I’m going through the same exact thing right now. I’m 24, I don’t have kids but I want to have kids one day.. Found out I had fibroids in October. I’ve been bleeding nonstop since November due to the fibroids and it is very exhausting, I wake up each morning hoping it’s gone but it’s still going. No one around me understands and your video was very comforting to know im not alone in this.
Hi...I'm so sorry you have been going through this at such a young age. My surgery bleeding started at the in 2018. I am less than 2 weeks away from having my hysterectomy surgery. Unfortunately, this is the only option for me as I no longer want to have children. I need a better quality of life as this past year has been terrible health wise. You may need to consider a few options as the bleeding for me only got worse and not better due to the fibroids. Stay strong and also take good care of yourself. 🤗
So sorry you are going through this. I found out I had fibroids at the age of 26 at my 8 week pregnancy scan. I had an open myomectomy 3 months postpartum and I am currently pregnant with my second and due in a few weeks. Don't lose hope. ❤
Neeq Dillard same to me too . I found I had fibroid which is 10.6cm . I really stress out when I look at my self . Bleeding all the time . Sometimes I cry while I’m alone because I know nobody can understand my situation. Hopefully I’m going to do surgery soon.

I had same problem and had to have a total abdominal hysterectomy! It was the best thing next to having my daughters I,ve ever done! I felt like a reborn woman! Here is 2022 my fibroids are at its worse. Same symptoms I have two kids don’t want anymore children. I am having a hysterectomy because i can’t take the pain so glad nothing is cancerous and I pray my stomach goes down with this procedure. Everything you experience I have and I am 52. Missing work wearing pampers with two pads changing every two hours. I went to the doctor was hospitalized had to have 6 blood transfusion within a year almost died.

Throughout my20's I had several large fibroids fist sized. My largest the size of a newborn babe at 7lbs. I also experienced the horrible pain and extremely heavy bleeding. I've always had a heavy cycle. My fibroids unfortunately are hereditary. I did see several doctors and finally found a gynecologist that have me a myomectomy. That surgery went well. I still have my uterus. I don't have any kids. Fast forward to end of last year.. 😔 4 fibroids have grown back... They are small. I pray that they stay that way. Oh my gosh gorgeous, me too. I didn’t get any relief until I had the surgery. I will be 47 and I had this issue since I had my second child. You’re right, the doctors didn’t do anything until my CA125 numbers were so high they thought I had ovarian cancer. Yes, anemia, but D efficiency, pain, bloating, and my daughter has the same issues as well. We have the same hair and mine is thinning and shedding as well. This sounds like me currently. I had a tubal removal after my second child and I gained a lot of weight about the weight gain was causing my irregular periods got on Phentermine lost 30 my hair started breaking off and thinning I thought that it could possibly be from the Phentermine then I found out that I was pre-diabetic and now I am having my period for it's been about 30 days now and the clocks are bigger than a quarter size did an ultrasound found that I had some very small fibroids so my doctor put me on birth control but the bleeding has not stopped I've had this happen three other times in the past and I just took vitamins and extra iron and it stopped but this time it's not working

Hi Vilma. I found out I had fibroids four years ago (I'm 46.) I have some of the symptoms you've mentioned: anemia and heavy periods. Interestingly, I didn't associate these symptoms with fibroids until I was diagnosed. I'm wondering how you're doing today? I'm going through the same situation! Was told 3 years ago i had 5 fibroid tumors and to monitor them. Then covid happened. I've been on a very heavy period nonstop for what feels like forever!!(7 weeks straight, then about a 10-day break, now on again, this week will be 4 weeks straight!) It's unbearable, feel like I can't leave my home, accidents 3-4 times/day! Going through multiple boxes of girlie products per week! Emotionally drained is an understatement 😪 I have an appt for an internal ultrasound day after tomorrow to find out what to do next. I just want it to stop because I'm so exhausted. I went to the gyn doc and she said a hysterectomy was in order, but we're going to do a biopsy first to make sure it's not cancerous while we're deciding the exact route to go. Thank you so much for sharing this. I have finally decided to see a gynecologist this Saturday. I've been suffering from painful periods, heavy bleeding since I was a teen. And now that I'm 30 and already have one kid, nothing has changed in my condition. The pressure I feel in my lower abdomen makes me want to frequently urinate and even if I do not have my period, I sometimes feel cramps. It's very uncomfortable and it scares me at the same time. My mother and aunt had hysterectomy many years ago due to fibroids so it probably runs in the family. It's really comforting to hear your experience, knowing that I'm not alone. It encourages me to seek medical help and hopefully my condition will get better. ❤️

