honestly reminds me of Shinobi Shadow. Shinobi’s stock combo is by no means bad, most people are just bad at using it, they expect it to tank head on attacks when in reality, you’re supposed to aim for dodges and parrys, which it does pretty well.
this is so true! Shadow isn't phenomenal but it has a commitment to taking glancing blows instead of head on attacks. I wish more people acknowledged that X's design implies a lot of movement and launch technique.
Nah shinobi’s stock absolutely is bad. MN just doesn’t let it do its job properly and 1-80 can lose it many rounds by spin bcuz of scraping and smacking the opponent causing spin loss. A better combo would be 9-80U as 80 height is best for shadow to take less recoil and Unite has good evasive movement and good stamina. Unite’s main weakness of toppling easily is also negated due to shinobi’s light weight making it easier for Unite to stand back up.
My favorite combo is 9-60 GearFlat, it like CRASHES into the opponents bey at FULL FORCE, but you need to be skilled at aiming and have a strong launch, fits me
I use 4-60GF on mine, it's actually super useful and has some unique interactions with smooth and heavy enemies. The blunt impact actually causes some bursts! I just go yolo for max speed, if my attacks fail, I fail 😂 Never gets old. Glad other share this niche taste.
I just got knife shinobi in the set with keel shark and the weird shark combo they put in there happens to have all the pieces needed to try out your combo. I am determined to make shinobi work and this might be the combo to do it!
With the battles i did with Rhino Horn (Horn Rhino exactly - Hasbro), i came to the conclusion that this Bey is actually pretty good in tanking hits, the attacker will mostly take more damage from attacking rhino horn than Rhino Horn will and spin like nothing happened
I've been trying it on 5-80 taper and having a lot of fun with it, but now I'm wondering how well either my combo or yours could work with Shinobi Knife for the sake of color matching parts. Since, you know, the best rhino horn color is currently TT only.
So I do have the parts and decided to put it up against wizard rod, since its kind of a problem in the tournaments that allow TT. Here's how it went against stock WR. R1-WR 1 pt. R2-WR 1 pt. R3 Rhino 2pt corner. R4-WR 1 pt. R5-WR 1 pt. R6-Rhino 2pt burst. R7-WR 1 pt. R8-WR 1 pt. R9-WR 1 pt. R10 both knocked each other out. so Wizard Rod 5-70DB -7 points & Rhino 3-80F -4 points scored in 10 rounds. I was liking the combo but WR is just too good so I through in gear point on rhino and was getting really good results actually. R1-Rhino 3pt Xfinish. R2-WR 1pt. R3-Rhino 2pt burst. R4-WR 1pt. R5-Rhino 2pt corner. R6-Rhino 1pt. R7-WR 1pt. R8-Rhino 2pt burst. R9-Rhino 3pt xfinish. R10-Rhino burst. So Wizard Rod 5-70DB 3 points & 15 points Rhino 3-80GF in 10 rounds. Gear point was knocking itself into the corner pockets every so often, so I'd like to run it with is point but I don't have that in my collections. @@Frankie1622 it could potentially but my thought process was 3-80 lines up a bit better with the main contact points on rhinos blades. I’ll test 4-80 though
Tbh 3-80 really isn’t too good for rhino bcuz it doesn’t synergise and rhino sucks at protecting the ratchet. A better pick would be 1-60 because it lines up perfectly with one of the protrusions to add to attack power, is hard to burst, and has an increased chance to revive from the pocket.
Yeah wow, its too bad this bey is so light. If it was heavier and the bumps were a bit less pronounced (kinda like how KS or US with its contacts) those contacts work for deflecting attacks, but the steeper you get, the more that deflection just becomes a ramp like attack. It having certralized weight actually helps give it that initially boost of spin power, as the more centrallized the weight, the easier it is to get spinning fast. Central weight helps keep a beyblade stable actually. Because the weight is so centered and not on the outside rim, when it tilts, it doesnt lean into that weight as much since its still more heavy in the center. Like how much easier is it to hold weights close to you compared to holding your arms out. Outward weight creates the flywheel effect, which gives it stability in the fact its longevity gradient is less steep. It loses spin a lot slower, so it has more time to adjust to the difference in velocity. If knocked off balanced and hit though, it will be noticeably less stable, even if its still spinning well. Or more accurately, its a lot easier to knock it off balanced, since it leans into its tilt a lot more. I guess you can think of it like a seesaw, its really easy to lift the other person cuz of the weight being so far on the edges. It almost feels like moon gravity, so you can tell beyblades use gravity tricks to cause destabilization to occurs if you wanna sound like a nerd. Also, quick note: "burst priority" to my knowledge is a rule, but it was made a rule more becuase thats just how physics works. If two beys clash, and one bursts while the other one goes in the pocket. No matter what, since the burst happens on contact (as that contact is the thing that bursts the bey) and the KO happens a little after, the burst will *always* happen before. Theres always gonna be some travel time after the hit, so looking at a burst finish slowly: The beys clash The bey hits its rachet on the opponent as it comes in for an attack, and the rachet turns The bey that was being attacked gets sent flying The bey lands in the pocket. The burst as you can see is going to always happen first, so that is why its a rule. Hope this helps clear things up! I really liked the video! It goes to show how truely unique X really is, and honestly, i really like 4-80 R on RH, the 4 lines up perfectly with its shape, and rush makes up for some of its bad stamina, while helping to control and utilize that insane boost of RPMs that it gets off the launcher. PW doesnt really have central weight, but it doesnt have outward weight either, and its pretty compact and filled out, whereas most other things are hollowed a bit, giving an edge of metal on the outside rim of most beys. That slight outward hollowing ends up biasing the general shape towards outward weight based ones, so PW being kinda compact actually makes it centered by comparison. Unicorn is a great example of that outward hollowing, look at how much weight is packed around, its another reason why its stamina is so good.
@@bladekidWBO About the weight part of your comment, I agree I’d like rhino to weigh more to really ramp up its RPM potential further, however there’s another comment on this video talking about how one blader in the commenters local circuit uses RhinoHorn because it’s so light. He’s a bigger individual and if he launched full power on an attack combo it would self KO from its mass pushing to hard. But because rhino is so light he can launch it to his fullest capabilities of RPM and not risk the beys own mass making it self KO. I find it to be such an interesting concept because Ive seen it happen the entirety of my time in this community. Bladers (like myself) who are bigger bulkier guys sometimes girls, are able to use a small compact, and light weight beys so well that they dominate the competition. No matter what, since the burst happens on contact (as that contact is the thing that bursts the bey) and the KO happens a little after, the burst will *always* happen before.
Theres always gonna be some travel time after the hit, so looking at a burst finish slowly:
The beys clash
The bey hits its rachet on the opponent as it comes in for an attack, and the rachet turns
The bey that was being attacked gets sent flying
The bey lands in the pocket.
It’s just such a fascinating concept isn’t it? I’m going to be applying this to my new custom bey
@@EnderXGamingHQ oh wow, that's really neat! It's cool to see people using them like that! I'd honestly hope we get a more defensive compact in the future, but I've always liked them! I used compacts in burst actually, and in plastics they were a really neat type!
@@bladekidWBO I completely agree! They’re always so much more fun than giant (fat) beys 🤣, thanks for commenting it’s nice seeing more in-depth comments!!!
@@EnderXGamingHQ hey! That's me, I'm the in depth comment guy haha! It just brings me a lot of joy to use my knowledge and experience to help other bladers! I'm glad you enjoyed reading it!
