I have a Honda 3000 psi GCV160. Motor runs great, has plenty of pressure, however when I release the trigger it will not go to bypass mode, builds pressure until it kills the motor...I have replaced the unloader valve. Any ideas what it going on? By the way the washer is only 2 years old. Thank you
This is exactly how you do it for an 8 gpm. This unloader is what we install on 8 gpm power washers. Only difference is you'd use either an 8 or 9 orifice nozzle.
I have a question maybe you can answer replaced my pump everything works good once I pull the trigger and then release I can never pull the trigger again if that makes sense can you help
I'm going over the principal of adjusting the unloader. In this case it's with a 3000 at 5 gpm power washer so we are using an 06 orifice tip on this video. If it's a 4000 at 4 gpm we recommend using an 04 orifice tip. When testing a 4000 at 8 gpm we recommend using an 08 orifice tip. There is a general pump chart that has this information that tells you what tip you should be using.

Great vid. Should make an updated one adjusting an 8gpm unloader

Great video Marco!
Thanks Lance!
Thanks for the info!
Perhaps mention what size tip you are using when setting unloader

I don't think I learned jack out of this video.
😂 I'm building a new setup and needed a refresher. I don't know if this is allowed but...

Me too!
Great video.. and nice shirt!
Thanks for giving me the shirt Craig Harrison, the F9 creator!
Where can I get that shirt?
what happens if i dont set the unloader?
You won’t get max flow and psi out of your pump. And if the unloader is too tight it can also make your belts pop if running a belt drive
I Have heard that before but did not understand it ... I think I understand it now...