Hi Karla - I’m so sorry you are having similar symptoms. I have to admit, the pill was of no use for me at all!! Did not control my heavy periods at all!! If you speak to your doctor, there’s other medications that can slowdown the blood loss. But I’m afraid this is all due to your fibroids and something has to be done in order for you to feel better❤️

It's hard but with the right treatment, there will be light at the end of the tunnel 🙏 It's been almost 1.5 years since I had my hysterectomy and I feel great. I feel normal, as can be. @@vilmasclosett I know all will go well and you will be back to making these wonderful videos soon after! And yes it's basically ulcers in the colon/rectum so you have to watch what foods you eat... GRAPHIC CONTENT... bloody diarrhea and lots of pain. Ive been through depression and in extreme fatigue where some days I couldn't even get out of bed. It sucks and is similar to crohns except crohns is worse you can have the ulcers in your entire digestive tract so starting from your mouth and ending in the rectum. Unfortunately no cures only treatments. I just started infusions that severely weaken my immune system so even just a cold and you cant get meds until youre better. I keep contracting an infection called c diff so I will have to get a stool transplant to try to replace all of the bacteria... and yeah it sucks lol. Sorry for the overload of info I guess I couldve just said google it lol but thanks for your support always. You have a subscriber & friend in me! ❤

Sweet Vilma. I think that one of the things that will definitely help you is that you are vocal about this situation. I went through something similar when I was 30. Something that helped me is asking lots of questions. I actually wrote all my questions in a notebook and forewarned the doctors that I needed answers. Also, educating yourself as much as possible. Make it your mission to find out as much as possible about treatments, and all kinds of therapy. Also, Ask as much as you can, should I see a specialist? What kind of specialist? Your health needs to be a priority even more now than ever. Don't be ashamed to cry And most of all in front of your doctor. She has the power to push things through. I made friends with mine And took her little gifts (scarfs, etc). Because I wanted them to see me as a friend And not just another case. And of course, most important are prayers. I will watch out for more info on your health in future videos. Please keep them coming.💐

l am fine now. I did have a hysterectomy back then, and was so relieved to finally not feel pain. Everyone's situation is unique and I think you are going in the right direction. O live in the US and did not have medical insurance at that time, so it was a difficult situation. Now I make that I'm insured. And way back then there wasn't internet available so I went to the public library to read as much as I could. I learned that (back then) there were several types of hysterectomy and that helped me decide with the doctor which one was best for me. My problem also was that my tumors were not easily visible so I went through months of uncertainty. And in a public hospital, though they are necessary, the nurses are understaffed, underpaid and overworked, I did not get (I felt) the consideration that I needed. I don't talk about it much, but since you asked there it is. I know that you are a smart lady and with the new technology and information available to you, you have a good chance to overcome this!
Lil TJ I'm sorry to hear that it was not easy for you. I can relate at not receiving consideration at the hospital....when I had my miscarriage, I was treated very well!! With a lot of respect and consideration. But when I had me C Section, once I left the recovery room, the nurses were horrible. Not compassionate at all. But we are strong WOMEN!! Same here. I’m meeting with a surgeon tomorrow to discuss hysterectomy. Your story is mine. The only thing I would say is your doctor should have presented you with options MUCH earlier. There are several procedures that are less invasive that work but you have to intervene earlier. I’ve had fibroids for 5 years and my doctor has been on me to do something for most of that time. She told me it would get worse, and it did. This year I had my first blood transfusion because of blood loss so I’m done and getting the surgery. My hemoglobin is 7 and I feel awful. Thank you for sharing Vilma. Women endure so much and we’re expected to remain steadfast, vigilant and smile but it’s all so draining. I am 39, will be 40 in September and I had 5 fibroids. I was severely anemic as in the single digits and vitamin d deficient as well. My periods were long, 8 days or more, and so heavy. In 2014 I started using the menstrual cup which was fantastic in helping to mitigate the accidents. I’d wear the hospital pads they put under you when you give birth just to avoid leaks. I also received two doctor’s opinions, three/four years ago and the suggestions ranged from the menopause option to full hysterectomy. I was not up for that and although I didn’t want any more children (my daughter is 12), I just didn’t want to go into early menopause. In February 2016, I opted to have the UAE (Uterine Artery Embolization) and it has been the BEST decision ever. Periods are lighter, shorter and pain free. I diagnosed with fibroids about 3 years ago, I always have heavy periods for 4 days and have spotting until 15 days. It’s so embarrassing, sometimes I feel ashamed about my husband but he understands me and supports me. I followed gynecologist she puts me on progesterone and other supplements but nothing improved, I changed it few months ago and the new one is processing some exams after that we will see what she can do for me to solve this issue. I did the same when I was going through this..I searched the web and omg so many other suffering just like me. It left me feeling that I was not alone...that i wasnt the only one... I had my surgery January 2019...I had a sub total hysterectomy...and instead of 5 fibroids, I had 20...they were everywhere!! I feel good and do not regret the surgery as my body could no longer handle the excess bleeding and pain.. I hope you get well soon x
starlite 77 mine was about the size of a marble. It’s been about 4 months since I found out the size and we decided to try birth control to help with my symptoms even though I don’t like birth control. But we found one they had minima side effects and after about a month on it, it has helped incredibly. My periods are “normal” now and I’m now constantly bleeding through everything. Also during your period the walls of your uterus start coming together and when they touch your body knows to stop bleeding. However my fibroid was directly between the walls so they couldn’t touch. My doctor said that it’s not the size they made my symptoms so horrible, it’s the placement. I hope you find some help, and please know you aren’t alone. 💖

