most smaller pressure washers do not have an unloader bypass discharge port. So I found a way that you can hook up an external unloader valve and it works great. your pump will never run hot again!

Hey everyone I put the links in the description for everything you need!
How did you delete the internal unloaded. I just add external by pas. And got aver heater.

How did you hook up that hose to the quick connect for the bypass
@440pressurewash I believe you can order special quick connects with a hose barb on the other end. That's probably what he used or he just used a 3/8 male quick connect and a hose that fit snug over the threads with a small hose clamp holding it in place since that line isn't under pressure this would work fine. I'm in the process of adding one of these to my 3200psi Predator but I'm actually disconnecting the first unloaded and using the second unloaded for the pressure control and the water dump. This other guy just put out a really good video showing you how about a month ago. Don't know his YT name.
Not the same, the pump on the HF is 100x better than the AAA Pump.
Dude I thank you so much. I’ve been on here for weeks trying to see someone set this up. You helped me so much.
i knew you weren't supposed to run the washer without pulling the trigger on the gun but now i know why, thanks for explaining it and thanks for the solution

Very helpful video. I run a 4gpm machine , all my houses are city water never need a buffer tank probably y I never moved up to a larger system, it takes a little longer to rinse a house but everything fits nicely in my van along with a 40 gallon soft wash system. I’ve been house painting for for 35 years always washed first. Very interesting how the washing business has grown, good luck with your wash business hard work always pays off 👍

I just installed mine yesterday. Today, we find out how it works. A full trailer wash, oxidize removal and Trex decking, railings, and concrete driveway cleaning.
It worked awesome. I think I am going to put a reducer to slow down the water it is dumping. The key point is to keep some water flowing to keep the pump cool.
@@1stFlyingeagle awesome man! Glad everything went well
I'm ordering the unloaded before my pressure washer, thank you.
We're you able to get this to work ? Any tips ?
Great solution, had to stop my self from running around my jobs now that i know my pump is not going to over heat. thanks for the big tip. I talked to my local pressure washing store and they said that wont work, guess what it does.
I bought the same power washer from Harbor Freight.. it’s a beast.. you helped solve the problem. Great video.
How is it working so far? I was thinking about getting the same washer to start out with. But this is a very good tip. Was wondering if you've tried this yet, and if so, how's everything working ? Any new or additional tips you care to share?

Thank you for going over these small details like this "How to" unloader video. I've heard the term before but most other channels kind expect you to already by familiar with it.
Here is a great one. I have been slowly purchasing all the gear for softwashing. My first roof with the pump and batch mix and a quick front-of-house washdown. Will pay me more than the gear I have paid for. 3/4 & 1/2 Mixing valves, 1" manifold, check valves, connectors, hoses, filter screen, fittings, spray wand parts. I still need a water tank and tank for a surfactant, But I did buy a 30-gallon tank for batch loads. Yes, I look forward to this add-on service to my Handyman services. I will be buying a van to build out as the wash van. Parking is too hard when dragging a trailer around.
Great vid bro. Thanks so much. You will def be successful if you apply this type of ingenuity to your business.. best of Luck bro 💪
Brilliant 👏 the video i just watched before this video said about the pump over heading after 30 seconds if you dont turn the machine of, i got worried for all of 5 minutes till i watched you, big thanks bro
No problem. It really does work. I ran that machine hard and never had any pump issues.
@@MyPressureWashingBusiness I've seen posts online saying they are a really good machine, I'm actually looking at buying one to but I might try build a washer 😅
Any reason why there was still a small amount of water coming from the unloader hose when the trigger is pulled? Seems like the unloader is not fully seating when the trigger is pulled. Not sure if that makes a big difference or not. I'm about to pull the trigger on the same setup you have, looks to be a big improvement over what i have now.
Good to go. Got a Simpson 4gpm. Ive just let water run through the ball valve once i disconnected the wand, surface cleaner, xjwt, etc. Didn't see a link, however most of us should be Amazon savvy enough to find this external unloader valve and replicate yours to a tee. Thanks again. Much success

