best piece of advice youll ever get, learn to think for yourself and not be so quick to get hand fed. Sets you apart from the rest
I feel as if your physical up to it and ofc have the tools it’s not an issue

That bbq sauce is calling my name
I want to be a mechanic ❤
Simple answer, yes... you can do whatever you want in life. You are never too old to start anything. Dont let anybody tell you otherwise
It’s that simple, we just over complicate stuff and get analysis paralysis
I am 50. And I starting doing my own cars the last year. Tear down the heads, send in for machining, do all my services, plugs, electrical on car, all rewiring....also for my friends. Nothing stopped me, and still going strong. But, I was at gym since the age of 15, till now. Never skip exercises. I was shocked that people think when you are 30 you may have trouble working on a car 😂😂😂
That’s what I’m talking bout. Love your input man thanks for commenting.
This guy isn't just giving advice to become a mechanic, he's giving advice for achieving anything in life! 1) Never settle and be unhappy. Make a decision to change your circumstances. 2) Be adaptable and put in the work to find what you really want to do. What are you passionate about? 3) Introduce yourself personally to management. This is a massively overlooked but desirable step for job candidates. As a manager, the number of times I threw a resume/CV on my desk never to read it, but hired someone because they came and spoke to me is many. 4) Be a good, respectful and helpful person to those around you in your workplace. This will come back to you 10 fold. Put in work helping the current employees and demonstrating that it's an asset to have you around rather than a liability. 5) Learn from those with more experience than you and nurture those relationships. 6) Never give up and have a positive outlook, even in difficult circumstances. Positivity goes a hell of a long way when things get tough. Never giving up means you can never fail, only learn from mistakes and progress. Great vid! Thanks!
Thank you for your input I really appreciate it. I hope people see this an it motivates them to change what they don’t like in their life. Thank you
wtf they must be out of mind! Lol thanks your video!
I'm having a very difficult time removing the individual heat shields for each spark plug..... Any ideas that will make it easier?? Thank you!
You going to want to use some vacuum line hose pliers or spark plug pliers

Lie to say you know it but learn as you there 😅 love your honesty bro
Sometimes you need to lie, just to get that chance, I don’t like to lie but if you can manage to pull it off is it really a lie?
You also live in Cali. Idk where you’ve lived. I’ve been a mechanic in Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, North Dakota, Oregon twice, California, North Carolina and Washington state twice. I may not realize California pays higher than any other place in USA. What they pay u $20-30/hr Other states will pay u $10-15/hr When I I started in Virginia wages was $5.15/hr. It’s not worth it everywhere.
I get paid 37$, I have a raise coming up in a couple months though that will get me up to 42$ flat rate. But I work on mopar jeep and Chrysler so there is an endless supply at work where I am at.
I subbed to you bro, you look like you enjoy working in cars aswell
Sry bro If u think it’s easy. You’re not doing it right. It’s brutal. On your body. On your mind. 30s is not old. When I was 34 I ran a 2hr44min marathon. That’s 6 min mile pace for 3hr I lost an appendage in the career. Bringing in someone late in life is cruel unusual. An u only been in it 2yr. U don’t have any idea what the industry is like until 15-20yr.
I’ve only been doing it 2 years but I’ve climbed up in the field fast, I love doing heavy line, and I’m transitioning over into diesel, I don’t plan on doing this for more then 5 to 10 years, it does take its toll on the body, that’s why I’m at the gym, and mental fortitude helps with the stress. But it is easy my guy. It’s easy, sometimes it’s hard but for the most part it is easy. I’m sorry to hear about your accident man. Truly.
Anything that's hard can feel easy if you enjoy doing it. That's the primary factor. If you don't enjoy what you are doing, the hard stuff only seems harder. Otherwise it's just another challenge to overcome
I like that, it’s true
if it took you over a decade to figure out the industry then you must have the awareness/IQ of a fruit fly. Sorry about your accident brother
Don’t go to school. So you can fuck up everyone’s car. Got it
Good video
Props to you bro Good video
I just had the opportunity to start working in the automotive industry and at jiffy lube and they have tons of classes to learn stuff and all for free and I will use it to my advantage to learn as much as possible! Learn as much as I can!
Magnaflow?
Don’t know bro
I’ve worked at jiffy lube and hertz and now I struggle to find employment. Enterprise shot me down for no reason and I have good references from my previous bosses . What gives ?
I doubt you are really Struggling bro. No offense. There is a shortage on mechanics. If you really tried I guarantee you would really find a job but then again I don’t even know where you are located so I don’t really even know what I’m talking about
@@rowdyrick7091 I’m in Miami . And I don’t speak Spanish . You shouldn’t prejudge . That’s exactly what I’m going through. You already judged me and don’t even know me . I shared my experience with you and you automatically formulated an opinion . No worries I just got into Bridgestone/firestone total car care . I had to have a friend recommended me to the shop foreman but atleast I was able to walk in and fill out an application and have an employer see me face to face versus turning me down based off of nothing . But yeah brother god bless you on your journey.
67 year old mechanic do not do this thankless job for a living do it for your own needs only
I don’t think you should be a mechanic for more than 10 years. Specially if you’re in a dealership, you should be getting to the point where you rarely work on cars and just deal with solving issues that other people can’t really solve less wrenching more diagonal.

