The question of course being how the sniper knew where they were that wasn't available to the group of dying soldiers. Or why they themselves didn't have any snipers or other long-range engagement options in a long-range combat environment. Or why they thought spraying machine gun fire wildly into the air when they knew the target was ~1 kilometers away would be a viable strategy (4 seconds between shot and sound, sound moves ~340 meters per second, varies based on speed of bullet). Or why they didn't engage in evasive movement as the enemy had significant bullet lead at that distance and depending on the speed of the bullet may be almost entirely unable to hit anything that isn't standing still or moving in a straight line at a consistent rate. Overall they seem undertrained and underequipped for the job they were sent to do. Which isn't necessarily unrealistic as military leadership can be dumbasses (see Russia right now), but it's not like these tactics would have been anywhere near as effective against a troop that knew or could figure out how to mitigate sniper fire and was equipped with guns and equipment suitable for the environment they were sent to fight in.
I am Peruvian and I did military service in my country, I can assure you that the people who made this anime are great, they portrayed the army well, with the uniform, the army emblem and the helicopters with their camouflage and cockade.
After a re watch, the plot makes more sense now... -Sniper used a bottle of mech fluid to bait the enemy into think his suit was damaged, while he repositioned all while maintaining visual of his last known position. Things I don't get: - how a mech suit can sneak around so quietly. - the hallucinations the platoon leader experienced before dying.
Those alien sounds the exo's make while moving around probably can't be heard from inside the canopy of another Exoframe. (in episode 1 they have been shown stealthily eliminating enemies whit the torch without being discovered by other exo's.) But maybe when you are a foot soldier locating a moving exo at close range is a lot easier. Or another theory I have is that some expert pilots can move their exo's carefully enough to not cause any sound. (The exo is controlled by neuro-link, such precision and control seems to be in the realm of possible, plus, the sniper has been shown being able to pilot his exo while not being on the saddle in a previous episode, so maybe he is special in a way.) Either that, or the Exoframes aren't as loud as the show makes us think xD
It was said durt the previous chapters, the exos are piloted using something similar to telepathy alongside the transforming mechanism shown in the previous episodes. In the hallucinating part, remember the human mind is fragile. Stress can make a person suffer from amnesia even without physical damage or became blind or mute add the (possibly) mental strain done to the pilot and you would have a hallucination. To support that, the person that died before him ended up with a mental breakdown which is odd for someone still serving in the frontline.

I love both of the mechs in this episode. The main ones look like the ZTZ-96 for some reason. The second ones look like they were made to be a mech version of the M-113: carry a lot of supplies, a variety of weapons, and a shit ton of ammo. The designs look like something that could be made IRL.
I honestly thought some of the pilots survived because you dont really see where they're getting hit, in the episode "Area 51" they made it specific that the pilot had to die to stop the exos.
Also, I think the bullet plus the armor fragments inside the cockpit from those hits. So we could assume that the pilots are dead dead from the bullet and fragments.
@@eizerflak6967 Fragmentation makes sense I just feel like the way you see them die is pretty anticlimactic since all you hear is a ding and you see the exo drop. I expected something more visceral considering they're probably getting hit with a large round.
Would of been cool if there was a mixture of both exo frames and just foot soilders battles. More diversity in the action, the exo frame giving cover and support and the regular soilders getting into smaller spaces to snipe and or get closer.
this is probably a time line where demand for oil spiked duo to attacks like the one in a previous episode this maintains the stats quo of pre oil crash venezuela , add to that how in our timeline they are able to maintain a massive para military force with decent weapons and the fact that you can also use exos in manual labor and mining which are related to all the profitable sectors in venezuela its safe to say they are able to gather a decent wealth add to that that a dictator would not care if he throws away money and you got a good platform that attracts mercenaries honestly this is a super in depth look but the show seams to factor that in the plot
@ True but just like the U.S. and the western powers in general. So long as they have the wealth they can and will still hire mercenaries to do some of the dirty work.

