I was let go from my previous collision tech job and slowly hoping back in again as a lube tech watching your videos is inspiring man keep grinding dawg
Thank you for the support man, I actually have a new video on the works where I spoke to a long time friend who’s been in the industry for a long time now, and he put me up on some game. I would like to share it with you guys,
@rowdyrick7091 I used to work in a Factory as a Machine Operator and I loved troubleshooting.. been working on mine and my wife's cars, Brakes, starters, power steering pump. hoping to do a Mobile Mechanic Business one day, gotta get some experience in the shop first I think.
@JesusDiscipleNicholas bro I’m literally working out the truck of my sedan, it’s possible you just got to start. I have a full time job but I like doing side work. It’s funny how I already feel you have technical skills you just haven’t really used them as much as you would doing mechanic work daily. I was a machine operator at one point in my life, a sheer operator as well
@rowdyrick7091 thanks for the encouragement bro, looking into my local Honda/acura dealerships cause that's what I'm most familiar with. Have you ever used " YourMechanic "?
Bro if you dont mind me asking, what is the rate of pay you are looking at with these interviews? 25-30$/hr? I am looking to become a certified tech but if I dont need to waste a year in school I will just study hard and hustle the interviews like you are doing. Thanks so much sir!
Study hard and do the interviews, you should be able to get 30 anywhere with 2 or 3 certs, shit I got up to 34$ with no certs, but if you can do like 22+ with commission that’s better then a flat 30$ an hour. But I want all the ASEs and other certs because I want to be a real professional,. Just study and do interviews, if you want practice the interview out of town and when your ready go to the places you really want to work at. You’ll need more than a week at studing for each test. Take your time the test are a bit difficult.
Hey, it actually went great. I got interviewed by the service director and shop Forman. The interview itself was about 2 hrs, of us just talking an knowing each other, they took a copy of my drivers license and social security, so I think I’m officially getting the job, now we just got to see what they offer me as in wage, and if it makes sense. I’ll give an update as soon as I know. But I think I might have to take a small pay cut but it’s worth it if it means I can getting closer to my ultimate goal of working at BMW in the future.
I got into it by going to school. If you don’t want to go to school you can start at parts store like advance so you can get familiar with certain parts and tools. You don’t want to start work in a shop knowing next to nothing cuz it can be a lot to take in. Me personally I went to school for 2 years, worked a parts store, and then found work at a dealership.
Perfect opportunity for someone who wants to change careers and take the initiative to learn and get paid while learning, without taking out major loans for school.
Congrats! Let’s get it!
Yo, this auto generated captions are wild.

They have been doing this for decades..copy certificates change the tech name.😅
Sad that all the good top techs leaving the no good dealerships and they are so desperate for techs that they will hire anyone....
