I’m a widow missing my husband of 35 years, he only recently died.
Our date night was sitting in front of the tv watching the spoon lady, she amazed us. As grief ridden as I am y’all still are putting a smile on my face just to remember those great times we had! Thanks for the memories, The “News”

I'm so sorry for your loss ❤. I lost my son 3 months ago and he introduced me to the spoon lady and we would sit and watch her videos. Funny thing is it's been a couple years since we watched and this popped up today and I decided to watch again in his remembeerance or a sign from him he's still around. God bless you on your healing journey 🙏 ❤😊

I watched an interview with Abby talking about the world wide attention she gets. She is so humble and even talked about negative comments she received. She joked about being called hillbilly or mountain people and said sorry but I'm from Kansas. Classic! ✌

Pure talent is always hidden in unlikely places. Born and raised in North Carolina there is a lot of this in the Appalachians and down here in the swamp where I live. We get together and jam like this all the time. It’s awesome. It’s pure joy to get together with friends and play guitar, harmonica, sing and sip a little along the way.
I am a swamp person to and I love getting two or three people together and just jamming

I’m a country boy born and raised. So I’ve seen alot of spur of the moment pickin ‘n’ grinnin! Music played with ordinary items like tubs, pots & pans, old glass milk jugs and lots of spoon playing.
So with that in mind Ms. Abby I must say that is the most awesome spoon playing I’ve ever seen. You’re in perfect time with the beat, you are able to embellish like nobody’s business, and I dare say without your sound. The music would be missing something.

The music industry could learn a thing or two from this. But they don’t sell real music. They sell images. This is real talent. Nobody LISTENS to music with their eyes.
That having been said, I definitely appreciate the musical skills of these two musicians even more by being able to see them. I don't think I'd understand just how cool the spoon playing is by hearing it alone. Same with the multi-instrument gentleman. But I agree that the music industry is unhealthily focused on camera angles, lighting, and close-ups, too often at the expense of focus on musicality.