I do love the series, but given the fog a number of questions arise: How did the sniper know where they were and able to see them clearly enough to land kills with every shot in a way capable of penetrating the fog that wasn't available to the group of dying soldiers. Did the sniper just have way better spotting technology or left some kind of sensors at the first decoy site? Why did the troops not have any snipers or other long-range engagement options in a long-range combat environment? Or why did they think it was a viable idea to spray machine gun fire wildly into the air when they knew the target was ~1 kilometers away (4 seconds between shot and sound, sound moves ~340 meters per second, varies based on speed of bullet)? Or why did they not engage in evasive movement as the enemy had significant bullet lead at that distance and depending on the speed of the bullet may be almost entirely unable to hit anything that isn't standing still or moving in a straight line at a consistent rate? Overall they seem undertrained and underequipped for the job they were sent to do. This is less on the revolutionary capablities of the exos and much more on the soldiers being sent to die from the moment they left base with the lack of gear and lack of training they had.
1: Probably thermal optics or something similar 2: Snipers and marksman are generally deployed either separate from main forces or supported by infantry. Given the Charuincho’s sheer skill (not even a single missed or non-kill shot), chances are anyone trying to countersnipe would be dead before they could even see them 3: The M2 Browning’s maximum range is 2 kilometers with its effective range at 1.83 kilometers so it isn’t too far fetched for them to do at. Chances are it was less to kill and more just to keep them from firing 4: Likely panic and being undertrained, plus even if they did evasive maneuvers the troops have to stop moving eventually
^This.. Why in gods name would you even move when you dont know the snipers location?? and why do they pop up in the same place where they take cover?? These guys suck lol
@@dualshock3 They take the first piece of cover they think they can get. That's training. Then they use covering fire in the most likely direction. That's common. And yes, they make mistakes. Contrary to popular belief, you're not always in a position to keep maneuvering.
@@thanatosstorm They did have some maneuver freedom, that was pretty obvious less than a minute after first shot for those guys. The thing that makes snipers scary is unpredictability. You never actually know where they are and where are their teammates. I mean, snipers typically are a set of 2. It's nearly impossible for infantry guys to find a way to actually get out of their view to secure spot and out of shooting range if they are caught on the move. (some common facts) But here it was one sniper-marksman and, well, the commander really just buried his people. Although I think he did follow the order to the end...

I love both of the mechs in this episode. The main ones look like the ZTZ-96 for some reason. The second ones look like they were made to be a mech version of the M-113: carry a lot of supplies, a variety of weapons, and a shit ton of ammo. The designs look like something that could be made IRL.
ペルー軍のエグゾって、頭部のカメラや縦に走るパイプに腕と足の装甲、それに武装のM2重機関銃から考えるに、
サーベラス社が使用してたエグゾを参考にしたか軍用に発展させたものなのかな。

I honestly thought some of the pilots survived because you dont really see where they're getting hit, in the episode "Area 51" they made it specific that the pilot had to die to stop the exos.
Yeah considering where some of the shots hit I think some of them survived and escaped
Only guy that probably died was the one who exited his suit
Actually you can see all the shots are body shots, where is exactly the pilots are. The bullet traspasses the armor.
Okay, the words "Venezuela" and "financial power" doesn't go together no matter how you look at the current situation.
Well, this IS alternate timeline.
this is probably a time line where demand for oil spiked duo to attacks like the one in a previous episode
this maintains the stats quo of pre oil crash venezuela , add to that how in our timeline they are able to maintain a massive para military force with decent weapons
and the fact that you can also use exos in manual labor and mining which are related to all the profitable sectors in venezuela
its safe to say they are able to gather a decent wealth
add to that that a dictator would not care if he throws away money
and you got a good platform that attracts mercenaries
honestly this is a super in depth look but the show seams to factor that in the plot
@@polasamierwahsh421 well that makes sense
Venezuela has a pretty strong military tho.
@ True but just like the U.S. and the western powers in general. So long as they have the wealth they can and will still hire mercenaries to do some of the dirty work.

I do love the series, but given the fog a number of questions arise:
How did the sniper know where they were and able to see them clearly enough to land kills with every shot in a way capable of penetrating the fog that wasn't available to the group of dying soldiers.
This is less on the revolutionary capablities of the exos and much more on the soldiers being sent to die from the moment they left base with the lack of gear and lack of training they had.
1: Probably thermal optics or something similar
2: Snipers and marksman are generally deployed either separate from main forces or supported by infantry. Given the Charuincho’s sheer skill (not even a single missed or non-kill shot), chances are anyone trying to countersnipe would be dead before they could even see them
3: The M2 Browning’s maximum range is 2 kilometers with its effective range at 1.83 kilometers so it isn’t too far fetched for them to do at. Chances are it was less to kill and more just to keep them from firing
4: Likely panic and being undertrained, plus even if they did evasive maneuvers the troops have to stop moving eventually
The soundtrack at the end credits is an absolute banger by the way
Snipers around, let’s just stand out in the open.
they trained to gesture more then how to fight
^This..
Why in gods name would you even move when you dont know the snipers location?? and why do they pop up in the same place where they take cover??
These guys suck lol
@@dualshock3 Is created
(some common facts)
But here it was one sniper-marksman and, well, the commander really just buried his people. Although I think he did follow the order to the end...
