- The latest Gears 6 news is that a teaser from The Coalition has been getting a bit more traction as the Verge and Grubb have teased an upcoming announcement. Colin Penty deleteed a tweet that got many people hyped for Gears of War 6 news because he is the Technical Director of The Coalition. It could be nothing, but any Xbox news today about the Gears franchise would be welcome. In addition, Halo Infinite got some love on social media that left some to wonder whether or not we have something coming for both Halo Gears of War and whatever else is happening this summer.

Gears is the game that made me an Xbox fan. It’s the first game I ever thought looked next Gen. When I saw the visuals, I thought to myself, we’re in a new graphical age.
It was truly a masterpiece and ahead of its time.

Coalition has been using this time to master the engine.

There is a studio being formed by Coalition employees whose sole purpose is teaching other Xbox studios how to fully utilize the UE5. 343i (now on UE5) is probably most definitely going to be one of those studios that will benefit from this.

Can't wait. Story aside, the setpieces have always delivered for me.
Gears 6 should be gritty, scary, and full of gore. Make me feel the horror and the violence. No more cartoon silly stuff. Reboot the whole series like God Of War 2018.

I just started the Halo Infinite campaign two days ago. I wasn't expecting to like it so much. The game looks a bit flat in my opinion. There's something odd about the lighting because the textures and resolution are there. After I looked past that, I've been enjoying the game.
I can't wait to play. I love the franchise. Hivebusters was such a good DLC.
I want a dark Gritty Gears of War game not the game we got with Gears 5.
Hopefully the campaign is a bit longer this time. Gears 4 and 5 can be beat in 8-10 hours.

Pachters 200mil GamePass prediction is ambitious for sure but if you listen to his entire analysis on that which admittedly is hard to do as it spans at least 6 Pachter Factor episodes he starts woth parsing all the data over a trending 10 year period and then goes on to predict the next 10 years ending in 2037 and he isn't talking console market only he's was talking about future markets and storefronts that don't exist and he even said that's if the regulations go that way so maybe never

I bought XsX for the power to play @ 60fps-120fps almost every competitive/esport/shooter/racer... via performance mode, I get 1440p-4K @ 60fps-120fps on my PC every thing;
this was what Ps5 and Xbox XIS was supposed to be for me.
Next-gen console better perform between 3070-5070 super w/5800x3d-7800x3d just saying. No game should be below these numbers minimum I posed, dont have to be top end ,but better be in ballpark close mixed-up settings wise.
Somebody says what about series X|S?... I say, smart delivery and scalability play anywhere they capable, they just keep getting utilized for graphics first not 60fps.

I was a big fan because of 1 2 & 3. If 6 is going to be like 4 & 5 I'm going to skip 6. The first three had satisfying conclusions. The last two had none. Gameplay wise it was novel when it was new. Today those mechanics are dated, and especially the animation. The graphics look great when they are not moving. But as soon as they start moving the number of moves they have I can count on one hand. That kills the realism. UE5 has a new tool for animation. They need to use it instead of sticking to tradition.

Xbox messaging has become muddled because of the ports. They did not want to cause a panic and **surprise** they caused a panic. Ports beget questions about what will be ported next. Xbox can't explain the rationale to port to PS5 because there is no set criteria that disqualifies titles from ever being candidates.

I've been saying for years as soon as all these ue5 games start dropping both ps5 and xsx are going back to 30fps... do you expect cutting edge games in 2024 to run at 60fps on hardware from 2018?... and have you seen the performance modes lately?... everyone recommended ff16 and ff7 rebirth at 30 because the performance modes were basically unplayable and dragon's dogma 2 is topped out at about 17fps on ps5 and xbox with an uncapped framerate

In my opinion, the last good Gears was original Gears of War and its continuation Gears of War 2, the remaining games were technically top notch, especially the last two, but from the narrative experience it was a stupid and silly shit fest. In the last game you play as a "nice/pretty" woman, even destroying robots and meeting a bunch of weird-looking characters. Not everything is about the graphics, Gears of War once had a brilliant macho style with a horror elements, thats why it was so good in the first place.
I'm mildly excited for Gears 6. I liked the 5th one more than the incredibly disappointing 4th, and I'm interested to see where they go with it after that ending where I'm sure literally everyone on earth chose to sacrifice JD because he sucks.
What I *really* want to see is Gear Tactics 2 though. Gimme gimme.

Gears recently has been more interesting in the story than the characters. Unraveling the story of the locust, Reyna and so on is pretty interesting. However the new characters are pretty bland even tho 5 stepped it up. They just don’t compare to Delta

Will everyone stop with this nonsense? People have been talking about gears 6 for so long now its came out as nothing everytime. They abandoned gears 5- there's not even a ranked mode, no season updates, 2 of the 3 competitive game modes have died. The only thing that happens every season is your seasonal stats reset and you have the opportunity to get more gold quicker. They didn't even leave gears in a state where people can enjoy it its the only serious game without any ranked system. Paladins is a small community too but at least you can play it to get better and rank up like any other game

Saying this respectfully...you're only seeing half of the full picture. Which is more than most ppl see in all fairness. The half you accurately see is the half where TC is unashamedly progressive & openly embrace being woke. So yes, 6 will likely be woke. JD will be the cannon death as he is the straight white male in the scenario. Del will live on to check DEI boxes. You can almost question if Dels name is Del bc it almost looks exactly the same as the letters DEI. (It was YEARS ago & forgive me but I don't remember her name, but there was a Coalition member that did an interview on IGN talking about Gears lore & how they could use other medias to tell more stories within Sera...of which she straight up said they had more to say with Del. So...yeah. )
Also Liam Mcintyre, the voice actor for JD as recent as last year was on the record saying that he still hadn't been contacted at all to reprise his role. & the game was likely years into development by then. So again...yeah. Strike 2.
The half you're NOT seeing is the other side. The paid actors making the rounds within fanbase by using their platforms on socials to virtue signal & champion all these practices NONE of us ever asked for &/or wanted in our escapisms. Most I can say is make a note of who they are when you see them. & simply ignore them.
