Staccato now sells the CS with the 17 round grip and a threaded barrel. I think a CS with full-size grip with a threaded barrel and a comp is probably one of the best carry options.
Do a grip reduction and stippling job on your C2 grip module and it almost feels like a C. Cheaper and if you have quite a few of the old mags you save money on getting a new gun and buying different mags for each gun. My 2 cents.
The C looks cool…prob eventually replace the C2 I would think, but if you have a CS or C2 not sure what the advantage is in general…but this coming from someone who has a few staccatos 😂
Sweet! I agree, the added grip length outta the box is certainly appreciated. I always liked the width of the CS vs. my C2s, but the CS overall dimensions just didn't work for me. I need to give the new C a closer look. 👍👍
Been rocking the '24 C compact grip with the 16rd mags, TLR7HLX, QVO more discreet IWB setup, and Mastermind tactics pillow wedge. Originally had a Tenicor Sagax Lux2 but did not care for the built-in contour and the retention was mushy. The QVO holster is a big upgrade. Can wear it appendix with a slim-fitting t-shirt without noticeable printing. It's a fantastic CCW and makes me seem like a better shooter than I am. Pricey setup but smooth and ergonomic! I'm just over 2,000 rds through it. I swapped in Staccato's extra power springs just for peace of mind, no change in reliability. I mostly shoot 124gr S&B at the range but it eats everything. Thanks for the video!
Great review! When you draw from AIWB, for your primary hand grip, do you use the claw grip (thumb over back plate or over rear sight) or do you jam the web of your hand high up into the grip tang of the gun (with your thumb sliding behind the gun)? And does this staccato shoot flatter than, say, a radian ramjet'd g45, g19, or sig macro?
Recoil is comparable with those and this. Very similar, would be less with the staccato if it were ported too. I wanna say I draw with thumb going behind gun and when I reholster I place thumb on back plate area if there is one.
Hey Roger. I just tested the Super Vel 115, 124, and 147 sampler compared to what I’ve been running; S&B 115. OMG, so much more accurate. I hit 10 for 10 in 2” square at 10 yards with Super Vel 124 compared to 5/10 with S&B. So I just bought 2,000 rounds SV 124’s. Thanks
For people saying that there’s no reason to buy this if you have a C2, I find this MUCH easier to carry and more comfortable with the thinness. C2 grip is fine for what it is but the 2024 C is much more refined in the small ways that make it superior. C2 is essentially dead.
I always start my zero with range ammo then I fine tune the zero with match or defense ammo. Making my match or defense ammo the zero. Keeping it all the same grain weight. Then when I train I use range ammo but I carry defense ammo and when I do matches I use match ammo.
Sold my C2 for the full sized C and I love it. Haven’t shot it yet but it feels SO much better and nicer in hand. The mag shit is gonna be a pain in the ass tho
Platt would compare to a staccato P, I too was on the platypus hype but imo the staccato is nicer, if you have the money. Finish quality and the dlc coating is worth it imo, plus with the platypus being one of the only glock 2011 only place to really get parts is stealth arms
Yeah those are valid points but modern mags are the best reliability wise on these platforms and that's where other 2011 manufacturers need to go.@@GuerrillaBonez
Roger- if you already have several Staccatos with many of the original mags, is it worth it to sell off and switch? I like that there is mag compatibility between the XC, P, C2, and can use the same mags for all of them. This would mean either switching or having two different mags. While I get why they are doing it, man that gets annoying . .
I mean in my mind if you’re in the market to spend for the staccato what’s an extra $200 for some mags. I love that I can share mags with my P and XC. But this is a slimmer design.
I’m sure you get holster questions all the time. I’m curious if you know if the Bul Armory EDC or SAS TAC ii 4.25 with TLR-1HL will fit the Safariland ALS specifically 6304 RDS. It fits the Stacatto P and the Prodigy 4.25. I feel like it will but didn’t know for sure.
Not that you care what I think but I like to zero from a rest and then make my adjustments from standing. I feel my zero is much more consistent doing it that way imo.
The 2024 C compact grip is just a few mm too short and the full sized grip is just a tad too long. Waiting for QVO to restock the magwell to see if that adds the few mm for the 2024 C compact grip and make it perfect.
Love staccato, but I’m already invested in the legacy mags, and with how expensive staccatos are it’s not realistic to switch for the minor upgrades of the C. I’ll keep my XC for Duty and C2 for off duty
You don't drop a shot by like 10 inches on a target that close because of a 4 pound single action trigger. Like the fuck. Just say you anticipated the shot and move on. I don't even do that with a stock Glock trigger.
So it's got the sane controls as a 1911, it's cut for a red dot, and it has a 4in barrel. Oh and only has local PD contracts here in the states. Meanwhile FN has the 509 MRD. Low pro optic mounting system for cowittness. 4in barrel. No external safeties. 17 round mag flush fit. Tritium sights. AND it's from the gun company that had been making military firearms for the world for decades, proven combat record and quality. All for under a grand.....so please do tell why this 2011 is worth thousands
Maybe buy the FN then? Some people like the external safety, some people prefer the single action trigger. Do you. Or buy a cheaper 2011 like the prodigy, but it’s kind of silly to compare two guns that have three very large distinctions, those being triggers, da/sa, and an external safety. Cry more.
Great content as usual Roger! I like your old format better from a production standpoint, but can live with this. Keep churning dude!
Much appreciated! Yeah back and forth between range and studio just makes the production process much longer unfortunately.

