I almost never get a first run of a new gun but I broke that rule. I’m very excited to take this baby out to the range.
You will not be disappointed 😁
Same
@@ARFCOMReviews I’m very happy with it after 500 rounds. This pistol has earned a spot in my carry rotation.
In pretty happy with mine. The slide has great slide cuts that make manipulation super easy and the low bore access makes it easy to control recoil. I love the innovative VIS optic mounting system that allows a bunch of different red dot sights to be mounted without needing a plate. The trigger is pretty good, but I think Springfield’s XDM Elite is slightly better. Overall, a great pistol that is some serious competition for Sig.
It's still the best full size duty handgun in my hands 😅
My buddy just put the Holosun scs p320 on his Eschelon and it works fantastic and looks sick!!!
Dude! I bet that is a pretty sweet setup!
I bought the Echelon based on how it felt in my hand. A Glock 17 with red dot requires an angle in my wrist that is not natural/comfortable. The Echelon feels better, points more naturally. To me the Echelon is like a very upgraded Glock. I’m considering getting another one - just looking at holster options and its limiting.
I agree far superior to the 17 and for that fact better then anything on the market. Can’t wait for the compact / sub compact model
Tier 1 concealment msp for iwb you’ll love it
It hurts me inside with how well I did with it compared to my glock 17 but I can't argue with the results 🥲
I work at a gun shop and customers like the ergonomics of the Eshelon . They are selling good.
I think in the next couple of years, this will start to eat up more of the plastic gun market
My favorite gun ever honestly
It's a really solid choice and always performs well in a bunch of people's hands
good stuff guys.
That means a lot coming from you homie 😁
YES! More like this please.
We will keep it in mind 😁
Awesome job
I appreciate the feedback!
My buddy has it and it's sick! I wish it had a few more grip options but it's sick!
Dude it is a pretty sweet gun. It's one of the few I want that I don't have!
@@ARFCOMReviews sure is. Ya, I had just gotten a canik and then found out about the echelon. I will also have one someday!
I don't find it to be as natural a pointer as a P10C, but the ergonomics are phenomenal. This pistol is Glock-like, but also borrows ergonomics from a Walther PPQ and a control group idea from P320. It really is an honest attempt to blend the best of what's currently available. It's an evolution for sure.
Thanks for you input! I'm also glad it come from first hand experience!
Thank you guys
Thank YOU!
Well this review makes me feel confident because I’m waiting for my dealer to call me when mine comes in. I’ve had excellent experiences with my XDs so I’m staying with Springfield Armory.
It is definitely one of the best feeling/shooting duty pistols out there. You would have to spend north of $1k to try to get something that is objectively "better".
my favorite pistol ive ever purchased. it has everything i paid extra to do to my glock out of the box, but shoots flatter is and is a tack driver.
I've have the same experience as someone who EDCs a gen 4 G17 😅
This gun, like a 1911, made me want to be a better shooter. I know that may sound weird but maybe it has something to do with how easy it is to shoot. My 17 Glock that I have used for years always made me work too hard for sometimes no gain. The Echelon was rewarding to shoot.
I totally understand where you are coming from! I EDC a G17 and everytime I shoot the Echelon I'm convinced I'm much closer to being a better shooter if I just put in the time.
The pistol stays out of your way when shooting and for a plastic gun aids a ton in allowing you to accomplish marksmanship fundamentals without having to fight a bad trigger or weird ergos.
@@ARFCOMReviews Well put !!!! 🙂
But will it jam or ND as well as a Sig?
🤣
I am not a Springfield fan and after they flopped on the prodigy I was very skeptical. I got the threaded barrel of the echelon and it is my favorite striker fired pistol to date. Now I have a Wilson SFX and 2 staccatos. I am more of a hammer fired guy but love this echelon.
I am a hammer fired guy myself and this and MAYBE the Walther are the only striker guns I don't hate shooting now
@@ARFCOMReviews I feel once someone gets a quality built hammer fired or 1911/2011 they don’t want to go back to striker fired. I keep a few strikers like my echelon because of less maintenance and to keep a bit of variety. They just don’t get much trigger time
the only con i can say with the echelon imo is the magazine catch. like since its notched in the front, the mag can wobble left and right. it doesnt affect performance ofc but its just my preference. wished they kept it two notches on either side like the hellcat
I definitely think the side notches are the way to go for mags, but I wonder if it's a patent issue
Soooo I which out to a stainless steal guide rod and 16 lbs spring in my opinion it made my shot off that muzzle rise and recoil is almost like shooting my Glock 22 …. Any pointer or words of encouragement 🤷🏾♂️
I hope it gets better?
@@ARFCOMReviews 😂😂😂 i went back to stock rod and spring and plan on becoming a member at a new gym in the future 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
Why are so many gun owners putting lights on their hand guns? Aside the obvious reason - is there another function? Like weight distribution? Or something. Or is it just about being ready to shoot in that dark ?
Being able to see in the dark is nice, but I also do it for holster compatibility. All of my holsters are light bearing and this helps 😊
This gun hurt my feelings 😅
Ok I'm a little slow at the end when Jeff's talking about Paul's scores he says "you shot better with A gun"
His score with the Echelon was 91, the Canik was 82, xmacro was 81.
What did he shoot better with?
The Echelon ro my memory
Can we get more info on the pistol standards Bravo drill?
Email Jeff at Trident Concepts
I bought one on a whim. I usually get rid of polymer gun quickly. After replacing the grip module with the large one, I am keeping it. I shoot it very well.
I’m waiting on the compact
I would bet that we see it either early next year or soon after that
@@ARFCOMReviews hopefully this summer. It’s impossible NOT to think of different sizes. The first is a trial I’m going for the second wave of perfection. Even tho this is a solid firearm. I’m seeing things about the clips falling apart.
Interesting…
🤣
REVIEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Review Review Review
The thumbs forward grip without a gas pedal is pure imitation of form and serves no purpose. You might look cool for social media, but the thumb just floats impotently next to the slide as the muzzle flips. Not good.
I love that the Echelon pistol provides an integrated, textured pad to rest the support hand thumb on. It's a great design that will FINALLY make the thumbs forward grip viable and superior in the real world (not purely competition).
A gas petal can help you maybe increase control like 5% IF you are doing all the other things right with your grip.
Unless you are shooting a sub compact 10mm with an insanely high bore axis, there is zero reason the gun should be flipping around in your hand if you are utilizing a proper grip, gas petal or not.
@ARFCOMReviews Some muzzle rise is inevitable unless your bore is literally in line with your wrist.
A "floating thumb" riding along the reciprocating slide does nothing to mitigate this. People who do this are imitating what they've seen competitive shooters do without getting any benefit from it. Like a guy driving a Volvo and flipping his fingers at imaginary paddle-shifters because he's seen pro-racers doing the same motion.
With a subcompact, you run the risk of flagging your thumb; and with revolvers, you will almost certainly get your thumb slapped at the cylinder gap.
The thumbs forward grip is fantastic when it has a purpose. I merely observed that the Echelon gives it a purpose.