Hello Vilma, listening to you made me emotional I cried hard its as if you were telling a story similar to mine the difference was the timing, am also in my early forties (42) march 7th when I found out I had fibroid was three years ago when I lost mine baby at thirteen weeks I was ready for another baby with my hubby, after holding off nine years of having my last child which two of mine pregnancies were through C- sections as well my doctor said i had a narrow hip she wont recommend I try for a normal birth, I didn't want to take chances. Fast forward to when I was ready to have more and it happened, my joy didn't last long it seemed. When I miscarried the doctor found out I had three big ones and small ones, but he said that was not the reason for losing my baby, during my blood work they had always told me I lacked iron, vitamin d and other medical terms mentioned I had been taking medications for this. Yes! Its been three years,but I still get emotional when I think of it which I find very hard as I hate to remember that word "there's no heartbeat) the nurse, and doctor held my hand when I couldn't control myself from the tears that gushed out, I feel you it breaks one's heart into a million pieces to have to go down that lane, I know, see you trying to hold it together by telling you story I thank you for your courage, and I love you more for it . Stay strong I shall remember you in my prayers it moves mountains I too know that, it kept me grounded when I nearly went crazy. Am yet to see to see a specialist as think here in Ireland we have similar medical issues about getting a specialist to see you, after your G.P recommends you, the waiting list is much they say hopefully this July as he made the call for me this April he gave me options, but thinks the specialist would be in a better position to tell me what way is best. I have heavy bleeding, wrenching pains that has me crying out and blood clumps as periods, this was never an issue for me before until when a year before I got pregnant, and afterwards. Am done trying for anymore children I notice it makes me depressed each time my period is late, and comes afterwards it saddens me to the point the disappointment is too much for me to bear , taking all the fertility drugs yet nothing my hubby says he can't bear to see me this way,I should let it go, maybe it isn't God's will. Ola Vilma, Thank you for sharing your story! I have watched a lot of these types of videos and I can relate a little bit with yours, even though it's a completely different story. Most women mention having had irregular periods before and I have never had problems with that, they are always on time and hard to miss as my periods have always been heavy. My last period went about quite normal, then when I thought it was almost over, I started bleeding very heavily, like nothing before. The strange thing was that I didn't feel any pain at all, but it was like a running tap. This went on for days and I was getting weaker and whiter by the day, also had an accident in public. After bleeding for 11 days I decided to go to the hospital. I live in Lisbon as a Dutch woman btw. The doctor examined me and told me I had 2 fibroids that were causing the bleeding and that I needed to have surgery. He also did a blood test because he suspected I was anemic, which was the case. I had to go on the pill immediately and come back two days later. The pill made me vomit extremely and as you can imagine I was feeling terrible, at least the bleeding had lessened and later finally stopped. When I came back to the hospital my blood was tested again and after getting the results I had to be hospitalized to get a blood transfusion because of severe anemia. This was 2 weeks ago and I feel much better now. A couple of days ago I had a better untrasound to check the fibroids and they are not too big and on the outside wall of my uterus. My doctor told me that no surgery is needed after all, and the strange part of it all: It probably did not cause the bleeding. The reason is unknown but as long as I keep taking the pill, it won't happen again. I have a check up in 3 months and maybe then I can try to quit the pill. Because the good part of the story, besides not needing surgery, is that the fibroids don't interfere with my firtility. I'm 37, so to still possibly have that option feels really good. I would be so blessed! So that's my story so far, it has been a rolercoaster but I'm so grateful that it turned out fine. I see in the comments that you by now have had the hysterectomy and I hope you are recovering well! An obGyn just told me it’s best to try to get pregnant without surgeries/interventions for fibroids. She said fibroids do not cause infertility. They cause other quality of life and health issues.

