I don’t understand why these companies are so desperate for that ESG money when if they just produce a product that the fans like they will get whatever blackrock and vanguard is paying them and then some for making a successful product. Deadpool and Wolverine are living proof of that right now. Most of these IPs that companies seem hell bent on destroying have built in fan bases that will pay hand over fist for movie, tv show and game adaptations of these stories. But for some reason they have to ruin them every single time. I wish I could be the CEO of Disney or Amazon or Netflix for a day. I would literally fire every writer and hire the fans to write the stories and all I would say is, if the story is from a book or comic literally lift the story out of the pages as it is written and put it on screen, make cuts so it can be feature length or episodic and that’s it. Amazon canceling W40k could mean that someone was fighting tooth and nail over it. However, the damage has been done. But it could have been worse if you look at what happened with Rings of Power.
All Henry wanted was to be able to make a passion project surrounding 40K, but because Amazon wanted Femstartes and GW tried appeasing them with Femstodes, it's no wonder he'd be refusing to let another series he loves be bastardised.
Unfortunately any wh40k live action would need WAY more CGI than Godzilla-1 and that is quite expensive (although the world still is thinking how the Japanese managed to produce their film with such low budget).

Almost all of changes made to the source material in Invincible or Jack Ryan have been a detriment... Frankly I don't trust them. Especially since they force quotas, just like Netflix does.

Amazon purchased it for season 4, which IMMEDIATELY launched into a “wyt man baaaad” narrative in season 4, the worst season by far in the series. Reacher, the first season was loved, and for good reason, season 2 did a complete 180, Reacher became a dummy being led around by more successful, more intelligent, more badass women, who let us know frequently that they’re better than him. It's cute that you think that. Warhammer 40K is one of the worst fandoms in the entire spectrum of fiction. None of it is cohesive it's all splintered into terrible stories of nihilism about a zombie ghost emperor that may or may not be alive. It's about as compelling as a bag of cow turds baking in the sun. The only fandom that stood ground against the onslaught of Marxist propaganda and won was the lord of the rings. They tried to come for Toklien and the fellowship said no. That's something that Warhammer cannot say as their lore has already been splintered in Altered retroactively to accommodate the rainbow Mafia. You can pretend that you guys are some of the most Stout devoted fan bases out there but it just takes one look at the actual space to see that you already lost that battle almost a decade ago to be honest. The only fandom that stood up and has survived this Onslaught is "Lord of the Rings" because we all know that none of that garbage Amazon does is canon in any fashion or form. Nobody will be able to touch Tolkien's books/lore or alter his vison ever and that's what makes us the strongest fandom in the secondary Realm bar none.

And I feel in a way that Tolkiens works have indirectly suffered the same thing in a way. They don’t have access to any major facets of the IP, as Amazon basically bought an old storage locker full of useless stuff that wasn’t as well known and used it to make their cesspool of a show. You can argue they can deem it canon because it doesn’t affect the Peter Jackson films or original 4 books directly. It’s never a clear cut black and white thing. But the writing of this slop contradicts that statement enough already. It’s still a blemish on the Tolkien name regardless, because it was allowed to exist when the Tolkien foundation should’ve just said get bent. And there’s nothing wrong with Grimdark settings like this. 40K is massive, which means information can be subjective about certain things. Not concrete absolutes, like Horus being the fallen son, or Erebus being awful. And especially not the creation of the custodes. For fringe things like xenos races I could understand some of the bs, not for the humans in the setting

I’m not even a Warhammer fan, but what ever they do they NEED to stick to the lore and timelines and story of the (piece) game and books it self. Dont ruin it like they did the Witcher. Look at the last of us. Almost direct episodes out of the game. One is successful and one just died a horrible death after ruining it. This makes me think i may finally get into war hammer. I'm surprised Tokiens estate have been so permissive/submissive with The Rings of Power. J.R.R's children are famously protective of their fathers legacy. To an admirable extent. I don’t understand why these companies are so desperate for that ESG money when if they just produce a product that the fans like they will get whatever blackrock and vanguard is paying them and then some for making a successful product. All Henry wanted was to be able to make a passion project surrounding 40K, but because Amazon wanted Femstartes and GW tried appeasing them with Femstodes, it's no wonder he'd be refusing to let another series he loves be bastardised.
If Games Workshop were smart, they would give Amazon the boot, and just make a Movie with Cavill and go on from there.. See Godzilla Minus One..
Unfortunately any wh40k live action would need WAY more CGI than Godzilla-1 and that is quite expensive (although the world still is thinking how the Japanese managed to produce their film with such low budget).

Almost all of changes made to the source material in Invincible or Jack Ryan have been a detriment... Frankly I don't trust them. Especially since they force quotas, just like Netflix does.

Buddy, season 1-3 of The Expanse was Syfy. The good seasons. Amazon purchased it for season 4, which IMMEDIATELY launched into a “wyt man baaaad” narrative in season 4, the worst season by far in the series. Then season 5 devolved into Naomi having 80% screen time.

It's cute that you think that. Warhammer 40K is one of the worst fandoms in the entire spectrum of fiction. None of it is cohesive it's all splintered into terrible stories of nihilism about a zombie ghost emperor that may or may not be alive. It's about as compelling as a bag of cow turds baking in the sun. The only fandom that stood ground against the onslaught of Marxist propaganda and won was the lord of the rings. They tried to come for Toklien and the fellowship said no. That's something that Warhammer cannot say as their lore has already been splintered in Altered retroactively to accommodate the rainbow Mafia. You can pretend that you guys are some of the most Stout devoted fan bases out there but it just takes one look at the actual space to see that you already lost that battle almost a decade ago to be honest. The only fandom that stood up and has survived this Onslaught is "Lord of the Rings" because we all know that none of that garbage Amazon does is canon in any fashion or form. Nobody will be able to touch Tolkien's books/lore or alter his vison ever and that's what makes us the strongest fandom in the secondary Realm bar none.

And I feel in a way that Tolkiens works have indirectly suffered the same thing in a way. They don’t have access to any major facets of the IP, as Amazon basically bought an old storage locker full of useless stuff that wasn’t as well known and used it to make their cesspool of a show. You can argue they can deem it canon because it doesn’t affect the Peter Jackson films or original 4 books directly. It’s never a clear cut black and white thing. But the writing of this slop contradicts that statement enough already. It’s still a blemish on the Tolkien name regardless, because it was allowed to exist when the Tolkien foundation should’ve just said get bent.
And there’s nothing wrong with Grimdark settings like this. 40K is massive, which means information can be subjective about certain things. Not concrete absolutes, like Horus being the fallen son, or Erebus being awful. And especially not the creation of the custodes. For fringe things like xenos races I could understand some of the bs, not for the humans in the setting

I’m not even a Warhammer fan, but what ever they do they NEED to stick to the lore and timelines and story of the (piece) game and books it self. Dont ruin it like they did the Witcher. Look at the last of us. Almost direct episodes out of the game. One is successful and one just died a horrible death after ruining it.
