On a more serious note, I tried making a Bitter End cocktail with it lately and it turned out really good! Mix one part Malört with one part grapefruit juice and pour it into a Radler! It's really citrusy and refreshing while not hiding the bitterness of Malört but instead complimenting it, and I'd highly recommend giving it a try!

There's an amazing ramen shop in my town. Run by a punk rocker that makes any customer drink a shot of Malort if they say Malort. Jeppsons is safe though so that's how I refer to it. I'm like Norm from Cheers and when I went in yesterday for delicious food I was greeted with a shot of Malort. I even ended the night on that bile-flavored drink. Man that stuff stays with you despite delicious food haha.
As a Chicagoan, I know EXACTLY how that “woooo” and shudder feels like.
