- Here is part two of our summer backcountry flying trip. Shannon and I spent two weeks enjoying flying, camping, hiking, eating, and occasionally biking in the west. This was a bucket list trip for me, and I am so excited to finally explore the places I had been reading about.

Next time you do this trip stay at Heller Farm. L51 there’s a cabin there to stay in and it’s first come first serve no reservations needed. Cow creek looked a little rough on you!

That’s awesome! Definitely good motivation, that’s for sure! I’ve done several trips in the area, driving my van down through the Bitterroot valley, hiking and pack rafting up in the Bob, but seeing it all from the plane was on a whole mother level. Keep it up!

What month did you do your trip?
We went in the first week of July & the weather and conditions were perfect.
I am more of the catch and eat guy not catch and release
