While I understand the criticisms that people have towards Springfield Armory, I still want one of the new TRP pistols. All of my Springfield Armory 1911's have been solid. Including both of my Prodigy's 🤷♂️.
@DemocratsPartyofSatan I was referring to their anti 2a blunder from a few years ago. That particular criticism is quite justified. However I only hold the management level people involved in that debacle accountable, not the lower level employees that didn't support that decision. That's why I still buy their products, to support the employees that actually support the 2nd amendment.
Same here man I picked it up after your old first video like two years ago on the full rail your duty weapon. Love mine thanks to your video Roger..🤙👍👍
Yall just made and I recieved an excellent holster for my 4 inch 1911.(.45 acp JMB proud) These videos are a bonus to your craftmanship. QVO all day long. I own 6 of your holsters...No shameless plug here. Im an old gen Xr (49). We had a drill for the 45 called the zipper...you started low and recoil brought you to the head or top of A zone in a single stack mag dump. nuts to nugget.
4.25” 9mm, double-stack magazine, full length dust cover (rail?), full length tungsten guide rod, fiber optic front with blacked out rear irons, and optic cut..please and thank you; another great video..well done gents
I picked up a full rail TRP with a x300 two weeks ago ( shoots amazing) and won number 577/1000 on the Chris Kyle TRP they made this past week. Now I’m looking at the new models and considering a couple more.
Another outstanding review of 2 outstanding pistols! I just love the murdered out look of the 5", but the size and weight of the Commander sized pistol means that's the one I'd definitely want to pick up for carry. Extra props for those old school, always reliable CMC Power 10 mags, too! 👍👍👍
Yeah man! I knew you’d dig this one with the Screen Name and all! Always love the TRP lineup! Thanks as always for the support, we greatly appreciate it!
I would love to see the TRP current version just with an optic cut in 45 with a threaded and non threaded version with suppressor height sights, I think everyone was expecting an optic cut and they fell short again
The 4.25 version is just an aluminum frame not steel, should be cheaper than $2k, but then again so should the full size. Ditto on the OG bull barrel, the older half rail has a bull barrel too.
Total agreement re: "what I want.." @ 34:15. I was in the market for exactly that- a 9mm in a 1911 frame; being a old school 1911 guy, wound up with a TRP CC (love it)... But I still wish for the bull barrel, compensated, 1911 framed, concealed carry 9mm from SA.
Curious for your TRP Operator did you swap out the guide rod? Pain in this ass to field strip needing a tool (paper clip). Thinking about swapping it out for one of those Dawson Precision tooless guide rods.
Referring to the capacity topic, in Commiefornia here and were limited to 10 rounds mags for now, I'd rather carry 10 rounds of .45 instead of 10 rounds of 9mm so the capacity topic is null and void here. I just got an OG full rail TRP. Can't wait to get some rounds through it.
I just picked up the full size fde. I’m more accurate with my Dan Wesson Specialist. My biggest complaint is my thumb safety is extremely loose and the guide rod unscrews constantly.
For a first 1911. Would this be a good option? I know there’s this 2024 TRP and the operator from a few years ago. Anyone have any thoughts for first 1911?
yeah a prodigy trp would be sick. they should bring the TRP name into their prodigy line 100%. My wish is for a island comp double stack 1911. Can Springfield Deliver?!
If you live in a state with a magazine capacity limited to 10, then that commander makes sense. Your double stack 9mm is not allowed, so 9 rounds of 45 makes sense.
Always great content. For me personally, single stacked in 2024 just doesn't work. Way too many double stacked 1911s or even 2011s if you like staccato. I think Springfield missed on this one
Both Dan Wesson and SA TRP’s are great both are Hand fitted the difference between the two are that Dan Wesson uses machined parts, while TRP uses mim parts, the Newer SA TRP’s according to SA and 10-8 performance has more hand fitting than previous models with fitment being the best over all previous TRP’s, Dan Wesson cost more but are hand fitted use all forged frame, slide, barrel and machine parts with the SA TRP being Hand fitted having Forged Frame, Slide, barrel and mim parts which are fitted and polished both are great once the SA come out more and street prices kick in under MSRP it will be a good buy but if you have the money to spend the Dan Wesson is a very nice option out of the box, hopefully that helped you out.
I play the odds - chances of being in an armed altercation are about 1 in 700,000, the chances I survive are 50/50 at best as I am not a highly skilled shooter so I shout and carry what I like - which are commander and sometimes full size 1911’s when I go to areas that require protection. I am a Wilson guy mostly but Springfield’s Operator and TRP series are more than excellent for most folks!
Full rail 9mm TRP! Yes single stack, not everyone one wants that fat ass double stack prodigy. Keep the cheese grater front strap. But we've only been asking for this for years!
I have a quastion for anybody willing to answer.I run a hk mark23 for many years now and many rounds through it and if I ever was to switch to another platform it would be a 1911 only from spriengfield.(Im not an american and not a great fan of american guns so this says something about my admiration to spriengfield). Does anyone know approximately how many rounds a trp can withstand??off course I dont expect it to outlast a mark 23 but it would be good to know
lack of an optics cut makes this one a no go. Don't see how they could go through the effort to reintroduce this line without bothering to include a factory optics cut.
While I understand the criticisms that people have towards Springfield Armory, I still want one of the new TRP pistols. All of my Springfield Armory 1911's have been solid. Including both of my Prodigy's 🤷♂️.
Love my Prodigy!
what are the criticisms? i’ve never owned a Springfield.
What’s crazy is none of the criticisms are justified..
@DemocratsPartyofSatan I was referring to their anti 2a blunder from a few years ago. That particular criticism is quite justified. However I only hold the management level people involved in that debacle accountable, not the lower level employees that didn't support that decision. @@garrettdunyon4505 oh. I thought you were talking about the criticism of their handguns
Shot my new TRP carry today. Was really impressed on how accurate it was! Shot flawlessly. Really happy with it!
I just picked up a TRP Operator Full Rail because of you Roger! Let’s get Landon that X300!!! 🥳
Hey oh! Nice man! Glad to hear it!
From where I can seem to find um … how much did it run you ?
Same here man I picked it up after your old first video like two years ago on the full rail your duty weapon. Love mine thanks to your video Roger..🤙👍👍
Voting for Landon getting that x300 turbo pls. He's an awesome guy!
Hey oh! Agreed!
Damn I late to the party my bad

