Hello I live in Alabama and had a question I am a teenager and I have a step family my step sister is mostly watched by the aunt and grandma they have been the main provider for all her life my step dad is a bad dad he wasnt ever meant to be a father but if they have proof that they are her main provider do they have a case to win a custody battle since they have been her main provider since she was born they pick her up from school pay for her school she lives with them most of the time on her moms days and her dads days this man is kinda of neglectful and is not a good parent he has mental issues as well and I get he is trying I’m just worried about her because my mom and I want to move out of this place as soon as possible but I want her to live with her grandparents not with him because he has complete legal custody over her but he can’t even do the thing his mom does for him

The kids were taken by CPS away from my son and his wife. about 1 month ago and they were placed with my daughter but it got to hard for her because they already have 5 kids . Long story short my grandkids are in a strangers home since about a week ago. My grand daughter is 5 yrs old so she understands a little more when you tell her it’s temporary but my 2 yr old grandson has got to be devastated, he’s so close to me . Is there a way I can please talk with you to ask questions? I’m just so sad for them. I have to at least try. Thank you
This almost sounds like my case I'm going in background check my home inspection passed. I have two DWIs 24 yrs ago and 15 yrs ago. My life has changed through three deaths in my life I've been sober for a long time productive person. By looking at these comments it doesn't seem like she will answer anyone's comments! Sad
What happens if mom and dad no shows in court mentally and physically abuse drugs and the child is in foster care but the grandmother has been fighting for cusody
doesn't seem like this lady will answer anyone! For me I think the parents will lose their parental rights if they continue this lifestyle NB adopted out. I think that Grandma has a chance to pursue adoption because they look for next of kin first but she will have to go a fingerprint background check, pass home inspection, and pray for the best outcome. I'm going through this process right now.
