When I first saw the guy taking the picture of the fallen soldier I was like, "Wow, what a sick guy". But when I saw that they were making a movie, and that _each frame was a dead soldier_ , then "Wow, THAT is sick". Because *imagine the hundreds of soldiers that didn't fall the way that they needed* and they kept killing more until the guy fell "correctly"...
This is so well done, better than the crap Hollywood produces. Camera angles, selective focus and depth of field, composition, everything is fantastic.
Every time I read a "it' better than what Hollywood produces" comment, it's so stupid. The people who work in Hollywood, are people just like him, who produced this animation.

That means that at 8 fps with each soldier being a frame, we come to 480 dead soldiers. Of course, that doesn’t count “rejects” since the “filmmaker” clearly inspects each shot to make sure he gets the result he wants.
В 2006 купил комп б/у, а в нём этот мульт. Наверное, раз 50 смотрел. "Искусство падения"- так лучше. А потом нашёл все мульты Томека Багинского. А парень - то гений! Рекомендую.

However messed up you think the storyline may be, you have to admit the artistic, talent on this is amazing, especially for how old it is. This was beautifully rendered.
Some moments hit you in a way that you can't express. 4:15 where the soldier is flapping their wings like an angel was one of those moments. The fact the artist is barely even looking at the pictures, lost in his own imagination of the war.
I was blind and this film showed me the light, cause it changed my views on the pride of being a soldier and the loyalty with which we follow orders. What a great film!!!
I love how it's also a nod to traditional animation, although in a very dark and perverted way 😆. I remember seeing this short when I went to UNI more than a decade ago. One of the best shorts i've seen in my life.

Probably one of the only surreal animations to make me think, reflect back, and even feel inspired instead of simply creeping me out so that I never come back. Proves that you do not have to be overly edgy to get a point across.
This is true art. It is bizarre, macabre and unsettling. It carries a message that is not easily decrypted by the masses. Combined with the unhinged Balkan music, it carries a level of perfection that can only be admired and envied.
Those behind most every war we know of, want us to believe they're all for a noble cause. Clearly the disregard for human life is inconceivable... atrocities are their fingerprint throughout history. This disturbing film is more accurate than you might think.

Had a giggle at the start as I was reminded of the "Vampire Training Tower" from Hotel Transylvania 2. Then I'm thinking "You push them off, they figure it out" Then it got dark real quick. The animation is incredible!
The soldiers are small, weak and obedient. The commanders are powerfully strong. That's the way life goes, ordinary people die for the rich and their indifference.

That was not any waist of a talent. Tomasz Bagiński was one of the best creators and animators worldwide, and in my opision, he still is. Check the company called Platige Image. He is involved in many huge projects, well known all over the world.
This one is many years old, around 2004 and I still remember watching it and being like, he killed his own men for "art". And then I realize all these men are the same size, height, and build. This does not have to be about war. (A serial killer in a peaceful society can still create a similar thing.) This is about a philosophy of having life and death at the same time. A similar setting could be a new plant growing from a corpse.

Сейчас США нет дела до земель, находящихся на другом континенте, потому что их содержание несёт большие затраты, а вот выкачивание ресурсов с этих земель при минимуме затрат - самое то! Да и зачем чем то владеть, если можно печатать бесконечно фантики и за бесценок владеть тем что нужно. А когда придёт время платить по счетам перед должниками, зачем? Можно отправить туда авианосные группы и намекнуть что все долги должны быть списаны! Читайте З.Бзежинского...он все написал в своей книге "Великая шахматная доска".