Wow! You have gone through so much! I feel for you! I'm going through this right now, I find there are no specialists for fibroids/hormones etc. I'm quite frustrated with the medical system. Every doctor wants to give me medication, I have seen a naturopath and have been on supplements for 6 months. It has helped somewhat, but I got a DVT blood clot in my leg in August thanks to my gynecologist putting me on birth control. I came across a few patients that have linked fibroids to blood clots in leg etc. I have been prescribed transamenic acid to slow the bleeding down / for pain BUT I shouldn't have to use medication. I was anemic as well, I cannot sleep on my right side where my fibroid is & not on my left side because of my blood clot & then my bladder is in overdrive because of the pressure on my uterus from my fibroid. I have lost hair as well. I have a few fibroids, one is 8cm and I'm tired. At this point I'm ready for a hysterectomy or to go vegetarian.

My only frustration is for other women who are suffering and it seems many doctors use hysterectomy as a quick fix. I'm 53 years old thought I was going through menopause cuz I've always had real heavy periods where I needed super plus tampons and pads and I would have to change massive of them within like an hour huge blood clots. Anyways to now my period has been going for 16 days straight so I went to the doctor and they did an ultrasound and found fibroids and are telling me to get a hysterectomy and it's kind of freaking me out.

Only scary thing was, when I got home from the hospital 3 days later, my husband had caught a cold, so i ended up catching it. Coughing and sneezing was soooo scary because I had to get the c-section cut due to my uterus being enlarged. However, i got thru it and am so mad at myself for waiting so long.

Hi...I'm so sorry you have been going through this at such a young age. My surgery bleeding started at the in 2018. I am less than 2 weeks away from having my hysterectomy surgery. Unfortunately, this is the only option for me as I no longer want to have children. I need a better quality of life as this past year has been terrible health wise. You may need to consider a few options as the bleeding for me only got worse and not better due to the fibroids. Stay strong and also take good care of yourself. 🤗

I had same problem and had to have a total abdominal hysterectomy! It was the best thing next to having my daughters I,ve ever done! I felt like a reborn woman! Here is 2022 my fibroids are at its worse. Same symptoms I have two kids don’t want anymore children. Throughout my20's I had several large fibroids fist sized. My largest the size of a newborn babe at 7lbs. I also experienced the horrible pain and extremely heavy bleeding. I've always had a heavy cycle. My fibroids unfortunately are hereditary. I did see several doctors and finally found a gynecologist that have me a myomectomy. That surgery went well. I still have my uterus. I don't have any kids. Fast forward to end of last year.. 😔 4 fibroids have grown back... They are small. I pray that they stay that way. Oh my gosh gorgeous, me too. I didn’t get any relief until I had the surgery. I will be 47 and I had this issue since I had my second child. You’re right, the doctors didn’t do anything until my CA125 numbers were so high they thought I had ovarian cancer. Yes, anemia, but D efficiency, pain, bloating, and my daughter has the same issues as well. We have the same hair and mine is thinning and shedding as well. I’m in the US but I’m your sista from another mister. 😂

This sounds like me currently. I had a tubal removal after my second child and I gained a lot of weight about the weight gain was causing my irregular periods got on Phentermine lost 30 my hair started breaking off and thinning I thought that it could possibly be from the Phentermine then I found out that I was pre-diabetic and now I am having my period for it's been about 30 days now and the clocks are bigger than a quarter size did an ultrasound found that I had some very small fibroids so my doctor put me on birth control but the bleeding has not stopped I've had this happen three other times in the past and I just took vitamins and extra iron and it stopped but this time it's not working

