been looking at headers.
😂😂 i bet you were planning on saying that dad joke once you got the exhaust
LOL! Yeah I had been saying it ever since I ordered the kit.
No axle dump with a 8'' tip? Weird must not be required on all 2nd gens lol. Sounds nice and quiet I like it!
Lol, if it were Diesel, it would be required. Thankfully gas engines are exempt.
I’d trade that job for doing this fuel line job and injectors on this 7.3 any day 😂
Oooh, I wouldn't trade ya. Been there, done that job a few times.
@@ProjectTimeGarage oh it gets even better the front driver fuel port broke off flush with the head. Guess I’m pulling the bracket that holds the alternator and power steering pump on attempting to extract and possibly retapping 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
that job turned out nice... ive been on both sides of the exhaust sound extreme loud to nice but not to quite side. oh by the way, make sure your in the shop on Monday i will be filling a workman's comp. claim for the exhaust pipe incident.... hahahaha..jk!!!! keep on wrenchin!!!
LOL, those falling cameras will getcha!
Great video. I don't enjoy muffler/exhaust work which is probably why I don't do it anymore. I have a few questions on your truck: The wet areas underneath, are they from the transfer case or output seals? Is there rocker rust on the pax side? I've watched several of your videos and haven't seen that. Your truck is in great shape. I'm currently looking at several truck options and am learning from your tutorials.
The wet areas do appear to be coming from the output seal and yep, it's rocker rust. Strange since the truck has been in middle TN for its entire life.
@@ProjectTimeGarage Odd, does your state use salt on the roads? First time I've noticed the rockers.
@@jeffreypinder9398 yes, but only a few times per year.
Nice
Thanks
The reving sounds the same but the idling is quiter
I agree. Also the noise in the cab has decreased.
What’s up with that center console??? What’s it out of?
It's actually for this truck. Here's the Amazon link: Console: amzn.to/3AAeH4E
@@ProjectTimeGarage thank you!
What exact Gibson is this? There is 2 that look the same and have the same name but are different prices by 100 bucks?
The MFR part number is: 316510
Do you have a link for that exhaust
Yep! amzn.to/3xX59D0
Exhausting...lol
Yep, I have all the "Dad jokes".
Your not a mechanic if you don’t have a black thumb nail! 😂
LMAO! I'm crying reading this.... Friggin hilarious. True too.
