That act 1 was a sea of possibilities. We saw: -fire breathing with attacks that add statuses -fiend fire with 2 battle trances -body slam with entrench -multiattacks with red skill limit break Might just take the seed from that run and play around.
This was legitimately the most informative STS video I've watched. Seeing someone else at the few hundred hour mark getting corrections on their thought process is immensely helpful. I have to say, though, the complete disinclination towards just doing some addition to determine lethal and/or relative value of plays was rough. In a game of educated guesses, anything you can figure out 100% is so valuable

shops have independent odds to fights to rare % chance, they scale on seeing shops. they also start at a slightly higher % chance. it's a really small point so frost's point is effectively sound

Minor tip that I'm surprised Frost didn't point out: using the Distilled Chaos just before ending the first turn against Hexaghost. Not only did we just put Blood for Blood on top of our Deck, but the Hexaghost is Vulnerable and it also lets us dig for Disarm.

Hey Andrew, would Frost be interested in playing STS in an Archipelago? It's a cross-world, cross-game randomizer in which all items across all games are shuffled around and redistributed randomly, so if one of the other games is Ocarina Of Time for example, that player might open a chest and find a card pack for STS, and the STS player could get a sword from an Elite fight. It's a cooperative endeavor in which every world tries to achieve their goal (so finishing a run or beating the Heart in STS, and defeating Ganon in OOT), it's very chaotic, and pretty fun

Ive run archipelago runs a lot and they're always great. Slay the spire is a fairly simple one because it's a seeded run and you always start with your items. It's a bit more simple than the various other games on the service. risk of rain 2 is one too.
That's a question you'll have more luck asking him. I love Archipelago and have played a few with a friend with Kingdom Hearts 2 (and they're working on DK64!) I don't know how it works exactly with a game like Slay the Spire Genuinely though, if you're interested, I'd recommend asking him on Discord or during his stream -Andrew
StS noob here. I've really been enjoying and learning from your poggy teach videos, but THIS one's the best. When you're alone, you go through some decisions - choosing cards & relics, which card to play when, etc. - so damn quick, and I often don't understand why you chose what you did. I just completed my first run after watching this video. It helped me so much to understand the reasoning behind card picks and path choosing. That was probably what I missed the first time i gave the game a chance and couldn't understand it. Exeptionally instructful video

I got this game a couple days ago, and I've only played the game for about an hour so far, and while this video was somewhat informative, it also made the game seem more like a job than a form of entertainment. I can already tell that if I play it again, I'm going to be second guessing everything I do.

Bro embarrassing me in the first minute saying man got to ascension 20 in 400 hours... I have not tried in a long time but I had been hard stuck on A17 for so long that I got bored. I have about 500~ hours across PC and Mobile. This was an amazing collab though, and I hope you guys do more together in the future!
Well. I was hard stuck with ironclad at ascencion 6. Couldn't get a solid run for ages. And after these two videos i am now at A12 with ironclad. Almost killed the heart at A11. Thank you frost. Great teacher. 😊
People need to realize that technically 1 HP is all you need in any game. Every point above that is a resource. What matters is how are you using it. A good way I like to think of it is in every game you only have 1 true hp, the rest of it being armor that can be regenerated in varius ways.