How much bleeding did you have I have 4 fibroids 5 years ago I'm now going on 47 but of recent on the second day of period it felt like faucet turned on with clots size of my fist had to go to the ER I had blood transfusion the 2 times. Hi Vilma. I found out I had fibroids four years ago (I'm 46.) I have some of the symptoms you've mentioned: anemia and heavy periods. Interestingly, I didn't associate these symptoms with fibroids until I was diagnosed. I'm wondering how you're doing today? I'm going through the same situation! Was told 3 years ago i had 5 fibroid tumors and to monitor them. Then covid happened. I've been on a very heavy period nonstop for what feels like forever!!(7 weeks straight, then about a 10-day break, now on again, this week will be 4 weeks straight!) It's unbearable, feel like I can't leave my home, accidents 3-4 times/day! Going through multiple boxes of girlie products per week! I went to the gyn doc and she said a hysterectomy was in order, but we're going to do a biopsy first to make sure it's not cancerous while we're deciding the exact route to go. Thank you so much for sharing this. I have finally decided to see a gynecologist this Saturday. I've been suffering from painful periods, heavy bleeding since I was a teen. And now that I'm 30 and already have one kid, nothing has changed in my condition. The pressure I feel in my lower abdomen makes me want to frequently urinate and even if I do not have my period, I sometimes feel cramps. It's very uncomfortable and it scares me at the same time. My mother and aunt had hysterectomy many years ago due to fibroids so it probably runs in the family. It's really comforting to hear your experience, knowing that I'm not alone. If you speak to your doctor, there’s other medications that can slowdown the blood loss. But I’m afraid this is all due to your fibroids and something has to be done in order for you to feel better❤️

@@vilmasclosett I know all will go well and you will be back to making these wonderful videos soon after! And yes it's basically ulcers in the colon/rectum so you have to watch what foods you eat... GRAPHIC CONTENT... bloody diarrhea and lots of pain. Ive been through depression and in extreme fatigue where some days I couldn't even get out of bed. It sucks and is similar to crohns except crohns is worse you can have the ulcers in your entire digestive tract so starting from your mouth and ending in the rectum. Unfortunately no cures only treatments. I just started infusions that severely weaken my immune system so even just a cold and you cant get meds until youre better. I keep contracting an infection called c diff so I will have to get a stool transplant to try to replace all of the bacteria... and yeah it sucks lol. Sorry for the overload of info I guess I couldve just said google it lol but thanks for your support always. You have a subscriber & friend in me! ❤

Sweet Vilma. I think that one of the things that will definitely help you is that you are vocal about this situation. I went through something similar when I was 30. Something that helped me is asking lots of questions. I actually wrote all my questions in a notebook and forewarned the doctors that I needed answers. Also, educating yourself as much as possible. Make it your mission to find out as much as possible about treatments, and all kinds of therapy. Also, Ask as much as you can, should I see a specialist? What kind of specialist? Your health needs to be a priority even more now than ever. Don't be ashamed to cry And most of all in front of your doctor. She has the power to push things through. I made friends with mine And took her little gifts (scarfs, etc). Because I wanted them to see me as a friend And not just another case. And of course, most important are prayers. I will watch out for more info on your health in future videos. Please keep them coming.💐

l am fine now. I did have a hysterectomy back then, and was so relieved to finally not feel pain. Everyone's situation is unique and I think you are going in the right direction. O live in the US and did not have medical insurance at that time, so it was a difficult situation. Now I make that I'm insured. And way back then there wasn't internet available so I went to the public library to read as much as I could. I learned that (back then) there were several types of hysterectomy and that helped me decide with the doctor which one was best for me. My problem also was that my tumors were not easily visible so I went through months of uncertainty. And in a public hospital, though they are necessary, the nurses are understaffed, underpaid and overworked, I did not get (I felt) the consideration that I needed. I don't talk about it much, but since you asked there it is. I know that you are a smart lady and with the new technology and information available to you, you have a good chance to overcome this!

