Vinny Vincent and Paul Stanley would be easy to recognize without their makeup, it wasn't that big. Paul Stanley even said once in an interview that he use to get recognized all the time without his makeup back in the 1970's.
Even in an era that produced a bunch of shred guitarists, Vinnie was over the top. I think he's flogging his association with KISS because frankly it was his finest hour as far as commercial success went. If he'd toned things down and maybe followed the career path of a Marty Friedman (joining an already-established band as it was on the rise) or a Paul Gilbert (adopting a more commercial sound) he might not have to keep reminding people he was the last KISS member to join during the makeup years. And as someone else noted, the fact that Gene and Paul aren't charging people to join their Facebook groups should tell him something.
Paul Stanley said "Vinnie sold a guitar that he claimed was his favorite, but never played it and sold it for more than it was worth in the store." Beware! Paul is on youtube claiming this. Now, I don't know Vinnie Vincent so I'm not passing judgement on him, just stating what I say and heard coming from Paul Stanley.
The he/she is f**in' _CERTIFIABLE._ (No question that he made KISS a bona fide _METAL_ band though.) Getting to hear the old original songs played at such an intensity is mind blowing. I would hardly be surprised that if they released another KISS: Off the Soundboard from say Montreal or Toronto 83', it would outsell the rest of the soundboard series no prob.
There are a LOT of Kiss fans that basically gotta have it all, as long as it is related to Kiss. Like, Kiss itself is a hobby, even a way of life to them. Naturally, among them are also people who don't have a problem putting five figures into Kiss per year, like those who have attended all the Kruises, etc. If you make a lot of money and your #1 hobby is a band with more merchandise and collectibles out there than any other, I guess it makes sense. Vinnie's just exploiting the fact that these people exist, and that he was a part of two important Kiss albums. There are also a lot of Kiss fanatics that aren't very bright, as there would be with any group that large. I think some still think Vinnie is actually going to give them their box set, paid in full 30 years ago or whatever. There's no helping those people.
Appreciate your take on this. I bought the Vinnie Vincent Invasion LP back in the late 1980s, and was impressed by the fusion of hard rock, metal, and a little bit of off-center funk. I actually think he's deserved a little more credit than he's gotten over the years, but I have to admit that he's unfairly used KISS to float his image, for better or worse.

Vinnie Vincent has lost his mind. The guy wants money for doing nothing. He's a washed up rock star who thinks he us owed. Meanwhile there's struggling musicians like us who can't get anywhere. He hasn't released anything and hasn't toured. Last video I seen of him, he couldn't even play his guitar to basic Kiss songs he played in the early 80's. He stood there grinning. No shredding or nothing.
My understanding is that Paul Stanley also buys cheap guitars for hundreds of dollars, smashes & autographs them & then sells them for thousands on his OWN website! Paul & Gene have been no saints by comparison. I've read that Peter Criss was to have been the drummer at Creatures Fest with Bruce, Vinnie & Ace--but didn't play because he felt the drum rider was too close to the ceiling. Clearly, all's not right in the Vinnie camp either--but it strikes me as odd when people point all this stuff out about him & yet have little problem with anything that Gene & Paul have been doing for several years now--and that's been a litany of things, too.
I agree that a lot of people who make it become somewhat outta touch with some of these marketing ideas. It would have really been cool to see Peter play. I'm all for keeping the fire alive that these legends have lit, but there has to be a better way
VV is a guy that obviously has some personal issues that he has never been able to over come, which is a shame because he helped KISS step out of the 1970's era and into the SHRED era when EVH ruled the earth. If someone is a super fan, I get it. But I think VV is just hoping for one sale every few months to keep the lights on
GUYS! I just purchased Vinnie's un-laundered socks for 60 grand! I feel like I got a steal of a deal. The envelope they were packaged in - that he may have touched - must be worth 1k alone! Damn I scored big. You guys missed out..........OK now back to reality, sorry guys, I did some bad drugs.
I wonder if anyone who purchased the infamous boxed set (late 90s/early 2000s) ever got their refund - it was still be discussed by fans and promised by Vinnie just a few years ago.
@@markusaurelius777 I knew when he said it that he had no intention of giving anyone 2 box sets. Anyone who's done a little research on him could've predicted he wouldn't keep his word.
I also agree. I would find it more interesting if he did something by himself going over the solo sections of songs fans love. I get it if he wants to be on stage again, that's a given. But some better marketing plans would be a gift
I think that hardcore KISS fans will patronize any vestige of KISS they possibly can, and that may mean buying Vinnie Vincent stuff. VV is probably using this to his advantage.
