As of right now, the bad cat website no longer shows it as an amp they’re making. For the people who have been on pre order for over a year, I really think they should put some kind of news out about it. Sheesh.
Did you ever receive the amp? Wondering how you like it and why they would discontinue it if the demand is such that folks are willing to wait a year.
@@hardtail_haole9676never got it… lost out on 200 dollars I used on the preorder with guitar center. When I was finally told they weren’t going to be able to fulfill the preorder, gear card rewards had expired. Pretty disappointing.

This may be the amp I need for trips to our vacation home. Do the replacement tubes required biasing? Can it work as a desktop stereo with a Bluetooth adapter?
Nice demo but just a couple of things to note:
1. I'd like to hear what the DI out sounds like.
2. Do the internal speakers get muted when you're driving an external cab?
You can mute the internal speakers with a small switch under the handle
I am waiting for mine ..2 weeks, hopefully. Owned a katana air.. sold it, not comparable with stereo effects on my board. Bought a thr30ii... it’s great but not compatible with my stereo effect, struggle with drive pedals.. stereo line out but not stereo line in.. so if I want to mess around with hx stomp amps I am locked into mono.
I have high hopes for this unit as an all around tool kit that sounds great at low volumes and that can handle all of my front end and back end effects to full potential.. and I can do it organically with tubes or it has all stereo in and output if I want digital mayhem in stereo... also I can add cabs and LOUD... please badcat.... let this be the versatile little amp I have been waiting for....
What axes as the jam track volume? As in getting the mix right from your guitar and the I pad or what ever you are using?
Any chances on doing this with the Classic Pro?
Silly question perhaps, but can the input jack of the Paw accept a stereo signal? Say if I want to feed a dual delay into the input jack, would the true stereo effect resound from the speakers, or would this stereo effect only work if it's engaged via the Paw's stereo effects loop?
Has anyone experience with these? How does the solid state power amp feel vs a tube one would? Really interested in this amp, seems like a great concept

Hey there, can I just clarify something which I heard you mention during the video; are the speaker outs a L and R stereo pair, or are they just mono in parallel? In particular I’m thinking about when you were using stereo delay, but you only had the one cab connected. As it happens by hand wired Marshall 4x12 can be split into a stereo pair with a switch, or co8ld use two cabinets. As this is not a tube power amp section, what impedance combinations for cabinets can this thing drive? Finally, can’t get any stock in UK at moment - appreciate COVID has screwed lots of things up, but any idea when stock will be available in UK? Thanks
How does the K-Master knob work with a digital power section? My understanding is that on a tube amp it changes the relationship between the pre-amp and the power amp to allow for saturating the power amp while keeping the volume down. How are you "saturating" a digital amp?

In my opinion, these amps are the best. Verve but nice. Just like Bumble Bee, if you know what I mean.

Fantastic amp! Can you get a dry/wet signal coming out separately from each speaker (for example, dry on the right speaker and wet on the left)?
I'm hoping for a clear answer on this too. I assume that the stereo fx returns get sent separately in stereo to the two speaker outputs, but that's not clear.
Found the manual on their website. Short answer = yes. Effects running into loop 1 go to speaker 1 (and extension speaker 1, XLR 1, headphone left, etc) and loop 2 feeds speaker 2, et al. So according to that, seems like you can run completely different effects through each side to achieve stereo or wet dry or whatever.

Is the size airplane cabin friendly?
Is it possible to run an external cab and XLR to a PA with cab sim on the XLR but not on the speaker outs? I have a bad feeling that the IR is a global on/off setting, but surely most people won’t want a cab sim on their real cab?
I cannot get mine to sound good with a Strat. Do y'all have upgrades for gain available or tube swaps for higher gain? I find the gain is just way to low . I did get some more with 4x12 Its from Own hammer but would like to be a bit more tough.
I found a tip in the gearpage thread on the paw. It seems like it prefers 24 bit 500ms 48kHz IRs. Try those! I have a Paw incoming although I'm definitely a low/mid gain player,
When is the Paw going to be back in stock?
Any recommendations on a case for the Paw? At 15x7x8 it's begging to hop on a plane with me, but those aren't really standard dimensions for amp cases. Maybe a telescope or camera case would work?

It's a guitar amp, so yes, it does.
I noticed the IR was still on when plugged into the 4x12. Does it automatically shut off when using a cab? Or are you supposed to use the IR? This product looks great!
You can turn the IR on or off with the decoder just by pressing it down. It will read zero when off. I usually leave it on , it has some pretty cool effect on certain speaker cabs.
Are the IRs active with the built in speakers?
yes they are
They are but you can bypass them if you just want to hear the built-in speakers.
The Paw is showing as discontinued on the Bad Cat site . That was a short lived Product ? It seems Bad Cat is in the process of developing new Amp . But, not a lot of Info, on what is forthcoming ? 🤔

Is the paw self biased
Whatever happened to this product, aside from the pandemic that is? I'd like a boutique desktop amplifier, something with a ported cabinet to fill the room but can plug into a cabinet for practise with a band.
pity they forgot a foot switch jack for reverb on/off

Received The Paw also 4 weeks ago. And correct I'm smell singing wood. But mine still is working. I'm very satisfied with the concept of the Paw but now I'm concerned. I did not had the change to use the Paw a lot. In total 10 hours. Not continue. Max 2 hours. How long did you used the Paw? Total hours? Maximum. And I did not used the Paw with extern speakers. Did you?

I usually used it for 1-3 hours per day and always with either internal speakers or headphones/line out to RNHP - never with external speakers.
@@RaxFx Because of Covid I do not have rehearsed or gigs. But these is tricky. So I will not sell my Blu-amp for the moment. I hope Badcat will come with an answer. After Christmas I will send this issue to Badcat.For the moment all my concentration is to complete the Beef Wellington. XMAS
@@Dutchimage1 the problem has been identified and does not affect all amps. The new batch has a new transformer which should solve the problem - I'm sure they can help you out.

In germany 800+€. I pass on this and just safe up for a hotcat :/. Too much for a versatile practice amp. Love the brand tons tho :))
Why call it a practice amp? It can be used live with a cabinet or run into the pa using the IR’s. Pretty versatile for the price.

Unfortunately, Bad Cat has some of the worst costumer service in the industry. Hopefully a paying customer won't have to deal with Bad Cat C.S.as they do not value them.