You're videos have got me through a lot of dilemmas I was having getting started with my pressure washer. Salute good sir
Do you still have full psi pressure with the bypass unloader? In your vid it looks like that still comes some water through the bypass garden Hose while you are pressing the the trigger
Its cause he limited the external unloader by putting it down to 2000 or so psi
Thank you so much for this....i finally got it connected right.Starts great, everything is awesome🎉🎉....respect from Bastrop,Texas!..Brent
I've had the same machine for over 2 years and It’s been great. The only issue I've ever had with it is if I leave the fuel on it will very slowly drip at the bottom of the carb. I've put new gaskets in it and made sure everything was tight but still does it. So I just turn the fuel off when I'm done and run all the fuel out of the carb. It will pull from a buffer tank but it has to be primed first. I've thought about buying another one and Siamese them together for when I have large concrete cleanings.
I've heard of people running two machines together like that. I actually just got a 10GPM and it's been awesome for concrete but It's taking some getting used to. I guess I still like the 4GPM
Ty for this Video. I currently have way too much water coming out of the external valve, even when I’m on the trigger. Is there a specific way to adjust this using a pressure gauge or do I just turn it counter clockwise until less or no water is coming out when on the trigger? Ty
@patsommo5248 did you ever figure this out I'm having same problem and not being able to gety psi over 1k with thus issue thanks
This video is pure gold
No more hard starts, trying to start the washer and fighting the unloader was a real pain. Even if I waste some water it's worth it.
You're supposed to pull the trigger while starting.
@@ItchyKneeSonyou don’t need to if you have an unloader
On that Amazon unloader l, if you look into the outlet before you put on the quick connect adapter, was there a small hole down inside the outlet on the sidewall. Was there any parts in the outlet orvwas it empty?
@@jasonthurston799 Valve is already installed but I'm not sure exactly what your question is about
You won't waste any water if you do exactly what he did in the video. Just run the unloader garden hose back into to tank. Unless your use a garden hose for supply but then who cares right lol
You said that no water should come out of buffer hose but I clearly saw water coming out. Yes it was less when on the trigger. I set mine up to dump on ground and it clearly dumps some water when on the trigger
You're didn't have a thermal relief on the bottom side of you're axial pump? I just got my Predator Pressure washer but it's the 3200PSI 2.8 GPM one and mine has a thermal relief valve on the bottom right beneath the water inlet with a little black plastic fitting pointing away from operator. I'm curious do I need to add the external relief unloader still like you show in this video or could I run a hose connected to the thermal relief valve and running to my reservoir tank?
@@crossfiregaming9541the thermal relief valve is not going to protect you anything like this valve. Don’t let the pressure washer idle without pumping water for more than a minute and you don’t need to worry about adding this at all. If you think you’re someone that may make that mistake then I’d add this.
Very helpful video Thank you for sharing,i have a same pressure washer i will definitely do your trick and please also make a video how to setup unloader to change psi up and down
Does lowering the pressure lower the gpm?
0:13 Are you being modest? Annovi Reverberi™ triplex pump is the best you can get! That thing’s a beast.
Great video! This was VERY informative! Quick question, since your only using the secondary unloader valve to dump water to keep your pump cool, does it matter how low you set it?
Not sure, I've honestly never tried to put it really low like that but it might not make a difference.
Do you have heat? I see lots of Diesel but no heater. That’s a very respectable set up. 👍
Awesome! I’m working to set up the same rig!

