The waxing lyrical, stick wielding, bike bludgeoning, Steve is back. As for the Bike get a real rider to see if he can break it, Sam Pilgrim comes to mind.
This is the very first of your video's I have ever gave a thumbs down to. Why ! ? We see the stig riding the bike. Is there only one bike in UK being swaped between you tube channels ? Also if I hear once more about feather I will eat my pillow made from feathers.
I want to actually see one ridden hahaha. the most hyped ebike that is yet to be seen in the actual wild or ridden by someone other than stock marketing footage
So, Because frame is made in europe that should mean no uk 14% import fees and I assume with the frame being far less labour intensive than carbon frame that would also mean less cost to manufacture due to less labour/time to make ?? All sounds good for UK buyers
YT Decoy too. Would not swap as it's seems there is only one in the UK being shared between you tubers and nobody is allowed to ride it, why ? Something dose not sit right with me.
It is an amazing emtb but would be better if it had bosch motor smart system and fox rear shock as well. Anyway, it is like the best looking bike on the market I guess.
Yeah, it'll be so interesting to see if competitor brands start trying to find new and interesting ways in making carbon fibre a stronger and more reliable material.
I have seen a few videos about this bike, and the song and dance they make about it being made by robots, most cars and many more things are built by automation. Robots are used for many reasons accuracy, quicker, cheaper and good for repetitive jobs. The bike will be quick in the right hands, just because someone paid nearly 9k for a bike, doesn't mean they will be the fastest kid on the block, people shouldn't believe the hyp.
So AWESOME in every way BUT! The motor maybe out of the way and protected but the front Coq with the chain is completly in protected! I Really wanted this Bike but NO, i would trash the Coq and chain in My first Ride! Doing Trails/Traials kind of riding, this the best looking Bike out NOW! but not for me 🤬
I think you can add bashguard to chainring as additional protection. On many other e-bikes profile of motor overlaps chainring ("sticking out" down and upfront) - motor is then first "point of contact" with high rollover obstacle (and motor is more valuable part and additional protection of it is almost impossible).
Looks amazing, and great to see stronger frames promised, but are the current Emtbs really fit for purpose? My first ebike main frame failed, the chainstay failed pivot bolts failed, the hub failed the the di2 derailleur failed! all within 3 years!! bear in mind in the last 20 years I've only had 2 mountain bike frames so it's not like I regularly destroy bikes! I'm now looking at a brand with much the same spec as the kellys and about the same price but it is has a classification: category 4 which their website says; it's Meant for riding on: "tarmac roads and bicycle routes, ways paved by gravel, sand or similar materials (e.g. re road, dirt road), paved and non-paved hiking trails where roots, thresholds, rocks and drops are more often. more rough unpaved terrain with intermittent jumps/ drops with a height up to 0,5m. In doing so the wheels have constant contact to the ground or lose contact for a split of a moment due to small uneven terrain like roots (-> no riding on one wheel neither front or rear, no braking that causes the rear wheel to lift up)" As for Kellys recycling claim, I'd like to see more on how this is done? I cannot imagine all the steel can be removed from the material and reused? repurposed maybe but really is recycling going to be possible?
"fully recyclable frame" sorry but thats BS^^ the main material is probably plastic, and how well you can recycle that is documented more than enough by now. Looks like a cool bike. wondering how well the rear suspension works, since thats to me the biggest difference between bikes.
Insufficient size choice. I’m 1.98m so their large offering is too small. Even at 1.95m a rider will be at the extreme end of the recommended fit and no choice to go larger. Take a lead out of Santa Crux’s note book and give us a decent sized Xl/XXL.
Tried to contact the distributor in Oz to buy one however zero reply’s, shame the distributor in Oz is so poor otherwise I would of got one however the company building it was very helpful, maybe time to look at their distributor in oz because they pretty much suck.
Rob rides has also done the whole marketing pitch... sheesh this bike may one day be available for a real test ride. So was Steve not actually allowed to get on it at all????
Shame on Kellys and Shame on Shimano for the DU-EP800 and the lack of ability to upgrade the group set. The group set firstly requires stupid wires a mix of new SD300 and bigger older SD50. The EP800 components are not upgradable to the EP801 group. So what this means is that the massive unergonomic shifter can not be changed. Be warned. Grate your knuckles, jamb your fingers, reaching for the shifter is what you'll be condemned too. Oh! and Kellys ship the bike with the cheaper cassette not the one stated! Shame this was not mentioned?
This is without doubt the best looking emtb to date, it really is a blueprint for how emtbs should look I think
Daron
The geometry and spec on this bike is immense! 👊
Have had mine on order for ages, hopefully very very soon, it is great to hear from someone about this bike, it does look absolutely amazing.
Congrats
Nice! If your in the uk could you tell me where have you ordered it from? Cheers
Mountain mania

