- So this is a product that I invented over a year ago I saved this video even though this is a video released over a year ago.
when I made it I never titled it as Chevy Equinox but this is the Chevy Equinox Chevy Captiva Gmc Terrain rusted out Engine cradle. Obviously it’s going to talk about a Saturn Vue . But the product is pretty much identical, except I have done several improvements to them just to make them fit and form better …
I personally make them by hand here in my shop… specifically from your VIN number …. you can special order them from me. And nowhere else and if you do find somewhere else that selling them, they are infringing on my personal invention in order to do this . I will not even quote you without having your Vin number I will need your Vin number and your shipping. ZIP Code your Vin number is so I can make the brackets per your geometry because the different years and different brackets cost different amounts depending on how much supplies I have to use. To make them even better. But I can tell you in the year and a half that I’ve been producing every single one of the vehicles that I put back on the road with my brackets are still on the road!! Just read the comments on the video link you’ll know… 
I hand to make these brackets for several other makes and models like the Saturn Vue , Gmc Terrain and Chevy Captiva Pontiac torrent .. From 2002 to 2018 pretty much anything that has the GM Theta platform which includes a Suzuki model I can’t remember the name of..

I used one of these kits and it wasn't too bad to install. I know if I install another one I'll probably do it in about 8 hours.

And you’ll get better than that. But in all honesty, even here at my shop, it still takes us a day and a half to do them correctly. And that’s if I have the brackets already made. So I’m sure that you will get a little bit better, but just keep in mind it’s not a race it’s about Quality.

Question for ya: Have you ever made any rust repairs to an H or G-Body's rear spring perch? I'm talking 2000-2011 Bonnevilles, Lucernes, LeSabres, Devilles, DTSes, etc. The top of the spring perch collects road debris & salt and rots from the top down, leaving the top of the spring dangerously close to puncturing the gas tank. The perches themselves are available for purchase, however the frame rail they weld to also rots away, so there likely won't be any good metal to weld them onto. I know these vehicles aren't nearly as popular as the Thetas, but it might be another creation you could come up with. Something akin to a slip-on frame rail/upper spring perch combo that any shlub without a welder could easily bolt onto their hooptie to keep it out of the boneyard for several more years..
No I haven’t. Is that platform the same for all of them vehicles because maybe it would be worth it for me to make something the problem is like people don’t often fix them cars any longer even though the Bonneville, LeBarons, etc. etc. are exceptional when they have the 3.8 but not so much with the other Engine options… but I could definitely look into it or heck you’re skilled enough make some stuff up for it put it on your UA-cam channel… I don’t know if you’re aware of it because I haven’t really told anybody but I made $90,000 off of these brackets last year… and I only advertise on UA-cam.. plus I’m very fickle about collecting vin numbers, I won’t even give people prices without the Vin number.. because when I invented the Trailing Arm Bracket kits, I had these douche bags that tried ripping me off and then other douche bags. Try to tell me that they break when they weren’t even my kit just something that somebody thought they were copying…. Plus people were selling cars knowing that the trailing arms were bad and that the only place to get them was from me so I squashed that shit by collecting vin numbers so now when somebody gives me a vin number I know if somebody else asked for my brackets… I can tell that person that’s the second time that the other person knew that they were selling you junk… technically speaking before I came along anyway
@@sharpcarco Jesus H the balls on some people!! I wonder if it would be worth hiring a patent attorney and putting a patent on your invention?? You could sue the shit out of anyone trying to copy it!!
I've actually given consideration to try and make some sort of frame rail fix - it's a buddy of mine's Bonneville that's all rusted to shit in the back. It indeed has the 3800 with "only" 215k on it - plenty of life left!! My only hangup is my house's wiring. I only have 100 Amp service, and no place in the electrical panel to add a 240V 30 amp circuit. Wouldn't be an issue if I also didn't have an electric stove and dryer. I do have a 20 amp 120V circuit feeding the garage, so I COULD use a 120V welder, but I don't know that I'd trust that those welds would hold up!! Maybe pre-heating the metal with a MAPP gas torch beforehand would help? I dunno. I found a place that rents out a wire feed welder for $50 a day but they didn't say what voltage it runs at.
But you got me thinking about it now!! 🤔
I just redid the suspension on my 2000 SSEi. Definitely rusted up in there. The spring perch pads in the rear were bad bad. That was the only part I wasn't able to source. One deteriorated to nothingness. I pulled a less rotten one from my parts car. I plan on making replicas of them at some point. I actually have a brand new one that I never put in. The PO had one in upside down, so I bought it when I bought the car, but never put it in. I didn't put it in when I did the work after finding out they aren't available. Figured it will be handy for replication.
I didn't have to do any welding at the moment. I plan on getting a rust free body to build up. This one is more of the tester to get custom interior pieces and harnesses for mods and such made to be installed in an actual build. I am going to have to rebuild the battery tray before it falls through the floor though. I bet i could literally punch through it.

Hey Clay, have you gotten yourself a plasma cutter yet? Pretty easy to use and crazy cheap.
Actually, I did several months ago. And yeah, I started cutting out these about a year ago on the plasma table…. The other day I was looking up to see if anybody’s tried duplicating my brackets…. I was a little bit surprised to see that there was a guy who posted a video four months ago about fixing these. He did it way different than I did. His way was much more complicated than mine, and not even certain to work like mine.
Well, needless to say he had 69,000 views .. in four months and I was like how the hell is possible my brackets are way better than the way he did his and much easier to install….
So when I post up videos generally, I will post up four or five of the same exact videos, and that allows me to repost the same video in the future with a different title …. so I realized that I never posted this video with the Chevy Equinox title which was pretty much the title of his because this problem is much more serious on the Saturn Vue . I very rarely have people order Engine cradle brackets for Chevy Equinox and I figured it out why lol because my other video said Saturn Vue….. so it’s nice to have multiple of the same video so I don’t have to re-create the video….
And actually my new style brackets for these look a little bit different. Actually, they’re a lot better than the original version. And a lot simpler to install….. but you only find that out after you actually buy them and you see them in the private installation videos….

That’s not true. How are they gonna know? They’re not even going to be able to tell that it was replaced.