With a lot of respect and consideration. But when I had me C Section, once I left the recovery room, the nurses were horrible. Not compassionate at all. But we are strong WOMEN!! I found out i had fibroids during my 8 week ultrasound scan when was pregnant with my son nearly four years ago. I had an open myomectomy 3 months postpartum because the I couldn't here the bleeding. Same here. I’m meeting with a surgeon tomorrow to discuss hysterectomy. Your story is mine. The only thing I would say is your doctor should have presented you with options MUCH earlier. There are several procedures that are less invasive that work but you have to intervene earlier. I’ve had fibroids for 5 years and my doctor has been on me to do something for most of that time. She told me it would get worse, and it did. This year I had my first blood transfusion because of blood loss so I’m done and getting the surgery. My hemoglobin is 7 and I feel awful. I am 39, will be 40 in September and I had 5 fibroids. I was severely anemic as in the single digits and vitamin d deficient as well. My periods were long, 8 days or more, and so heavy. In 2014 I started using the menstrual cup which was fantastic in helping to mitigate the accidents. I’d wear the hospital pads they put under you when you give birth just to avoid leaks. I also received two doctor’s opinions, three/four years ago and the suggestions ranged from the menopause option to full hysterectomy. I was not up for that and although I didn’t want any more children (my daughter is 12), I just didn’t want to go into early menopause. In February 2016, I opted to have the UAE (Uterine Artery Embolization) and it has been the BEST decision ever. Periods are lighter, shorter and pain free. I diagnosed with fibroids about 3 years ago, I always have heavy periods for 4 days and have spotting until 15 days. It’s so embarrassing, sometimes I feel ashamed about my husband but he understands me and supports me. I followed gynecologist she puts me on progesterone and other supplements but nothing improved, I changed it few months ago and the new one is processing some exams after that we will see what she can do for me to solve this issue. I had my surgery January 2019...I had a sub total hysterectomy...and instead of 5 fibroids, I had 20...they were everywhere!!
I feel good and do not regret the surgery as my body could no longer handle the excess bleeding and pain..

How big was your fibroid? Mine is 11.5cm and I like you I have excessive bleeding during my cycle and cramps outside of my cycle.
starlite 77 mine was about the size of a marble. It’s been about 4 months since I found out the size and we decided to try birth control to help with my symptoms even though I don’t like birth control. But we found one they had minima side effects and after about a month on it, it has helped incredibly. My periods are “normal” now and I’m now constantly bleeding through everything. Also during your period the walls of your uterus start coming together and when they touch your body knows to stop bleeding. However my fibroid was directly between the walls so they couldn’t touch. My doctor said that it’s not the size they made my symptoms so horrible, it’s the placement. I hope you find some help, and please know you aren’t alone. 💖

Hello Vilma, listening to you made me emotional I cried hard its as if you were telling a story similar to mine the difference was the timing, am also in my early forties (42) march 7th when I found out I had fibroid was three years ago when I lost mine baby at thirteen weeks I was ready for another baby with my hubby, after holding off nine years of having my last child which two of mine pregnancies were through C- sections as well my doctor said i had a narrow hip she wont recommend I try for a normal birth, I didn't want to take chances. Fast forward to when I was ready to have more and it happened, my joy didn't last long it seemed. When I miscarried the doctor found out I had three big ones and small ones, but he said that was not the reason for losing my baby, during my blood work they had always told me I lacked iron, vitamin d and other medical terms mentioned I had been taking medications for this. Yes! Its been three years,but I still get emotional when I think of it which I find very hard as I hate to remember that word "there's no heartbeat) the nurse, and doctor held my hand when I couldn't control myself from the tears that gushed out, I feel you it breaks one's heart into a million pieces to have to go down that lane, I know, see you trying to hold it together by telling you story I thank you for your courage, and I love you more for it . Stay strong I shall remember you in my prayers it moves mountains I too know that, it kept me grounded when I nearly went crazy. Am yet to see to see a specialist as think here in Ireland we have similar medical issues about getting a specialist to see you, after your G.P recommends you, the waiting list is much they say hopefully this July as he made the call for me this April he gave me options, but thinks the specialist would be in a better position to tell me what way is best. I have heavy bleeding, wrenching pains that has me crying out and blood clumps as periods, this was never an issue for me before until when a year before I got pregnant, and afterwards. Am done trying for anymore children I notice it makes me depressed each time my period is late, and comes afterwards it saddens me to the point the disappointment is too much for me to bear , taking all the fertility drugs yet nothing my hubby says he can't bear to see me this way,I should let it go, maybe it isn't God's will. Ola Vilma, Thank you for sharing your story! I have watched a lot of these types of videos and I can relate a little bit with yours, even though it's a completely different story. Most women mention having had irregular periods before and I have never had problems with that, they are always on time and hard to miss as my periods have always been heavy. My last period went about quite normal, then when I thought it was almost over, I started bleeding very heavily, like nothing before. The strange thing was that I didn't feel any pain at all, but it was like a running tap. This went on for days and I was getting weaker and whiter by the day, also had an accident in public. After bleeding for 11 days I decided to go to the hospital. I live in Lisbon as a Dutch woman btw. The doctor examined me and told me I had 2 fibroids that were causing the bleeding and that I needed to have surgery. He also did a blood test because he suspected I was anemic, which was the case. I had to go on the pill immediately and come back two days later. The pill made me vomit extremely and as you can imagine I was feeling terrible, at least the bleeding had lessened and later finally stopped. When I came back to the hospital my blood was tested again and after getting the results I had to be hospitalized to get a blood transfusion because of severe anemia. This was 2 weeks ago and I feel much better now. A couple of days ago I had a better untrasound to check the fibroids and they are not too big and on the outside wall of my uterus. My doctor told me that no surgery is needed after all, and the strange part of it all: It probably did not cause the bleeding. The reason is unknown but as long as I keep taking the pill, it won't happen again. I have a check up in 3 months and maybe then I can try to quit the pill. Because the good part of the story, besides not needing surgery, is that the fibroids don't interfere with my firtility. I'm 37, so to still possibly have that option feels really good. I would be so blessed! So that's my story so far, it has been a rolercoaster but I'm so grateful that it turned out fine. I see in the comments that you by now have had the hysterectomy and I hope you are recovering well! Yes, I have had my surgery januart 2019. I have done a video update ua-cam.com/video/UOkV3s5NhXU/v-deo.html just last week. I'm doing pretty well and my life has almost gone back to normal. I'm on a different path and journey. I know cant have more children but my lil one is a blessing after all the pain I was going through!!

