    Hi Chris, I would love to hear your thoughts on hair care for postmenopausal women who are growing out their ashy blond to natural hair with lots of silver lights. The grey is much coarser than my natural fine hair texture. I only wash 1x per week but find it much drier than it use to be. Would love to hear about hair care for us older individuals who want to embrace out natural hair and keep it looking great. Love your chanel and all the information you provide :)

    None of these sound like my hair sadly. I have some very fine blonder strands and some pretty coarse darker strands. It’s messy wavy and extremely frizzy if I air dry and very poofy/frizzy after washing, but smooths out after sleeping on it. Gets frizzy with the slightest bit of humidity and gets oily on the 3rd day.

    Also from one creative to another:
    a tip for your thumbnails, use hair as the background, for example, this video's thumbnails would look awesome with a 3 panel picture , one panel for each hair type and a question mark to ask what's your hair type? And then you can have a white outline around the edge of the silhouette of a pic of you thinking in the corner maybe with your finger on your chin thinking and a raised eyebrow

    Hi Chris. I had a few questions about the test. So I tried it out because I've been told so many different things by stylists and I'm not really sure I took the test correctly.
    When I took the test, it said I had medium hair. But I've been told I have thick and coarse hair by some stylist, and then others have told me it was fine hair because it was dry and brittle at the mid to the end. Does our hair type change as we get older, give or take the products we're using? Or should our hair type remain the same throughout our life?

    Hi Chris, I have enjoy your videos. However, I have a challenging question regarding what hair care in my situation. I am 61 yo female, swim 3-5x/wk, work full time so I have to wash and go from the pool. My hair is long (below my bra strap), greying, wavy, porous, medium hair type. I have to wash it after I swim. I do not use heat on my hair. Leave-in hair conditioner most days, oil well on wet hair before I swim. Additional oil on my ends during week. Use mask weekly and Olaplex 3 weekly. I use drug store shampoo, Suave daily clarifying mixed with non-clarifying shampoo. If I don't swim, I can easily go 5-7 days between washing but because I swim, I shampoo much more often. Want to encourage my waves/curls as much as possible. What are your thoughts?

      Hey! Sure thing. You're all set for s&c and leave in conditioner. Moroccanoil is a brand for coarse dry hair. So I would generally stay away from their products with fine oily hair. • @yuuri9064
      @yuuri9064 Рік тому +1

      @@oordopjee Just my guess from what I've heard others say:
      The shape of the hair strands are different, flatter than the cylindrical shape of straighter hair. Curlier hair is often much more porous, too - it can get very dry and delicate. Scalp is pretty dry as well. I've often heard of folks doing "co-washing" which uses conditioner to wash the scalp because of this. No brushing, it'll make it frizzy.
      Basically, the usual advice is less likely to be effective with this kind of hair. It needs methods tailored to very curly or coiled hair, not straighter hair. Again, this just my guess!
