Does the charging handle double as a forward assist?

I put red dots on my pistols and I have either scopes or 3X or 4X prism scopes on all my rifles.

The fear to carry is often due to the fear by the carrier that they are not in control of their own firearm...as if it has a mind of its own. They need to learn the skills and trust that they are fully in control.

Viewing this in 2025. I would definitely be the one to show my wife, granddaughters, etc... firearm fundamentals and give them some basic firearm training. Now if they decide to seek outside training after that, that would be fine with me.

To all the ladies out there. A real man would NEVER put you at risk, make you scared of what he might do to you or other women, and never have a problem with you being as armed and prepared as you can be! Any real man would be very willing to help you, if you want it, to learn firearm safety and operation. There is really not too much to it, other than some common sense things that you always need to apply. I’ve taught my wife, daughter, 3 co workers, and 2 strangers myself. I enjoyed doing it. My favorite part was the look of someone who finally sees that they can handle it and protect themselves. All of them, ALL, turned out to be very responsible firearms owners, and damn good shots! You can do it too! Don’t fear the gun. Until someone does something to it, it will set there and do absolutely nothing. Yes, on average ~ 125 people get shot and killed every day, and twice as many get shot and injured every day. But, there’s no statistics on how many people were saved or protected by guns on that same day. Also we have ~ 395 million guns in America. If we use these numbers, 394,999,825 guns hurt NO ONE, if they did anything, they saved people or made them feel safer. NOTHING else has stats like that, not cars, eating utensils, not even doctors or medicine.
