    Sounds lovely. I'm pretty sure I'm not your target market though. Totally changing out my rig in 2020. Goodbye back-breaking Marshall ... Hello Strymon Iridium! Yep. Going direct through the PA for live performance. Honestly ... I'm just tired of moving gear so starting last year we (the band) started chipping away and scaling down ... well everything. Started with our PA and lights. Backline is next on the list. That said ... this amp does sound really good. Thanks for posting.

      @@jaydenfriesen Thanks so much, Jayden. I noticed the smaller physical size of the amp after my post. My bad. I'll have to give it a test drive. It's kind of cool knowing that it will power a cabinet or two if/when there is an opportunity. Thanks again.

    This looks very interesting and the price point isn't bad if it is well made in USA, sounds great and has the lifetime warranty. Certainly fits a niche for desktop recording and i see the aux in to maybe play along with backing tracks as a plus. The concern i have is whether there will be a long term commitment to maintain and update software for the IRs. Looking forward to seeing more information about his little cat.

    • @laurensbronsveld
      @laurensbronsveld 4 роки тому +1

      You can load in IRs via USB C. I don't know if they'll keep updating it, but you can get IRs from different places of course. So it basically has the capability to always be up to date with the current tech.

      There is a conversation going on about this very topic on thegearpage (with John from Bad Cat and another employee I believe). I believe it's basically this: you can turn the IR on or off. If you hook it up via an XLR to FOH it doesn't go through the speakers.
      Here's the link, so you can follow the still ongoing conversation:

    • @Toquelibre

      It's all relative to what each individual thinks. I look at it this way, How much do we spend every 3 to 4 years on Smartphones? Mine cost me over a $1000 and it will probably become obsolete in 4 years. With an all tube amp like this, you can always sell it if you want something else and you won't loose as much.
