- Finally wrapping up the Avionics upgrade on my 1954 Cessna 170B. This is a long one! first part is finishing up, second part is a demo and show and tell of the new Garmin Avionics! I installed the Garmin GNX 375 GNC 255 PAR200B and two Garmin G5s. This is video two showing the progress of the upgrades and work on my Cessna, but also giving a pretty thorough review of the features and function of the Garmin GNX 375 and integration to the two Garmin G5 units, as well as, the GNC 255 Nav/com. It has been a lot of work and a lot of long hours, but it is starting to pay off and I am finally seeing the benefits of such a long avionics and instrument panel makeover.

Great Job. Nice, clean panel!!
Thanks, yes I’m trying to clean things up, it’s been several years of hacks & add-ons, time to make it better for my mission.
Awesome panel. The GNX 375 is so useful, putting your WAAS navigator and ADS-B in/out xponder in one panel "slot"so to speak
Yes exactly, I’m really happy so far & shaved 5lbs doing it!
Amazing JOB! This is going to be my new inspiration. My 62' 210 really needs exactly this. My only wish is that you used a shop so I could ask about price. Great that you are able to sign off on that work. Looks awesome!
Haha, yes I hear that. It’s such a good setup. Really functional & compact. I’m loving it!
That looks great!
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing. Looks great!
Thanks!
Nice landcruiser
Thanks! Yes I love my Landcruiser, just put some rear wheel bearings & seals in, ready for summer cruising!
Are you an A&P? I am an AMT student and have many questions about the regulations regarding avionics installations. The panel looks amazing!
Nice, keep up the good work! Yes I’m an A&P, and was an avionics tech for 10+ years.
