really nice rainbow perch, nice cabezon too. here's a secret where you were fishing right in front of you, if you put on huge piece of squid with no weight and lay it down right in front of you maybe 10 ft out in those holes, you will catch cabezon all day, you dont need to cast way out there and lose gear, promise they are sitting rite next to shore in little holes big cabbies, try it sometime. also i use sand bags much cheaper than expensive weights. good luck. oh yea, look for the deepest dark hole, because the squid is white, you can sometime see the squid disappear into the cabbies mouth and hook it before he can get back into the rocks,, once you get a cabbie in a certain hole try new hole because cabbie are territorial and wont let another cabbie into his hole, you will have to fish that hole another two days till new cabbie takes over hole :) and just want to let you know, i lived on the coast of mendocino 60mi north of bodega bay on highway 1 and caught tons of cabbies that way, so i know what i'm talking about.
Thanks for revealing your spot. Only .1% of your viewers can climb and descend to that spot, so you don't have to worry about people catching fish there. Plus, you have extraordinary skills and finesse. The rest of us aspire to your level, bro. Keep up the good work!
Unless you’re bringing the entire kitchen sink that spot is very accessible even for non fishermen. So uh yeah now I know why its a lot harder to catch fish nowadays there but it isnt private property and anyone can fish it.
Although some are saying it’s easy to get there, there are some alcoves along the coast that are not. If you do plan to have food , chargers etc. the best ones are the ones it’s hard to get down into.
WTG the video editing was nice short and easy to hear. Fish combo was a bonus and safety returned back to land from dangerous grounds. This area is very dangerous caution to all and be safe out there have fun. Good job mission Accomplished 😎👍
I know this spot well. It's all the way to the "left." I've hiked here to scope it out, but it looked incredibly snaggy. I've caught perch and a handful of diaper stripers on the beach, but I've found lately there has been too much seaweed. I will try both areas for crab soon. TIGHT LINES!
Old man say "I remember my spots when I was young". Best spots always hard to reach. Young mans game. Travel light. This spot maybe gone 10 to 20 years from erosion.
Are you using a high low rig? What size hooks and bait work best ? Great video ! Not sure if I can get into your fishing spot without a shirpa and a goat though. 😃
the perch looked pregnant, careful with those because each one of the perch babies counts against your perch limit and you could be easily over limit if DFG checks

Good job, those fishes are big! My friend and I went to Rockaway to catch stripers, we end up catching surfers.😂

Well done!
Nice rockcod. !

People use what’s called a Pacifica pier rig for striped bass on the pier. Size one circle hooks with live baits, anchovy , shiners, kingfish
what do you think is a good rockfishing rod length and lure rating ?
What setup and bait were you using.
How much weight are you using there?
Fish a dropshot lightning shad. Slag them easy.
How long is your fishing pole? It looks like it can help keep the fish up out of snags
That one is a 14 feet
That rock fish cost like $60 at ranch 99 lol and you got it for free lol
Maybe cost more 🤭
What reel is that and what's the gear ratio? It seems like you reel for a long time while bringing in your catches.
I have no ideas about the gear ratio, I just know those fish was coming from a football field and a half of distance,..,
What line did you use?
How do do you cook the fish .is it different then other people or same . please show us how you cook the fish
You're amazing. Where did you park?
Usually they park next to the hotel
How do you keep from snagging?
What is the rod and reel you are using?
Penn rampage rod and Daiwa crosscast 4000 reel
Are you friends with my hairstylist Eason? He uses a similar setup and same spot 😂
He is too busy to go fishing with me 😁
@@rockfishfishing 😂 I’ll remind him to fish more with you the next time I see him 💇🏻♀️

That’s very true, it was a fat one not pregnant… 👍
It does not count towards the limit if the fish did not give birth while in his possession.
What did you use for bait??
Shrimp
this spot is not that productive anymore, used to be my favorite spot.
Where is this spot
Where in pacifica is that I went up and down the coast today and haven’t caught anything I just moved up here I’m trying to learn the area
I have a bout and know in that area one can't fish. Maybe is different from the shore?