@Hulley29 Same here. Not worth buying the C. A fan of the CS but I wish mag compatibility wasn't an issue.
You’re not wrong. Thanks for watching!

Got my C back from Monsoon they did the Grand Master GENGHIS KOMP. Shot amazing stock but dang that made such a difference!
Yeah man! Vinny does a great job!
Are there any plans of making a thumb cliff for the Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X, to pair with the new Staccato C?
Trying to figure out something for that!
Sweet! I agree, the added grip length outta the box is certainly appreciated. I always liked the width of the CS vs. my C2s, but the CS overall dimensions just didn't work for me. I need to give the new C a closer look. 👍👍

Looks like a sweet shooter.
100% this is my dream pistol. Granted I'd need to see how it does with my small hands. But I'd like a staccato in my arsenal.

I was considering the C or CZ Shadow 2 compact for a new carry gun. Thoughts? Regardless of price difference.
Is this better than the stealth arms platypus
Same question. Leaning Platypus based on how many G17 mags I already have.
It’s a different value prop. This is g19 size. Platy is obv g17

I probably won’t until the new mag size is more available and offered across more than just two guns.

QVO Tactical More Discreet

I’m patiently waiting on a nice Magwell for my 24 C
We need a comped version (mini XC)!
If staccato made a mini xc 4.25 inch barrel for less than 3k I’d spend then night outside my local dealer
Not that you care what I think but I like to zero from a rest and then make my adjustments from standing. I feel my zero is much more consistent doing it that way imo.
That’s cool! If it works for ya, good stuff man. Thanks for checking out the video!
I have the same set up as you were shooting (light/dot). Do you make a duty holster for that? Or can you recommend someone that does?
Not sure who makes a duty retention holster for that setup right now.
Can you make an extension for the old CS mags so we can use it in a full size C?
Any rumors of a thread on comp for this or the CS? Thinking about grabbing one with a threaded barrel.
Someone said they just released one on the website. I haven’t checked yet.

Yes C full size grip
Any reliability issues with RMR HD?

Staccato is currently offering a “limited edition” CS with full size grip- that might be the ticket?

Yeah if you want to use the same mags as your P and XC. Just will be a smidge thicker than the C.
after shooting the XC or comped guns like Radian ramjet afterburner, other guns feel meh.

The “C” is what the Staccato/STI shoulda been in 9mm.
The .45 ACP/.38 Super sized grip/magazine was effectively dead 20+ yrs ago.
Honestly the bench rest accuracy was pretty piss poor out of gun held to this standard.
