My T-Mobile home internet would barely work in my house so I put it in my truck, I’ve had it in my truck for a year and no problems. You got the new one, I still got the old one
It’s great to see someone is finally providing a service for our truckers this little device will help keep truckers connected to family and friends awesome stuff right here be safe trucker keep the shiny side up and the rubber down gods speed to you
For the price point on this I might switch to this as well. The only thing that is tough to look at is the PING number which can greatly affect latency with gaming and such, but if that's not your thing then this is great! Outstanding video!
I was just gonna say those pings are in the 100's of milliseconds. My OpenWRT router on Tmobile unlimited prepaid plan is always between 20-30 ms which is fine for gaming, and speeds between 300-600 Mbps.
@@TheLoneWolfTrucker Im sure they have different packages Im thinking of the download if something needs updated but if video is really good then itll probably be alright
T-Mobile offered it and i jumped in. Big mistake, i get no similar speeds like Lone Wolf, it's slow as molasses, with 3 close by towers. It will freeze just watching UA-cam
I heard that t mobile is gonna lock the home internet so like lets say u out of texas u gonna be able to use it only in texas so something like state locked
Is it just a simple plug in like do you have to just plug in the device to an outlet or do you have to screw it in one of those internet outlet things like you do with regular home internet?
Do I have to set this up with my internet at home first and then bring it out to my truck and do I have to have some type of service with T Mobile already?
How do you hook it up asides from the power cable ? Isnt there a internet cable you have to hook up? I don't understand how you have home internet in a mobile truck
I had it and it was locked up driving around with it. I had to go with the 100 gb hotspot which is crap it should be unlimited too. They are around the same price.
I started looking into this as a possibility but found many articles stating that T Mobile changed to an Away plan that costs $160/month to use away from home area, or $110/ month for a 200 GB/ month data cap. Has this affected your account at all or are they enforcing this?
It still works for you?, you can use it while the truck is moving?, and, you just need to connect it to electricity and it's ready to use?. Thank you very much for the video!
That's great. But how do you hook it up. My truck has the cable screw in and my home routers are, ormal with wall plug ins. So is it that easy? Plug my routers in the outlet amd screw the cable in? Someone please let me know.
@@TheLoneWolfTrucker ok. I was wondering because I have spectrum internet at home. So if I can just hook what they gave me up to my truck, that would be fantastic.
I wanted to get one of these for the truck after running into another driver with it. However, t-mobile doesn’t offer it in the area of my home address 🥲.
@TheLoneWolfTrucker the gateway is unlimited though for same price. I go through 100gbs in 3 to 4 days, lol. There are work arounds to get one and you can pick it up in store. Just go through online process to find an address that works. It's way better than some hotspot device I'm seeing well over 100mbs down and 50+ upload regularly..
I believe T-Mobile cap the speeds on the home internet devices. When I got the service a year ago I was getting 1gb speeds now I can’t go over 500mb. It’s still enough for what I do. I just find it odd.
Even if they don't cap it, overselling it to too many people will cap it automatically due to congestion. It's the same with all carriers, the difference is that some manage it better than others.

Which OpenWRT router do you use, I'm looking to get wifi on my truck to download games and update devices, maybe some online gaming.
Thanks for your insights. Preciate ya.

Plug-N-Play
That’s really cool normally modems and routers need a coax connection but if you’re able to plug this in play, that’s actually pretty bad ass
Do I have to set this up with my internet at home first and then bring it out to my truck and do I have to have some type of service with T Mobile already?
Set it up at your address first. No you don’t need to be an existing customer.
@@TheLoneWolfTrucker Copy that thanks.

Haven’t experienced that issue however I have both products
How does it work when your out in the boonies?
Depends on the signal quality

$50 monthly no change

@@johnran6015 if your home address isn’t within the qualifying map coverage area for T-Mobile home internet then they won’t.

do they charge Roaming fee while you move across US ?

Check and see if Verizon offers it in your area. I don't know if it is capable of mobile operation
You can get the MiFi mobile version (100Gigs for $50 per month)
Just give them a different address.. its not GeoFenced.. I have one through my business acct and one for home address.. try mom's or friends etc..

the worse thing t mobile could ever do is take away the ability for this to be mobile...
if they do they will loose alot of people

Even if they don't take it away completely but throttle or deprioritize it for those away from their home address.
Does anyone can tell me if it’s working in Canada I want to know cause I go in Canada and in US
Check the coverage map on T-mobile’s website
Is it still working?
Yea I also want to know
Been working fine for over a year now

Depends on the 5G coverage signals
T mobile home internet gateway IS NOT allowed to be mobile. Has to be used in your listed home address.

Just keep wifi calling turned off on all devices

So why not just use the hotspot on your cell phone?
