    Would like to share with anyone that may share what I went through. Very long story short, had high BP most of my life - was a body builder when younger 6’ and 250lbs - my BP really didn’t care my weight was muscle. Jump ahead 20 years, I lost about 50 lbs - went to 175lbs - thin & fit. BP for the first time was normal. Moved across county - super busy and gained 20 lbs. Felt sick for 2 months. Headaches, confusion, neck & back pain / felt like I was dying & hopeless. Didn’t occur to me BP - yep, checked it and it was 160/120. Took an old BP pill from years ago and felt incredible within a few hours. Really can sneak up on you when not paying attention. I assume when I drop the 20lbs will goto normal again based on history, but I will never go a week without checking it.

    I had a high blood pressure for a very long time. My house doctor didn't tell me how serious it was, although I was having a panic attack, sleeplessness and heavy breading, even when urination. Later, he went on retirement.
    As his son took over the clinic from him, he told me that my blood pressure was reading 200/90. I hate his father, since then.He put me on medication immediately. Apart from the three symptoms mentioned above, I didn't notice any other one symptoms. I feel better now.

    I like the funny add-ins you did.
    Another important thing about high BP is the damage it can do to your kidneys. Or if the person is already having kidney failure, not necessarily ESRD, they can have those super high BPs or even super low.

      Thank you, I was in a nostalgic movie mode. Yup one of the first things I do in younger hypertensives is to check renal function and sometimes refer to renal to rule out renal artery stenosis.
      Oh no, hope ur feeling better soon. We’ve all just had a cough/sore throat thanks to the little one collecting all the lurgies from nursery 🙄

      so generally it shouldnt bleed from gargling - unless you did a crazy good job of it! With some sore throats you can get so much inflammation that a blood vessel can burst. but should be one time thing, if its ongoing best to get it looked at

    Hi Khalid.. I am a student in york england and i am 24 years old. 60kg and my blood pressure is around 128/81 (elevated). I have struggled with anxiety and panic attacks since I was 16 years old due to ptsd as a child. I try to reduce my anxiety as much as possible but it has never and I dont think will ever go away completely. I believe maybe it is contributing to my higher blood pressure? I do not go outside alot and it could possibly be that too. My question is if I can get it to normal levels again after diet and exercise for afew months or year.. can it stay normal forever then? is elevated/high blood pressure irreversible?

    • @doctorkhalid
      @doctorkhalid  Рік тому +4

      Hey Nicole, certainly stress and anxiety can push up our blood pressure. The key is to find a way to balance things with mindfullness/exercise/meditation and healthy diet. If that is kept up then it can certainly help lower BP in the long term and it is not irreversible in most cases. Good luck!

    • @RoughGekko
      @RoughGekko 11 місяців тому

      I am not a doctor, but a bp of around 128/81 is in the normal range. What makes you think that this is high?. I suggest that you check out the average ranges for your age group.
