I simply cannot get enough of Karen's voice..... singing or talking.... it's like a drug, sweet bliss for my ears! If they put her as a background track on the phone....... like.... for when I'm waiting, on-hold for a customer service representative to get back to me, I could wait for days and not lose it! :D Listening to this interview just makes me want to sit in a cafe somewhere with Karen and just relax... listening to her, talking-up a gentle storm about whatever topic she wanted! :') ♥♥♥

I absolutely agree with you, rkmugen. I wish Karen had lived on and got to appear on thousands of variety shows or something where she was allowed to talk on and on about just about any topic, from fashion to baseball to any kind of small talk, or on politics or philosophy or literature or any serious topic, even on the most depressing subjects as well. I don't care what topic she happens to choose. By the way, is it just me, or is it that Karen is holding back a little bit in this interview? Not just in this particular interview, but in all other interviews, she didn't seem to be expressive of her ideas and feelings enough. I mean, she doesn't seem to be telling everything she wanted to say. I think she was just too considerate of Richard's and her mother's feelings and she was always trying to keep a low profile, careful not to be too spectacular.

And I honor Karen Carpenter 💐💐 by thinking nice thoughts of her and her brother Richard's talents!🤗🤗!! And I believe Karen Carpenter 💐💐was a very nice person who was down-to-earth, intelligent, she had great sense of humor a lot of talent and a lot of talent🤗🤗💐🧸🧸💛💛💛💛💛💛!!!! I so wish I could have met Karen Carpenter, but she died when I was a child😢🖤. However, her singing 🎤💐and drumming🥁💐 always comforts me during stressful times and through her music, I feel like her spirit is still with us 🤗🤗💛💛💛💛💛!!!

Karen you are remembered but not only for your music. You are also remembered for being the sweet, beautiful angel you are. You must know wherever you are how sorely you are missed. I love you as much today as I did when I was 5 yrs old. I will be 49 in 2 weeks. You were my first crush. I will never understand what you saw when you looked at yourself in the mirror . You were always gorgeous and filled with love. When I die I want to go to your little corner of heaven and stay there for eternity. Rest easy sweet angel

I would think this interview was done when Karen was getting ready to work on her solo record. When she was talking about the Bee Gees. I loved when she said Speriod !!! I love Karen so much.

What a doll Karen was. She always seems so genuine and a big heart. I always thought Karen should have been the “speaker” of the Carpenters. Richard always seemed kind of awkward and sometimes on the arrogant side. But all the Carpenters members excelled at what they did. Top notch. Karen of course gone way to soon. She still had so much to do in her career. And I know she would have been a star in everything........she already was. We saw her start out as a shy teenage girl, discovering her talent. Then we saw her blossom into a beautiful young lady whose star kept getting brighter and brighter. Karen deserved so much better than that creep who found her. I wished we could all just wrap our arms around her and make her feel better. At least we can have all these recordings of Karen and keep her in our hearts always. I think karen knows how much she is loved and missed now. 💜💜💜

I wish Karen followed her gut of growing as an artist. The buying public may not get it initially but if they're true fans, they will eventually get it just like what happened to the BeeGees
