I don’t want be a naysayer on the tuned Venturi’s being removed from the airbox but this was a very popular mod on high performance snowmobile engines for years but it was proven time and time again that it reduced intake velocity and power. The flow of air gets dirty in the airbox.
Just finished a 2500 mile ride and still can't get enough of this bike. So I look for Cuban. Nice work, mine is all stock cuz I ain't no mechanic. Looking forward to your track days.
the q3s need to be heated up to have grip, they're hard and slick cold. The bridgestones warm up fast and have better cold grip. Drop the PSI on the q3s they like to be run low. I used to run mine 30F 28R
That wheelie at the start is insaneeee, also interesting to see how easy it is to change the airfilter on a bike that the service is in excess of 500 bucks for lol, makes you think, I know my ninja 650 needs tank removal, old Yamaha needed pretty much all fairings removed and then the fuel tank cover, then the actual fuel tank and then it was way down there, Also do you wheelie with DTC on? That's maaad leaving an s1000RR behind like that while wheelieing in his face lol
Hey Cuban, sold my fjr 1300 last night . I am not touring and also hurt my back no more 650 lb bike. Now it’s xr shopping time . Sounds like me on a sv with clipons on track so alien . Have fun . Just realized been riding from 2004 and I am slow. I use tdj Facebook group to get track gear .i fin q4 on the sv and they are glued.think it’s the power .
Great channel! Don't use Dunlops tires they are slick. Especially when your tread depth gets down below 40%. That's my experience anyways, I use Michelin or Bridgstone. Stay safe, keep the videos coming.
Hello, I put the catalyst eliminator on it, they are the double stainless steel pipes and I left the same pipe and the original exhaust. And it turned out that I was left with an acceleration lag. I put the ESE Healt Technics chip to eliminate the witness and they already mapped him at the BMW Motorrad Agency here in Monterrey and they did not find the solution. Could you advise me or help me to know if it is possible that it remains without failure? Best regards
Air those tires down. Especially at your track day. Congrats on the absolute steal on the One Piece Leathers! Bummed you sold the DRZ-SM, but if it just sits around... like mine. I just can't bring myself to sell it. Can't wait to enjoy the track day vid - but you never told us what your new 'Track Bike' was!!! You just teasing us?
Running 30 psi cold which is what I run at the track. Q3s have always been slippery while new, but this set seemed extra slippery even after a proper warm-up. I even take extra care to make sure no oils/soaps get on the tire during install. That's exactly what happened with the DRZ, it was sitting around too much. If I had a local karting track or even a supermoto group to ride it would be a different story.
@@ravenmoto5948 I know you're gonna tell me "Bruh i've done this all the time and never had issues" but don't ever use brake cleaner on your tyres, most modern tyres literally don't need break-in let alone cleaning with a solvent, brake cleaner brakes down the anti-uv protective wax and carbon black which WILL destroy your sidewall.
Have you tried Diablo SuperCorsa on the XR? Had the Q2 in the past and makes it easier to set the bike for the angle but never fully trusted them. Switched to Pirelli and feel so different and I trust them completely since then, best tires for me.
Good stuff Cuban,be safe and have fun at your track day. Since your new to the suit I will off you a bit of advice for making it MUCH BETTER. Check out a one piece under suit like the PsycleSkins at STG. It's a lifesaver over 2 piece wicking gear.
Buenas tardes, tengo una pregunta. Porque motivo se le quita los conductos de flujo del filtro del aire. Puede ser para que sea más directo? Aumentará el sonido ,verdad?. Saludos
Agree about Anakees. I have replacements on order $308 total. What do you suggest? Please reply! Doing it Saturday. Love the sound and vid BTW You're vids are always very cool 😃 Cheers from Daytona!
@@Vinx1972 it might give you a slight power gain, but not much. You will be able to hear the engine intake noise louder... but by all means, do not remove the filter, make sure you put that one back, hehe.

Hey Grigoris, the latest flash Brentuning sent me was optimized to work with removing the acoustics insert and using a Sprint filter. Not sure if they have any newer versions out, the flash I have works really well.
Thanks for the videos. Did you change out your Demper? A friend of mine suggested that I put a Ohlins in so I did and when I took it out now over 180-200 it starts wiggling. Never happened before.
Not necessarily, it does more for noise than for performance in my opinion, but Brentuning said they were able to squeeze a couple more hp with a tune adjustment, so every bit helps.
Hi Cuban Following your mods for a while and are really tempted by the brentune. Unfortunately your coupon code is no longer valid. I removed the acoustic insert a month ago and the intake sound is pretty awesome. Btw that bracket around the ignition that is always in the way; it is held by two breakaway screws - I replaced them with some normal hex screws and have now better access to the filter and spark plugs. It took some effort to get them out, in part because the have blue threadlocker on it, but it was worth it.
Udo sorry to hear about the discount code, I'll take it down. Good news is that Brentuning does sales often so it might be worth it to wait. Swapping the screws is smart, I'm not sure how to remove the original ones but I'd be interested to replace them.
@@CubanRider I used a Dremel and cut a slit for a flathead screwdriver. Keep the slit tight and use the biggest screwdriver you have, some have a hex end at the grip and you can use a wrench on them. Lots of down pressure and patience.
I was running 30 psi, double checked once I got to the house, they seem to take longer to break in. I wanted to run Q4s but they're much more expensive. I was able to buy the Q3+ with a rebate, no rebates for Q4s unfortunately.