Yes UK
Hey Anthony! That's great! We hope you enjoy your new ride when it comes. Thanks for the support and safe riding!
Proud 🇸🇰
nice to have the look , but so sad you couldn't go test it!!
Thanks for the support, Patrick! We did get our test rider to ride it.
@@embn thanks, but I like your ride tests! nothing bad on your test rider, looks amazing!
Been looking forward to this video even though I wont be able to afford the bike.
Thanks for video..Thumb UP
Wow Steve you really ride that hard
Those logs 😍
Could you elaborate about the battery please, is it removal etc. And thank you for the video/s 👍🏻
Yes. There is one screw and you pull the battery out easily.
I think there's been too much talking/marketing and not enough actual testing- and trying to get one in the UK?!!
So how does it ride that's the whole point. It can be made of fairy dust and if we don't know how it rides it doesn't matter.
Still waiting for mine
Rob rides is doing a test this week
How do I get my hands on one of these in Australia?
If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated
@Gravity MTB nice, where are you located?
Getting mine August
When are you likely to publish your full review.
Cheers
Anthony
Great bike but needs a Bosch motor. 😀
Do bike shop carry them I’m from New Jersey or do you buy it on line
The waxing lyrical, stick wielding, bike bludgeoning, Steve is back. As for the Bike get a real rider to see if he can break it, Sam Pilgrim comes to mind.
Nice looking bike Steve but I like a bit colour, as for the new materials 😍👍love it, preferably the bosch motor instead,,, love mine😏👌👌
Hey Stephen! The material is so exciting for the electric bike industry! It could be a game changer.
On road i agree with you on the Bosch motors, but for MTB personally i find the Shimanos to be much better than Bosch...
Magic and want one !!
I would love one of those!
We want one too! 😂
@@embn I could probably swap my 2yr old Decoy for £1500 - £2000, but I'm retired now at 63 so can't justify it.
So how does it ride??
will this be available in the United States?
Where are they for sale?
Aluminum with similar kit is just fine thanks.
Agreed! Having all the new and fancy kit is brilliant, but there is still nothing wrong with a good aluminium frame! 👍
This is the very first of your video's I have ever gave a thumbs down to. Why ! ? We see the stig riding the bike. Is there only one bike in UK being swaped between you tube channels ? Also if I hear once more about feather I will eat my pillow made from feathers.
awesome, just awesome!
Is it direct sales?
Does anybody know if they will ship to the USA?
Amazing
I ride a yt decoy 29 and it's a beauty. But this is next level, looks awesome. But is it the same cool Bike? Screams like an comparison!!!!!!!
I think there is only one in UK
Looks and sounds amazing did I mis you give out the cost?
€8500
Out of my reach then, I wouldn’t be able to ride it like I stole it anyway 😂👍
I tried to buy one but no communication from Kelly's so bought a pole voima which had awsome communication.
VAT and import duty ???
🇸🇰 Made in Slovakia 🇸🇰🥇
I see Steve u have a custom stick nice is it carbon? I think thats the prettiest wood pile i have ever seen ha ha and the bike isnt bad either .
It was a very nice wood pile to say the least! Haha! 😅
I really want to know the real weight of this bike...
I want to actually see one ridden hahaha. the most hyped ebike that is yet to be seen in the actual wild or ridden by someone other than stock marketing footage
some 22 kilos
So, Because frame is made in europe that should mean no uk 14% import fees and I assume with the frame being far less labour intensive than carbon frame that would also mean less cost to manufacture due to less labour/time to make ?? All sounds good for UK buyers
If I ever get rid of my YT Decoy this is the bke I would get.
Me too, but at 64 times running out for bike swaps!
YT Decoy too. Would not swap as it's seems there is only one in the UK being shared between you tubers and nobody is allowed to ride it, why ? Something dose not sit right with me.
The YT Decoy is a really good looking bike! Although, the thermo plastic steel carbon composite frame could be a game changing frame material! 👍
@@elvingtonred youngster lol
Although I very much doubt I will be able to ride it anywhere near as fast as you do.
Could be the future if it gets to competitive price point. Good luck nonetheless
It is an amazing emtb but would be better if it had bosch motor smart system and fox rear shock as well. Anyway, it is like the best looking bike on the market I guess.
Within time We will really get to know how This new material turns out though the price for a newcomers is a wee bite too high!
Yeah, it'll be so interesting to see if competitor brands start trying to find new and interesting ways in making carbon fibre a stronger and more reliable material.
that top tube would make me fell like i was riding my sisters bike just not keen on it

If i didn't want room for water bottle or a Bosch motor... I'd just buy a YT
I think next James Bond should ride this bike on a trail while chasing bad guys
Wish had different motor

@@mozeq i got an Haibike now,and it just slides over the treetrunks and rocks, with the motor cover/protection very well made.
The amazing part of this frame is durability which is 6x greater than carbon frames. So rocks and crashes will not affect your biking!
So they claim
I'm kinda left hanging. Everytime the word 200% stronger was mentioned, I was waiting for a clip of a bash test to insert into the video
My frame cracked
Nice wood pile
I’ve got my name down on one of these.
Perfect bike other than the ep8.
Some say the rider is one of the many illegitimate offspring of a former motoring test driver......
Haha! That might be true! 👀😅

Perfect, erm nearly....... a Bosch motor would have completed this bike!
I dont give a shit what its made from Id have one just for the looks and kit out.
It does look brilliant! 😍
Looks suspiciously like a Whyte E180. Good design choice :)
Why are Euro bikes so underpowered?
Hey! E-bikes in Europe have a slower speed limit compared to somewhere like the USA! In Europe it's 25kph and in the US it's 32kph.

The test rider did not seem like Steve or any other EMBN presenter… 😉🤔
I think it was supplied by Kellys
It’s like Kelly’s won’t let anyone ride their bike, seen it on other channels 🤷🏼♂️
@@paulmcculloch2002 and I wonder why that is???

Tat's all fine and dandy but how does the bloody thing ride? I can't find a single video fro anybody who has actually ridden the bike!...
Ahhh now that's the real question.. if it was April 1st one would think....

I say this out of experience as I bought 4 of them if this qualifies!
Just looked at their range, apart from the Enduro everything thing else is Uncomfortable hardtails. These people are so last century in their thinking
