Hey guys and welcome back to the channel! Who knew that PMS would still be around after my Hysterectomy ? 😩 Let’s talk about it real quick . #hysterectomy #pms
Omg, I'm new here. I had my hysterectomy 3 years ago and today I am having cramps like I am about to start. I thought I was losing my mind. I still have one ovary and I am supposed to be officially in menopause. This is crazy! I am glad I'm not alone.
I LITERALLY searched "period symptoms after hysterectomy" and found this video!!! 4 weeks out from hysterectomy! Thought I was crazy! Have my ovaries ans been having same symptoms as you! So glad to know it's not abnormal!! 🤦🏿♀️🙌🏿🙏🏿
LITERALLY the reason I'm here!! Had a hysterectomy 1 yr ago and a few months ago I started "pms'ing". Cramps, bloating, irritated etc the whole shabang. Ugh, im trying to figure out how to track my cycle using basal body temperatures BBT. Having difficulty actually finding cycle tracking info specific for us gals with ovaries but no uterus thou 😢
I love your beautiful attitude! I am getting ready to have my hysterectomy because of Adenomyosis. I really appreciate knowing that someone has been through this with a good experience!
I'm feeling this right now! I always thought it was because I was having symptomatic pains with my daughter, but now I think differently. I still have all the issues and pains and all of that like I did when I had a period. Only differently is I'm not bleeding, thank God. But I feel like hell.
Sitting here sobbing because I feel so validated by this! Thank you for your video! I had my uterus and cervix removed in 2019 before COVID screwed everything up. I kept my ovaries. Had a breast reduction over a decade ago...but now having bad breast tenderness EVERY DANG MONTH!! x_x;;; It's still better than those debilitating uterine cramps, but good grief! Maybe it will end one day. lol
Yes, i had one of those, was left with just one ovary that worked overtime. I had all the symptoms except the blood up until i hit menopause. Now i get no symptoms…but it took 20 plus years.
Omg, I’m so glad I found this video! I had a partial hysterectomy 4 years ago. I still have a period, I actually still bleed! It’s really light and only lasts about 2 days. I still get the same period symptoms and everything.
@@LatoyaClark no, I don’t. I’ve been to my doctor about it. I was told that the only way it would stop was if I got my ovaries removed. The bleeding has actually lightened up over the years. But yes, I still have a monthly period. Crazy right!
@@miashere0529 that is so crazy! Before I had my surgery, my doctor told me that she recommended that I have my cervix removed so that I don’t have to worry about any bleeding . I did not know you could still bleed after having your cervix removed 😳 you have taught me something new today lol
@@miashere0529 , the bleeding is most likely coming from your vaginal cuff… the closing point/new end of the VG…a second opinion with a specialist is a good idea. Yes, Ovulation would still occur due to the uterus being there but no bleeding should occur as there is no shedding occurring since there is no Uterus. Pls do not remove your ovaries…..as you would instantly be in menopause with more menopausal symptoms to now deal with. Pls get a second opinion from a reproductive specialist.
Girl... I just had my "cycle" last week! That breast tenderness is the 1 symptom I wish I didn't keep! They hurt CONSTANTLY, a week before and the week of 😫 Hopefully it won't happen every month.
Yup cravings too. Thank God I don't get headaches. I have the same symptoms I had before my Hysterectomy. I'm only 3 months post tho. We'll see how it goes
I had a vaginal hysterectomy 2 weeks ago and now I'm having ovulation pain. The pain from ovulation is almost as bad as the pain from the surgery Lol. So I will be going back on, and continuing to take my low dose birth control pills called (Blisovi) so that I won't ovulate... ugh! 🙄. But at least I won't be heavy bleeding anymore and hopefully, at least, less to no cramping during my "cycle" during the placebo week off of taking my BC pills.
I just had my partial hysterectomy on March 9th. Officially, I would have normally started my period around the 17th. It’s now the 28th, and I am now learning that I will still experience changes in emotional, have breast tenderness, have vaginal tenderness, and have the super vivid PMS dreams because I’m dealing with all of them now.
I still have one overy, and I get my period every month but I have spotting. I told my doctor and he brushed it off and said it will go away. It's been almost 2 years and still going through it
Someone else commented and said they were having light cycles too. I think that is the strangest thing because where is the blood coming from if the uterus is gone 🤔 I don’t like that your doctor brushed it off either but it may be a common thing.
Oh my God thank you.I had hysterectomy a month ago.I'm having PMS.I told to my doctor. She said, you won't have any period. She did not believe me I guess.
Latoya Clark I’m having an abdominal hysterectomy. I have 4 fibroids, 2 large. Largest is almost 10 cm. They are removing my uterus, cervix and Fallopian tubes. I’m keeping both ovaries. 13 days to the countdown 🤞🏾🙏🏾
YO 🥳🥳 my doctor said I’m her poster child for hysterectomy 😊 I opted out of narcotic pain medication in the hospital and discharge. I walked around the hospital the next day after my surgery. I’m 9 weeks post op tomorrow. I started running 2 weeks ago and it’s like day and night. Who would’ve know fibroid were so toxic to the body. Recovery went great. I did spot one day because I was out walking when I was told not to and take it easy. It was a stitch that came out and I was good as new. Having a hysterectomy was the best thing I did for my body. Thanks for checking up on me 🥺🤗
@@pinkvegan77cali65 Wow, check u out girly, so happy for u!! Wishing u continued healing and happiness!😊 ***This coming wed, I'll be 3 wks post op, can't wait for 6!🙌🏽😊💃🏽
Yes me same. Even though my ovulation pain is horrible, by removing the ovaries, it would automatically throw you into menopause and I don't want to have to go through that at age 43. The ovaries unfortunately is what produce the hormones that cause period symptoms 😭

Hi and welcome ❤️ I have been having cramps on and off when it’s “that time of the month” lol at one point I had to take a Motrin. You are not alone 🥰
Dito!! Year 3 for me
Calcium for cramps 👍

Oh you’re still experiencing PMS. I just had this question. Thank you for addressing it.
Yup PMS symptoms every month girl lol you welcome !

Funny story , I had a breast reduction in 2011 😂 my breast can get pretty tender at times too so I completely understand.
@@LatoyaClark Yeah, same! lol I think I had my reduction around 2010, then my hysterectomy in 2019.