An obGyn just told me it’s best to try to get pregnant without surgeries/interventions for fibroids. She said fibroids do not cause infertility. They cause other quality of life and health issues.

Wow! You have gone through so much! I feel for you! I'm going through this right now, I find there are no specialists for fibroids/hormones etc. I'm quite frustrated with the medical system. Every doctor wants to give me medication, I have seen a naturopath and have been on supplements for 6 months. It has helped somewhat, but I got a DVT blood clot in my leg in August thanks to my gynecologist putting me on birth control. I came across a few patients that have linked fibroids to blood clots in leg etc. I have been prescribed transamenic acid to slow the bleeding down / for pain BUT I shouldn't have to use medication. I was anemic as well, I cannot sleep on my right side where my fibroid is & not on my left side because of my blood clot & then my bladder is in overdrive because of the pressure on my uterus from my fibroid. I have lost hair as well. I have a few fibroids, one is 8cm and I'm tired. At this point I'm ready for a hysterectomy or to go vegetarian.

My only frustration is for other women who are suffering and it seems many doctors use hysterectomy as a quick fix. When I know now that we must look at our healing at 360 degree level, more natural methods, holistically, especially the emotional and diet. 🙏💖🕊🌈💐😇

I requested to see a gynecologist last week and I've been told I've got 10cm size, large enough for a surgery. I've got 2 kids, might do hysterectomy.

I'm 53 years old thought I was going through menopause cuz I've always had real heavy periods where I needed super plus tampons and pads and I would have to change massive of them within like an hour huge blood clots. Anyways to now my period has been going for 16 days straight so I went to the doctor and they did an ultrasound and found fibroids and are telling me to get a hysterectomy and it's kind of freaking me out.

@@mariamyupperz7614 hi Maria, giiiirl BEST DECISION EVER!!!! It went very well. I didn't have any issues at all. Pain was bearable. Only scary thing was, when I got home from the hospital 3 days later, my husband had caught a cold, so i ended up catching it. Coughing and sneezing was soooo scary because I had to get the c-section cut due to my uterus being enlarged. However, i got thru it and am so mad at myself for waiting so long.

I’m getting my 4th surgery Wednesday. But I feel your pain, even lost a relationship over it. But it gets better there are ways to help my dr suggested gluten free/ and alkaline diet which has help with the pain and flare ups even shrunk some of the smaller ones Also therapy helps with going through the process and feelings. sending you lots for good vibes and energy girl! Hang in there!
