Great advice. I'm saving to move to a more expensive county. Would like to see a video on typical restoration and renovation costs that are essentials-e.g. rewiring a three room cottage or a two storey farmhouse, a new roof, heating systems, damp proofing, insulation, new windows... ball park figures, though I know it can vary around the country. Buying an old property is usually just the start of the financial outlay. Other than that just more filming in old properties when travel restrictions are gone. :)
Thank you for making wonderfully helpful videos. Bright, uplifting, helpful, positive. The list could go on. Future video topic: buying in Offaly County. Wishing you a nice day.
I am amazed by the number of advertisements for cottages that turn out to be a pile of stones, still at a premium price though 🤔😬 I love your vids Maggie, hope I can resume my searches soon ✊🤞
Just found your videos by chance and can't believe my luck really... Your talking about everything that i'm thinking and trying to do... What sites do you look at property on.. I only use 2 and most of them are auctions... Also I can't believe how many houses are empty.. Why?
@@CheapIrishHouses 😆 Hi Ms. Maggie Molloy, As always I LOVE your videos & hilarious no nonsense & dry sarcasm. When you said, "Don't be just goin "Oh that's a lovely 3 bedroom, 2 story farmhouse & it has 25 outbuildings & 3 acres and sure I'll just go & look at them because that's what I want to live in." "You need to be lookin at farmhouses that have half the side pulled off because someone wanted to drive a tractor in there...." 😆😆 Ahahaha...lovvvvve it
How much better off money wise is it to keep a site with a ruin on it Vs clearing it and starting from scratch? Thanks for the video! Very valuable info :)

As a fellow Wexican who doesn't want to venture too far, this was EXTREMELY helpful! Thank you Maggie!! 😃
Love her so warm and friendly and wants to help others
Good sensible advice - plenty examples of houses that are ‘invisible‘ in listings.
You have such great energy and enthusiasm.
You are really insightful. Find this very useful. Thank you.
Ps I love your wall display. A video on your decor would be amazing

Hey great video :) how did you get to choose your own thumbnail for the video?
Hiya! Where it suggests the 5 or so random thumbnails for you to pick from, there’s also an option to upload one. So I put it in there.