Vinnie has about 6-10 diehard fans. I loved his playing and thought he had the stuff to be Ace's forever replacement in KISS but my dear Lord, he/she went off the deep end.
I very much enjoyed your take on this. I first saw KISS in I believe it was 1975 here in Las Vegas and was hooked. But you sir, are well on your way to being someone others look to. All the best.
@@youthamongus I am a music lover down to my soul. Seeing that first KISS concert was sensory stunningly amazing. But I had seen a different concert not long before that show that still stands out in my mind as outside of the birth of my children and grand children, was not only seeing Elvis on my birthday, but I got to go backstage and he sang happy birthday to a girl and I. Being born and raised here, the Rat Pack and Elvis are in our food and water . Hahaha
Look deeper... Vinnie ....when he was normal...and before he became a woman... Was a masterful song writer. Very Melodic and catchy everytime he composed something. Look up any of his songs he wrote and co wrote on Creatures of the Night or Lick It Up... Or one of his best solo songs That Time of Year. Thats the Vinnie I remember.
lol Yeah he's right up there. Whenever I think of Gilmour, Clapton, Gibbons, etc...my mind instantly goes to Vincent and that epic, incredible amazing, timeless tune; Lick it Up.
Nobody would know Vinnie's name today if he hadn't been invited into the band "KISS" He would probably be living alone in his car selling used guitar strings or busking on street corners for spare change.
While i agree on the FB thing and the fact that he is Delusional , I'm going to completely disagree on the price you found. there are different versions of that guitar. the version He is supposedly selling is Custom made in the U.S.A and starts around 6 grand the other versions made outside the united states yeah they go for as little as 400.00 U.S.. So he has a deal with them and gets what about 500 off then he signs it. this is why it says between 5,500-8,500. different pickups yada yada.
I'm 100% certain Vinnie isn't holding a gun to anyone's head to buy into his stuff...I believe PT Barnum said and I quote "A fool and his money are lucky enough to get together in the first place"
Vinnie screwed people the last time he came out and tried to sell something. Buyer beware. I did liked VVI's first album, but I saw some footage from the incident a couple years ago, and he did not look like the shredder he once was. He looked like he hadn't picked up his guitar in years. He could have just been nervous, but he just looked out of practice. I don't even think he took the solo, and it was Lick it Up, which shouldn't be the toughest song for someone who wrote it.
❤Hi, I'm Trish Moon and I am the owner of Vinnie Vincent New Euphoria for Free. I would like to thank you for mentioned my group. I am a Brazilian fan who was tretead like a garbage bcs of Vinnie for 2 years in other groups and he himself using his fake account Paul Runner. Asked me a permission to use one of my paintings as an album cover and promised to sent me some gifts but he simply blocked me after that and until this day I think that he simply used me.
vinnie's smart. he knows a lot of kiss fans love collecting all things kiss. i worked with a kiss fan a long time ago. i had these small diecast kiss cars i was going to throw out. i sold them to this guy for $20 each. Now they're on eBay for hundreds each. ya, kiss fans are funny and weird
Whenever I see a musician, especially a formerly respectable one, offering what appears to be substandard product - and people are obviously still buying it - my reaction is the same as Max Cherry from the movie Jackie Brown: "Whatever you're into, you seem to be getting away with it, so more power to you."
As a guitar player, he used to be absolutely amazing; he had technique, precision, rhythm control, cleanliness and phrasing (when he wanted to be tasteful) out of this world. For the rest, I tend to separate the musician from the individual. Sometimes I can, just like in the case of Vinnie Vincent, sometimes I can't.
Peace be to you, Everyone thinks Vinnie played parts Steve Farris played on Creatures of the night. Vinnie is a poor player. Bob Kulick and Robin Ford played on the same record brilliantly. The record was an example of misuse of the language in Heaven...Music. After kiss Vinnie transitioned to another band and transitions to this day. A poverty of poverties. "Do you know my friend Thomas?" Jesus sent me to inquire of thee.
I met Vinnie once...he has a river of coke snot running from his nose down his chin, he had shit himself and they were slowing down the music for him to solo over..so when it was sped back up it'd make him sound like he could play fast.. Great 1st impression!! Class act.
(no offense) it is great to see the younger generation talking about rock and taking it seriously! Keep it up! Subscribing to see what else you come out with... Signed an old rocker dude :) PS - my brother-in-law used to jam with Vinny a bit when they were kids, sounds like he was an okay person - just got all mixed up somewhere along the line.
I like Vinnie Vincent Invasion, but not enough to pay prices like these. Up to $8,500 for an autographed guitar?! Even a Gibson Les Paul autographed by Slash wouldn't sell for that much!
I would buy one of those Jackson's if he signed it 'Vinnie Barbarino'.