Do you have parts for your discharge hose
Nice vid, well done....
Hey buddy thanks a lot this video helps me so much
Glad to help!
They told me this machine does not stuck water.... Does gravity feed really work on this machine with the bypass
@@oscarramirez8110 yes. It really works gravity fed but the Buffer tank hose outlet has to be higher than the pressure washer pump. I used this machine for years with it set up this way
@@MyPressureWashingBusiness u think it would work if the machine is 1 inch lower than the buffer
@@oscarramirez8110 1 inch might work but it depends how big your buffer tank is. You would need to keep at least 50 gallons of water in it at all times to have enough gravity flow pressure. Try it out and do a bucket test to make sure your getting the gpm you need for your machine. I have a video on my channel showing how to do a bucket test if it helps.
Hey man, thanks for the video. Could you make a video or explain what you mean when you say you can lower the pressure? Like, how do you do that?
Why does water continue to flow out of the black hose while you are pulling the trigger on the gun? Thank you.
Great video
your a real one for this. please make more videos with this setup
Do you need a water tank to go along with this pressure washing machine ? Or do you just use the house’s spigot?
You don't need a water tank but a lot of guys use them because some houses that have older well pumps have poor water flow but Most modern homes have great water pressure. So the answer again is no you don't have to have a water tank with a 4gpm machine.
Very good video
I have a Westinghouse WXP 3400. Can this unloader be used on any pressure washer like the one I have?
excuse my ignorance but why does the water get hot in the pump? isnt it still running even with no water going through it and wouldnt cold water cool it down? cuz its direct drive? thats where the heat comes from? and does it really keep the pump cold with no water going through? im just ordering equipment now but soon ill be the top pressure washer in my area =D
Good question my friend. Let's say you are in the middle of a house wash and the customer pats you on the back to ask you a quick question or you have to run back to the truck to grab something. It happens a lot! Anyways, At this point you are not holding the trigger down anymore and cold water is no longer flowing. The unloader valve that comes with your machine has told the pump to stop pulling more water from your water source. The water now has nowhere to go and it is just sitting in the pump spinning around and around getting very hot. All it takes a few minutes and your pump is taking damage to the seals inside. If you continue to do this house after house your pump will not last long at all. That's why a lot of guys are installing this external unloader valve.
At 4:53 , is that a pressure washing quick connect fitting inside of your spare garden hose?
You just put a hose clamp on that?
Just making sure it’s not some sort of barbed fitting inside of the garden hose. I bought the fittings on your description and the only thing I could see going in the spare garden hose is that male end quick connect and just clamp it down. It’s hard to tell on this video.
Or at least they look like male end quick connects on Amazon but I’m guessing just insert it into the garden hose even if it’s not barbed?
Im feeling a little rusty, not washing or playing with my machines at all. Can you tell me What size quick connects you are running on your new unloader?
Appears to be 3/8 on the machine side and for the tip side you'll need 1/4 inch.
Thanks for the video!! have exact same unit and cant get it to work...I set the original regulator between 2500- 3000psi by checking gauge before putting the external on and then when i attach the external unloader and set regulator slightly lower by feel to the original I hardly can get 500 psi and can't get it to completely stop the dump flow when trigger pulled.. ive tried just randomly adjusting the regulators and sometimes can get it to work a little better randomly here and there but with no real definitive setting that works any tips any one? TIA
@@ApplyinPressure407 hi. Do you have the arrows on the external unloader valve facing away from the pressure washer? Do you have any leaks around your hoses/fittings? There's not a whole lot it could be. It may be possible you got a defective external unloader valve. Did you buy the one from the video? I only ask because a few guys on here found cheaper ones and had similar issues. Hope this helps.
@MyPressureWashingBusiness thanks for your reply and yes sir I got everything hooked up correctly though I do have a slight drip coming from the bottom allen key nut i put Teflon tape on it just can't get it all the way tight with no leaks would that lil bit cause an issue? @@catfisher420 sounds like a bad unloader valve. I'm not sure if adding an external unloader valve would fix this problem but I would love to know if it does. I could be wrong though but that's my guess.

Hi bro , i buy this same but its not working in my pressure washer
@@hrehal6828 did you hook it up in the correct direction for the water flow. Can you explain a little more about what the problem is and I'll try and help you
There is a much easier cheaper way to do this. Years ago on a machine just like this one, I bought a thermal relief valve that screwed right into the pump, just removed one of the brass plugs to put it in. They cost around 10 to 20 bucks. Also, if you really want to play it safe with the pump, add a float valve switch to the tank, so that when it is almost empty, it shuts the engine off, fairly easy to tie it into the on/off switch. As you probably know, if it runs out of water, it can destroy the pump fairly quickly.
Hi, This machine comes with a thermal relief valve already installed but keeping water running through the pump is not what thermal relief valve is for. By the time the relief valve pops the pump has already reached a very hot temperature.
