From the first Doctor, to the 12th! Here is a supercut compilation of EVERY "EXTERMINATE", "EXTERMINATED", "ANNIHILATE", and "ANNIHILATED" in Doctor Who so far, and since Chris Chibnall has said that the Daleks will NOT be appearing in Series 11, this should be up to date for at least a year or 2!

DoctorGeek actually the contract terry nation made with the bbc says the Daleks must be in every series. So we will see them again. But I hope it won't be cameo. The Daleks need a proper story. Their last was one was the magicians apprentice/the witches familiar and that one was in 2015. Please chibnall bring them back PROPERLY.
A Piece of Garbage 04 Yea, as you just pointed out, Series 10 didn’t have the Daleks, and neither did a good amount of the Classic seasons, so I don’t know where you heard Terry Nation had that stipulation in a contract. They bring back the Daleks a lot because they are the Doctors oldest enemies, and every Doctor wants to face off against them at least once, but there’s no requirement for it. I’m sure Chibnall will use them once he thinks of the right story.

Fun Fact: All the Dalek Voices in the Classic Series were slightly different because no-one wrote the ring modulator settings down.

I'd imagine the pitch of the voice changes it drastically as well since a ring modulator basically produces the effect it does by interfering with the pitch of the signal. Maybe it doesn't affect voices as much as Im imagining but using a ring modulator on a guitar the modulator hits its peak tone at certain frequencies (usually picked by a knob) so a similar voice in different pitches could change how drastically the ring modulator modulates the sound. Just a guess though
The ring modulator only provides the wripple sound effect. But the tonal expression is done by the voice actors. So they were inconsistent all the time.
If you believe that it is indeed the ring modulator: they sold you crap.

13:26 - it always creeped me out when the three Dalek's start screaming for Extermination. It gets so loud and melds together into this wordlessly intimidating wailing sound of pure horror. Remembrance of the Dalek's did a great job in making the Dalek's as intimidating as all hell, including one of the best cliffhangers in Whostery (Episode 1).
But fear not, the doctor has a confetti gun. Bye bye daleks

I think the reason we don't see the paradigm Daleks anymore is that they were all confined on the asylum because the fandom hated them. And then they got the doctor to blow the asylum up.
Yeah even Moffat admitted that they looked terrible on film, haha. Apparently they look a lot better in person but NO ONE wants colorful Daleks. What's next? Pink and Blue Cybermen? Thanks for watching!
DoctorGeek well the Daleks did change colour a lot. But if they keep the bronze ones or even bring the death to the dalek colour scheme back, the fans would except a redesign.
You're right, idk what it is about the Paradigm Daleks that makes them look so weird. We got all Black Daleks with Planet of the Daleks, and my least favorite are those white ones in Revelation, but once you go full "colors of the Rainbow," it just doesn't feel like a Dalek anymore. The Daleks don't strike me as being too preoccupied with aesthetics.

The first thing that I ever got introduced to Doctor Who was the word “Exterminate”. Daleks were sort of the reason of how I knew a little bit about the show- also the theme song. It’s been 6 years since I learned about the existence of this show. Just this year of March 17, 2019 I finally did watch Doctor Who for the first time. Currently watching season 11 of the revived series, but willing to watch the classical series now after I’m done. Wonderful job putting everything together!!!

14:03 Fun fact about why the Dalek voices in the TV movie sound so bad:
The Dalek voices were a last minute edition to the movie to get a quick injection of fan service, but no one on the crew of the movie were Doctor Who devotees & aficionados like they (mostly) are in modern Doctor Who to the point that when the producer got a (presumably) written note about having a Dalek reference, he said, "What are _'Day-leks'?"_
Someone then gave a brief, haphazard explanation of what _Daleks_ are & did a weak impression of one, & they wound up using his weak impression as the final Dalek voice in the movie & just pitch-shifted it slightly. 🤦♂️🤣

Am I the only one who finds the scene at 6:23 a bit comical? The doctor is completely restrained but the three Daleks just go on and on chanting “you will be exterminated” instead of actually just exterminating him.

As much as I loved the Dalek episodes with the 12th Doctor, there were just so many stupid things like the emotional and memory inhibitor or whatever that was, or the translation thing... those parts could have been done differently, the Daleks are perfect as they are, they didn't have to add anything like that... :/