Got to memorize some Easter eggs lol
Liked and subbed thanks bro
Thanks man, I got a couple more videos coming up talking bout the subject.
Damn, 550i is a great car despite the issues it holds. After repairing all the loose ends it really is an enjoyable car to drive. Mine - 2008 BMW 550i 6MT BC Coilovers, Stage 2 Tune, M5 Body Kit, M5 Wheels, Catless SP, Quad Tips, Welded Diff, ID4Motion Cluster. Definitely recommend the cluster from ID4Motion. It's pricey but looks good. 230,000KM still goes strong
Our journeys sound similar brother 🤝🏽
Right on Bro 👍🏼 Straight facts... Keep on wrenchin 🛠
The updates on how the car’s been driving are super helpful, and I’m excited to see what’s next on the list for the E60! Keep up the awesome work! 🚗🔧👏
no way I clicked on a video of a guy talking for 15 minutes, script you videos make is engaging for the whole time
Bro I just went in before I forgot what I was gonna say. I actually forgot the last bit.
Only problem is alot of shops want 20 years of experience at the age of 18
Lmao it’s possible bro Ima make a video this week speaking on it
Did you remove the guard under your car ? that’s probably why it cracked brother
Most likely, the guard was missing when I bought it.
Thanks!
I appreciate you brother
I needed this 100%, I’m not gonna quit big dawg thanks for refreshing my train of thought!
Glad it could help bro.
Great teaching 🎉
I wish I was a mechanic. Being in construction sucks sometimes
Scotty Kilmer is a cheapskate shadetre mechanic and full of $hit.
Why do you say that? Genuinely curious lol.
It’s kinda funny. Scotty Kilmer don’t like a lot of cars
Man God has a plan over your life, you gotta know you don’t get that lucky that many times in a row. Jesus is invested in you, just tell him thank you with all the life you have left yk
I truly believe what you said, he has blessed me more than I will ever deserve. All glory to the Highest
Alright, this is how we have done it. Most recently we purchased two Toyotas under msrp during covid, in 2021. First off, you can purchase a vehicle from out of state, I am not quite sure about leasing it, but you can most definitely finance it. We live in NY and flew to Iowa, signed the paperwork and drove the cars back. You still have to pay your state/local tax. Second, you must go with for example, in our case, toyota financing. Toyota financing won't allow dealer markups and nonsense addons, they won't approve inflated loan to value underwriting, and they will make sure you get all the discounts offered. If you go with a different loan service, you will most definitely have to deal with markups and addons. Finally, look up the states dmv guidelines on temporary plates. Iowa, for example, gives out temporary plates no problem. Another state might not be so lenient, so you might have to get your car delivered, so thats another 1-1.5k depending on the distance. For us its a no brainer, we get a great deal, don't have to deal with the crazy prices around here. Its perfect, we drive back, break the engine in, and do an oil change as soon as we arrive.
Lol fake it till you make it , in the flesh 😅 I love it , bro 👍👌
I’m at a dealership now man, doing heavy line an niching out. It worked and it’s gotten me far bro
What about opening your owne shop? What do you Need for that other than money to lease the garage and buy every tool neccessary to do the job, because some.shops will force yiu to cheate and be disoonest with customer to make more money, like putting normal or bad quality engine oil and charge the cuatomer for the super synthetic hight quality engine oil and verse versa.
Started with an alternator for me. And Spark plugs, then I just wanted to learn it all. Bodywork, mechanics, every aspect. My father is a legendary freaking body man around here and I love solving puzzles but I got fed up with my hunk of s*** messing up call me in the worst situations all the freaking time, so it's either that or my genetics I can't tell😅😅😅
wouldnt call myself a mechanic yet but my journey started with an alternator too 😂
i’ve changed the breaks and rotors on my car n done other basic things. i’m confident i know how to do oil changes too even tho i never done one. gonna try applying to some places soon cus i hate doing doordash. the tech support is so annoying to deal with when things go wrong
I did door dash for like 2 years, shit does suck
Just applied for a entry level service technician opening at an auto nation mercedes. As long as the pay is the same or a little more than my warehouse job ill do it. I just wanna learn and go up from there, i want the experience. Hoping i get the job with no experince (all i know is basic things like oil change)
Bro that’s the best way to start, you can pick up the rest along the way, you got this.
No good
I started my own mobile mechanic business this year. Im far from wealthy, but im free .
what are the tools called? I'll need to get some to replace mine I'm short and won't be able to reach the hose well
