The Battery thing is perfectly solved by Giant 👌 for the Years of 2019,2020 and 2021 you can replace your existing 500 or 625Wh Battery with the new 800Wh one and only need an additional Cover extra for around 50€👍 That should be the way to go for every Brand 👌
Only problem I see is fixing the neutering on these motors. We have great tuning chips now for almost all name brand manufacturers so you can actually own your bike. Even ones that work with gestapo Bosch. Maybe the motor maker has a plan it would be smart to have it as optional. Like bike hating governments would really let that happen.
I've actually purchased a Trek EXe 9.7 model TQ motor Emtb and rode it Today.. First 1½ hours I didn't use the motor as it felt so good as a mtb. Next 1½hrs with motor On. Very good and silent and was able to master all the straight up steep tracks and short embankments that I can do on my full power Levos. Very impressive 👏 👌. Was surprised it was actually available in shop on the day of Release. E=Mtb²
The Orange Intradrive gearboxed motor definitely warrants its own video review. Derailleurs are so dumb on EMTBs. Mine just disintegrate. Game changer!
Good to see a company making replacement motors that fit existing ebike frames. Oli could be a game changer for those looking to get a replacement motor for when the old one packs up. Just the price could be the deal breaker if its anything close to the original motors price then I can see it not taking off.
Oli has such a great idea! It's about time that riders will be able to find drop-in replacement/upgrade motors for their ebikes! Hope they consider the Yamaha form factor. *
Same here! We'd like to see more gearbox technology making its way into e-mountain biking. There are certainly concepts floating around, so our fingers are crossed!
I've been waiting for this for some time. If they do combine the motor with a gearbox on motorcycle, why can't they do it on e-bikes - especially with a belt drive. That would really cut down the maintenance. The proviso is that it shouldn't be outrageously expensive.
I want that Orange bike! :P Just what I have been waiting for for years now. I though about converting a orange ebike to run belt drive and gearhub. This is however what I have been waiting for :D
@@chinarello2928 90% of my issues with my last bike was chain and dereilure related. A gearbox/motor combo have always been the dream though because of unsprung weight benefit for the suspension.

Tested the ABS today on eurobike, and it works great, but I still wouldn't put it on my emtb, maybe it will be useful for comuters to lower the risk of falling after rain or snow..

Does the new mini controller and display unit replaces the purion controller? If not, maybe bosch can consider splitting the controller and display of the purion to make the display less prone to damage.
A great review. I am totally new to EMB’s and looking at what is on here it will be a long, long time before my budget can stretch. With that in mind I was wondering if you had any ideas of what to look for with respect to second hand. Which brands, models, motors etc. And, more importantly, what to avoid? Keep bringing the content. Thanks again.
Bikes still using group sets designed for manual bikes. The cassettes will not last as the additional power just chews them up! Nice to see a belt drive on the Orange, interested to see how that performs.

No dirbikes, ranging from inexpensive 20 years old designs to cutting endge MX or Hard Enduro racing ready models bother with ABS. With off road surfaces, its is very often beneficial to let the wheels lock, or turn at much slower rate for the speed of the bike.
@@embn yep, and the single pivot might be the best choice for the weight of a full size enduro e-bike. i dont believe this frame uses the new orange multi pivot design with a single rear swing arm.