Hahha thank you for the kind words and support! We also appreciate you checking out our videos, means a lot to us!
Love the 1911/2011 platform. Roger got me hooked and I’m never looking back. Let’s get Landon his surefire!
Hey oh! Thanks man! Yes let’s get Landon that SureFire!
4.25” 9mm, double-stack magazine, full length dust cover (rail?), full length tungsten guide rod, fiber optic front with blacked out rear irons, and optic cut..please and thank you; another great video..well done gents
Hey oh! Yes, yes and YES! Thank you, appreciate you checking it out!
That 4.25 in FDE is my absolute grail gun. There is just something about a FDE 1911 with a bobtail that speaks to me haha.
Yeah that 4.25” is pretty clean!
The gun is prettier than Miss Philippines!.
I had to sell my TRP collection 'cause medical bills, but not too late to start again!.

Displaying the splits on screen, nice touch and real slick, im a fan!
Thanks!
While it's not a TRP, I do have an old A1, and I love it.
Still very cool!
Best review on these so far.
Thanks man! Appreciate that!
I remember when they came out with the half rail and I was so young I couldn’t buy it but I am buying a trp at the end of April
Everyone hates on the 1911, but every manufacturer trys to be one.
I would love to see the TRP current version just with an optic cut in 45 with a threaded and non threaded version with suppressor height sights, I think everyone was expecting an optic cut and they fell short again
commenting for the algorithm so more people watch and this gets 25k views 👍👍
Hahah thanks man!
Love the 1911 platform. Comfy good looking what’s not to like
The 4.25 version is just an aluminum frame not steel, should be cheaper than $2k, but then again so should the full size. Ditto on the OG bull barrel, the older half rail has a bull barrel too.

QVO, will you make this wing for the streamlight tlr 7a models in the future?
No, the x300u A model is the only light design that allows for ambi design.
Bummer. Makes sense though. Thanks man.
Another good video from you thanks.🤟👏👍😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
I got a chance to hold one at the LGS a few days back. It's nice.
Curious for your TRP Operator did you swap out the guide rod? Pain in this ass to field strip needing a tool (paper clip). Thinking about swapping it out for one of those Dawson Precision tooless guide rods.
Love ur vids . Btw when u said “ u taking a poop press like” i was literally taking a poop at that exact same time.
Bwahahah! Appreciate it! 🤣🤣😂
Looks like a solid pistol!
Yessir!
Great video guys, love to see the groupings and the fast action. Well done, will they bring them out in 9mm I wonder. Probably?
Love my trp stainless steel it's tack driver
Love my older stainless. I wish they kept the stainless on the new ones, so I could add a commander. The original commander TRP's are rare.
They've got a stainless Garrison Commander that you might like. I'm even considering one.
Referring to the capacity topic, in Commiefornia here and were limited to 10 rounds mags for now, I'd rather carry 10 rounds of .45 instead of 10 rounds of 9mm so the capacity topic is null and void here.