Too good man 😂😂
@@youthamongus thanks man
They stink.
Dude, you rock \m/ great job bringing this to our attention
Thank you so much ⚡️⚡️
Money is needed so Vinnie can become Valorie. Yikes.
We all need some money
Who would even think about paying this for him??? And $500 for a concert???
Its beyond absurd
I wonder if anyone who purchased the infamous boxed set (late 90s/early 2000s) ever got their refund - it was still be discussed by fans and promised by Vinnie just a few years ago.
Nope. He ripped a lot of ppl off.
@@markusaurelius777 I knew when he said it that he had no intention of giving anyone 2 box sets. Anyone who's done a little research on him could've predicted he wouldn't keep his word.
This is hilarious 😂 "80's Shred Bozo" 🤣🤣🤣 pretty much sums it up.
Im a serious guitarist of 39 years and you cant say those Jacksons are the $600 ones. They make like 12 different RR V guitars.
Vinny was smart enough to not sign his rights away in Kiss, my opinion is he can play scales very fast but does not have a goal.
I also agree. I would find it more interesting if he did something by himself going over the solo sections of songs fans love. I get it if he wants to be on stage again, that's a given. But some better marketing plans would be a gift
@@youthamongus He is a joke , what did he do ? Co wrote Lick it Up forty years ago....lol
I think that hardcore KISS fans will patronize any vestige of KISS they possibly can, and that may mean buying Vinnie Vincent stuff. VV is probably using this to his advantage.
You're right, I can't totally blame VV here
Vinnie has about 6-10 diehard fans. I loved his playing and thought he had the stuff to be Ace's forever replacement in KISS but my dear Lord, he/she went off the deep end.
I don't think they can ever really "replace" ace
Congratulations on your success with this video. Good luck with your future and hope you get more subscriber's
Thank you so much
I very much enjoyed your take on this. I first saw KISS in I believe it was 1975 here in Las Vegas and was hooked. But you sir, are well on your way to being someone others look to. All the best.
Thank you so much man. Sounds like you saw one hell of a concert too!
Hahaha
after kiss hired that guy , i was done with them. my first kiss show was at age 13 in 1977.
VV says he doesn’t use social media. Never have never will. He himself said. If you see him online its not him.
Well thats cus he goes by paul runner online
Vinnie owes me money from 1996.
Get this man his MONEY
I want my box set too ...2 as promised!!!
There are some great moments that he has had, can't take that away
nobody cares what you remember
2:41-2:47- 😂 that was terrible😂😂😂😂.
Was pretty rough
@@youthamongus Not melodic at all.😂
He may be out there on his thinking but Vinnie could shred the guitar. You can't take that from him.
Good point, he does have that
He's one insane money hungry person.
Hard to watch, but worth talking about
He learned well from Gene, lol
Good value, greatest guitarist since Clapton, VV never should have wasted his time in KISS.
That's an interesting take! Thanks for watching
lol Yeah he's right up there. Whenever I think of Gilmour, Clapton, Gibbons, etc...my mind instantly goes to Vincent and that epic, incredible amazing, timeless tune; Lick it Up.
Nobody would know Vinnie's name today if he hadn't been invited into the band "KISS"
He would probably be living alone in his car selling used guitar strings or busking on street corners for spare change.
I think we knew that already. Vinnie is Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs!
Absolutely hahahahah🤣🤣🫡
Wow, even Yngwie has a band. I would bet that he has not sold one item in his store. Very interesting video
Thank you
While i agree on the FB thing and the fact that he is Delusional , I'm going to completely disagree on the price you found. there are different versions of that guitar. the version He is supposedly selling is Custom made in the U.S.A and starts around 6 grand the other versions made outside the united states yeah they go for as little as 400.00 U.S..
So you endorse ripping off your fans?
Have you read about or know the history of con job Cusano?
I think Vinny has lost his mind
Just now?
She might be nuts!
Might have?
What’s the problem? I’d definitely pay $5 for a Vinnie Vincent concert.
So the guy is fucking insane, these days that's normaI..........
Good point!!
This young man knows his stuff.
Lmfao
Seriously, you should have a separate channel that rips rock clowns and the industry. I would sub in a heartbeat, and I think it would take off. 😉
Thank you
Vinnie vicent is like Donald Trump he inflate his assets.
Yeah, Mar a Lago is only worth $18 million. Get a clue you 🤡.
Solid point, thank you
Didn't Rick Derringer play the solo on "Lick It Up" on the album?
❤Hi, I'm Trish Moon and I am the owner of Vinnie Vincent New Euphoria for Free. I would like to thank you for mentioned my group. I am a Brazilian fan who was tretead like a garbage bcs of Vinnie for 2 years in other groups and he himself using his fake account Paul Runner. Asked me a permission to use one of my paintings as an album cover and promised to sent me some gifts but he simply blocked me after that and until this day I think that he simply used me.
