    I really like the concept. I’m planning one also. You should make more videos. You’ve got a good style.
    I’m not sure if your fan is pushing or pulling but you probably want a vent somewhere on your box so the air can move across the electronics and get that heat outta there

    If you keep them mounted flat on the ground you could probably use a semi thick aluminum plate to mount those bucks. I find nice heavy flat sinks in car stereos.

    Guys, be careful, you're dealing with high power here, don't kill youself!
    1. what about shrink tube? (if one of the converteres get warm/lose because HOTglue it can short out) or the led strips get lose
    2. fuses for the channels and main power? (that you can change easily)
    3. just one opening (with the fan)? where does the heat exits/fresh air enters (depents on direction of fan)
    4. driling smal holes for the screws prevent the wood from cracking (as seen from the top on the side panels).

      The wires going into those screw terminals should also have ring or fork terminals on them. Those just look like they've had a bit of solder applied, which isn't a good idea.

    Brother man great build. Just so anyone about to buy the dps module it’s a step down converter not a buck boost, just buck. Which is still awesome it’s a great buck regulator! Not sure if you caught that

    All well and good putting the fan in it - but you didnt include any vents to allow the air that the fan pushes in to the case to get back out again!

    ok, so i put the items in my shopping cart for this build. $144.00 for a 5 amp power supply... lol I could get one ready to go at 10 amp for $49.00. But hell no.,... I'm going to build Drainmans for $144.00 lol Its worth the extra $100 bucks,,, Drain man rules... this hobby isn't about saving money its about Sending it !! custom only !! awesome video,, thanks for this one...im going to do patreon for sure,,

    Nice ,,, like the design,,,, but I didn't see any ventilation holes in the box , and maybe I just can't see them cause I'm sure you understand how air pressure and ventilation works... freaking sweet looking power supply though

    Amazing, now just add a temp sensor so that the fan only runs when acertain temperature is achieved or over it. Now if I wanted say 120 volts and 10 amps?

    I made my own circuit for the power supply but I was looking for something good-looking as a case and this is a really good idea! Probably I will use acrilic and I found a company that can cut all wholes quite cheap with laser so it is perfect (I mean the wholes that are difficult to drill like rectangular etc. as i don't have too many tools :/ ) . Anyway thanks for the idea! I usuelly don't buy those modules (I make them for my own) but always I have lack of ideas for the rest (case etc. hehe ) . BTW what I have noticed is that wood likes to crack sometimes when we use screws etc. (I have noticed that you have had some cracks in that wooden boards , I wonder how to avoid it 🤔).

    Hi Drainman, thanks for the vid. What would be the highest watts you could charge up to? I see that the inverter is limited to 180W. Thanks again.
    Edit: Would it be safe to parallel charge 6S lipo?

    • @DrainManFPV
      @DrainManFPV  4 роки тому +1

      The module can handle up to 250w so the limit would be the 180w from the converter. At 5a with the large cooling fan you can definitely parallel charge some 6s batteries. Might add another heatsink. Remember this won't balance your cells, so check them first.

Also i know you threw a little disclaimer in on charging lipos but with no balance wires you could get a runaway cell. Then you will run away. Lol. Really sweet though!

    • @GlowShow5113
      @GlowShow5113 5 місяців тому

      @@Bobo-ox7fj a smoke stopper is a little board that you put in between your battery and your drone, during the build process. It will instantly cut power if you have a short or something bridged. It keeps you from burning up your gear- and I don’t understand how you would r need one anymore.

    Get rid of the stupid light organ.
    Better put some efford to get an extra zero ground so you have +-
    No polarity protection and only current limit adjustment on the ready made supply.
    This is not a bench power supply I want to have

  • @Spirit_05

    Having a fan without any ventilation hole is very stupid design! For RGB leds you can buy digital controller with hundreds of programs for a few dolars instead of this primitive 3 switches.
