Awesome, great job! I like your freehand skills, no need to be coy. Banners, hoofprints and shields lift the wohle thing up, even more. Great attention to detail - and MOSSSSS :- )
😍 love it 😍 looks amazing! I’ve seen people stick clay to cardboard by putting PVA glue down first, not sure if it works for foam but you never know lol.
Yea it might have, I think foam just isn't porous enough for the clay to bond with. But you live and learn, and find another way. I always feel like it's as much about finding a method as it is about knowing a method.
Suddenly, I can be at a Renaissance Faire by watching you create this diorama! I truly enjoy your work! Thank you very much for sharing you talent! Lisa
I think you did great on the banners! The edging of grass was just the right amount too. Very nice. Tells a story. You should try doing another diorama!
Cheers 👍🏻 All terrain should tell a story, even if it's just a little story 🙂 I may try more in the future as long as I can make them useful thanks for watching
to get clay to adhere to anything you must wet the surface first. To prevent clay from cracking mix in a bit of PVA ( this will also help it stick. you can also super glue clay. I sculpt a lot so I have a good knowledge of various clays. Mel the Terrain Tutor does a whole video on how to use DAS air dry clay worth a look as clay can be very versatile once you get used to it That's where I learned about it
@@irongryphon I've been binging your channel. Getting lots of great ideas for techniques and projects. Can't wait to post my inspired-by-yours builds to Instagram.
The wash I use is Vallejo wash (black and brown). As for doing something differently, maybe a fancier looking tilt barrier down the middle. I've since seen nicer designs but I was under a time constraint and wanted to get it finished for the competition 😅
To be honest my fingernails are usually grubby 😅 a mixture of crafting, painting and my full-time job generally leaves me with plaster, ink, paint, washes and everything else under my nails 😅
Fantastic job, bravoooo, love it, please do more dioramas
Thanks bud 🙂👍🏻 I may do a few more in future if I have room for them 😅
Great result. It looks very realistic. Love the steps of the horses in the ground
Thanks I'm glad they look good, since I had to switch from clay to filler to make the ground texture 👍🏻😅
Awesome, great job!

Thanks dude 🙂 hopefully the competition judges are as kind to me 👍🏻😬
Gotta add the mosssss 🤤

Dude, I think the freehanding looks great :) Love the scratch build and the hoofprints are a nice touch.
Thanks mate 👍🏻 the freehand took a while 😅 I don't have the steadiest hand and making them look the same was pretty essential
I agree.

Thank you Lisa that's very sweet of you to say🙂👍🏻 I'm very glad that you enjoyed it
Looks excellent! Nice job on the banners. Good luck in the competition.
Thanks very much, hopefully I'll do okay in the competition 🙂👍🏻

For the clay part, a layer of white glue tends to work rather well, most clays don't stick that well and you need something to attach them.
I'll bare that in mind, cheers dude 👍🏻😬
Fun little build. The hoof prints are a nice touch
It's those little details that really sell a build 👌🏻😬
Holy f*ck. The hoof prints, the golden liseré(?) on the banner. This piece is gold, and you're a genious ;)
Thanks dude 👍🏻😅 those hoof prints add alot to an otherwise boring floor 😬

I'll try that next time 😅
This is cool. I know this one's a diorama but I can totally see making a more modular jousting arena with some stands and so forth.
Absolutely 🙂 just a shame I was limited to the size I could use for this piece 😅
I would love to do this in 1/6 for my Marx Knights
Nice work!
Cheers dude 👍🏻🙂 thank you for watching
Another great piece, my friend. Very cool! 👍🏻
Thanks very much 👍🏻😀 I don't do dioramas much, but I like this one
Très joli diorama 👍👍👍
Merci beaucoup 🙂👍🏻
Fantastic
Thanks so much 👍🏻😀
looks amazing
Thanks dude 👍🏻🙂
magnificent build great video and content
Thanks, it's something a bit different from my usual stuff, so I appreciate the feedback 👍🏻🙂
The hoof prints are inspired!
Thanks dude 😁 it's all about those fine details

Thank you kindly good sir 🙂
Lovely work mate looks gold

Yer awesome I really engoy and find yer content very useful.
Thanks Larry 👍🏻 glad I could inspire you a little 🙂
Thats an awesome piece. Gorgeous! Could be a fun little side thing for your players...Maybe they get a quest at the joust?
I'm sure the paladin would step up 😅👍🏻

Awesome work as usual :)
Cheers bud 👍🏻😬 any excuse to use those old brets 😅
I like the Intro!
Excellent 🙂 thank you. I experimented with a few different ones, but this one seemed most popular with my focus group 😅
Wow. Expertly done! What type of wash did you use? Alcohol based? Also, is there anything you would have done differently?

@@irongryphon Did you use any additional glue for a fixing the tilt barrier to the base, or did the filler suffice?
It's nice to see someone with clean fingernails!! Lol