Got the Springfield MC Operator in OD green frame 1st gen that came out need to get a holster soon
Hey oh! That’s a sweet one for sure! Our 1911 holsters work for it great!
The widge nice
Question, Springfield or Dan wesson tcp? D.W. is 1800.00 it just came back in stock.
Dan Wesson TCP for sure! Can’t beat a bull barrel and no mim parts!
the DW is going to be better built.
TRP
10mm🇺🇸🥃
I pack th 6” 10mm rmr n a $30 suede galco iwb…10rd cobra mags..155gr ex defenders
Why they don’t make TRP’s in 9mm is beyond me.
that wing works on any 1911 that's able to use a x300 light?
I just bought the 4.25, could you tell me what light you're running on that commander?
Both are the Surefire x300u
@@RogerBarrera thank you.

In walks Johnny Rowland…”Where you guys been..?”…👊🏻
Do the factory 17rd mags work with the magwell?
What are the name of these 10 round magazines again?
yeah a prodigy trp would be sick. they should bring the TRP name into their prodigy line 100%. My wish is for a island comp double stack 1911. Can Springfield Deliver?!

If you live in a state with a magazine capacity limited to 10, then that commander makes sense. Your double stack 9mm is not allowed, so 9 rounds of 45 makes sense.
Would love to see you review the Masterpiece Arms DS9 Hybrid
Springfield needs to add the full rail and bull barrel to the new line up. Plus optic cut and V-10 port. Maybe 2025.
Always great content. For me personally, single stacked in 2024 just doesn't work. Way too many double stacked 1911s or even 2011s if you like staccato. I think Springfield missed on this one
Wish it had U notch sights a bushing barrel and single side safety. To each their own.
Lol yes they do make a .46... Clarks down in Louisiana 460 conversion.lol
The full rail gun is the only Bul Barrel made by Springfield now.
So how to these new TRPs compare to Dan Wesson pistols
Both Dan Wesson and SA TRP’s are great both are Hand fitted the difference between the two are that Dan Wesson uses machined parts, while TRP uses mim parts, the Newer SA TRP’s according to SA and 10-8 performance has more hand fitting than previous models with fitment being the best over all previous TRP’s, Dan Wesson cost more but are hand fitted use all forged frame, slide, barrel and machine parts with the SA TRP being Hand fitted having Forged Frame, Slide, barrel and mim parts which are fitted and polished both are great once the SA come out more and street prices kick in under MSRP it will be a good buy but if you have the money to spend the Dan Wesson is a very nice option out of the box, hopefully that helped you out.
double stack 1911 with an optic cut would cut into their Prodigy sales so i doubt we will see one of those soon
How do they handle hollowpoints?
Nice video
Dude, buy that guy a x300!! 😂
I play the odds - chances of being in an armed altercation are about 1 in 700,000, the chances I survive are 50/50 at best as I am not a highly skilled shooter so I shout and carry what I like - which are commander and sometimes full size 1911’s when I go to areas that require protection. Hahahah we had to!
@@RogerBarrera Well good sir thanks for the great content and good shooting.
Was the holster for the Trp cc the 1911 4.25 option when ordering the holster?
Yep!
@@RogerBarrerathank you, definitely be ordering one for mine.
Sick video! Where is that hoodie from?
qvotactical.com/product/qvo-looney-goons-toons-hoodie/
Add a chunk port to all of those.
round placement + energy/stopping power beats shot placement with 9mm
I don’t understand the unending devotion to capacity?
I agree
Isn't the Prodigy DS their 1911 double stack?
It uses a polymer grip module. I’m talking about a full metal frame with integrated grip like a 1911.
Full rail 9mm TRP! Yes single stack, not everyone one wants that fat ass double stack prodigy. Keep the cheese grater front strap. But we've only been asking for this for years!
Hey bro! When’s the thumb cliff being restocked again?
Hopefully tomorrow. Email will be sent out
@@RogerBarrera sounds good! Thanks for reply!
Bobtail Commander TRP in 9mm please!

Sane price range can get a Dan Weeson that's NOT loaded w MIM parts...❤

Perfect. Based on the views to likes ratio, your boy only needs about 250,000 views before he gets his Surefire light 😂
Get Landon a X300!!!!!