I'm very sorry to hear about your loss
@@youthamongus u r so kind ♡
Wow I've heard lots of horror stories over the years where Vinnie uses people then dumps them.
Sorry to hear that happened to you
~NBS🦂
Gotta pay for his sex change somehow
Wow. This dude showed what he looked like a the beginning of the video. Imagine caring what this dude says about anything.
Thanks for watching
☆ KISS ☆ is ☆ KISS ☆
🌟 POP CULTURE 🌟
☆FANS☆ = ☆FANATICS☆
The math is right there
vinnie's smart. he knows a lot of kiss fans love collecting all things kiss. i worked with a kiss fan a long time ago. i had these small diecast kiss cars i was going to throw out. i sold them to this guy for $20 each. Now they're on eBay for hundreds each. ya, kiss fans are funny and weird
That adds up!
Whenever I see a musician, especially a formerly respectable one, offering what appears to be substandard product - and people are obviously still buying it - my reaction is the same as Max Cherry from the movie Jackie Brown: "Whatever you're into, you seem to be getting away with it, so more power to you."
They gotta make money some how
Translation: "There's a sucker born every day"
Sorry thats not how you treat your small fan base ..unless your VV I guess (The -ConCusano)
Vinnie Vincent is the Stuttering John of the guitar world.
This so far is best comment
As a guitar player, he used to be absolutely amazing; he had technique, precision, rhythm control, cleanliness and phrasing (when he wanted to be tasteful) out of this world. For the rest, I tend to separate the musician from the individual. Sometimes I can, just like in the case of Vinnie Vincent, sometimes I can't.
He was really good, just wish that was built upon more
Vivian Vincent.
Gene saw think and thought...hmm...maybe its time to do another Vault. 😂
Maybe vinnie and gene will do private house shows
He needs to make money to pay for his transition somehow.
There was a free Vinnie Vincent euphoria page now changed name, also its private maybe you can request to join Vinnie Vincent prices is delusional.
Have to check it out for sure!
Vinnie Vincent... there's a sucker born every minute...
This times 100
Peace be to you,
Everyone thinks Vinnie played
parts Steve Farris played
on Creatures of the night.
Vinnie is a poor player.
Bob Kulick and Robin Ford
played on the same record
brilliantly.
The record was an example
of misuse of the language
in Heaven...Music.
After kiss Vinnie transitioned
to another band and transitions
to this day. A poverty of poverties.
"Do you know my friend Thomas?"
Jesus sent me to inquire of thee.
He thinks he’s Gene Simmons
Thank god there is only one of thise
I met Vinnie once...he has a river of coke snot running from his nose down his chin, he had shit himself and they were slowing down the music for him to solo over..so when it was sped back up it'd make him sound like he could play fast..
Great 1st impression!!
Class act.
Wowww thats a deep one
That's nonsense...I saw Vincent open for Alice Cooper live in 1988 and he played just as fast as he did on his albums!
Cocaine is a helluva drug
(no offense) it is great to see the younger generation talking about rock and taking it seriously! Keep it up!
Subscribing to see what else you come out with...
Signed an old rocker dude :)
PS - my brother-in-law used to jam with Vinny a bit when they were kids, sounds like he was an okay person - just got all mixed up somewhere along the line.
Thank you
Is your t-shirt on backwards?
Nice catch! It totally is
Social Media has been nothing but a bitchfest this new year...wtf....
And I say welcome to the show
Vinnie Vincent is the real life Sammi Curr.
I feel sorry for his dogs.🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Me too
Vincent must REALLY need money.
You say "marketed" like a Maritimer.
I am one
Don't shoot your video as vertical. That's why you end up with useless black on each side.
Thank you, noted for future videos
I like Vinnie Vincent Invasion, but not enough to pay prices like these. Up to $8,500 for an autographed guitar?! Even a Gibson Les Paul autographed by Slash wouldn't sell for that much!
Dead on⚡️⚡️
i get the prices and that but he is an insane guitarist especially if he knew to tone it down i personally like it but you shouldnt hate his guitar
VV has always been a notorious rip-off. Sad fact that has alienated both colleagues and fans for decades.
Still waiting for new material 🤣🤣🙄
I’m not sure what’s more shocking the scam level shit Vinny Vincent is pulling or the fact on this very video there are comment defending him.
Seems pretty wild doesn't it
WINNIE WINCENT!!!
He looks great in a pant suit
I was wondering when he would 'surface' again lol!
He's back in action 🤣🤣
