You are young and life is long And there is time to kill today And then, one day, you find Ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run You missed the starting gun. -Pink Floyd
@beserk you gonna be alright man. I feel you I was in the same place. Take responsibility for your family. I don't mean burden every thing they do but try and help out here and there so they don't make mistakes. Speak out and try to guide them where you think you can, sometimes hearing it from one of the youngest makes it resonate with everyone more. Don't think everything's gonna change in one go it takes time which is fine. And start building your moral compass. When you get to those periods where you don't know what the fuck you're gonna do with yourself and feel meaningless/purposeless, ask yourself what things you truly want out of life. What values do you hold. For me it was sincerity. Being sincere and honest took me a long way and it's become of the things I live by. Work out/ lift. And learn stuff you think is interesting. Also don't forget you're still a fucking kid. You might be mature for your age and dealt with shit different from other kids but that's not completely true. Lotta people been in the same shoes and have grown because of it. Because you're young and are thinking about what you're gonna make of yourself you're already in a good spot. Experiment with the things you want to do and let yourself fuck up a lot because you can at this point. Things aren't as serious as you think they might be so go talk to new people or go up to girls you find cute and talk to them. In 3 years you're boutta be a different animal. Stay safe bro
Cole uses the autotune to differentiate the sounds of old school and new school hip hop. He only used the autotune when he was talking about the new school rappers but when he was talking about the OG’s in the first verse, there was no autotune.
'The minecraft audience grew up and now they're watching rock reacts' and here's me, a former religious minecraft video watcher now watching rock reacts
I’m genuinely curious, how old is the Minecraft audience? I feel like I missed out on that whole era, but I think that’s just me realizing that I’m getting old
I really enjoyed the side conversations you had. That's what I look for in reaction videos. I can and do listen to the songs before watching these type of videos, so I subscribe when I get to hear more thoughts about what the lyrics mean and how they relate to the people reacting. Fantastic take.
Exactly what i do, i usually go check the song out first myself and then watch their reaction best way to do it 👌 love when they actually react to it not just listen
Daniel Space They would have a fantastic podcast. Would love to hear more of their perspective on other things: relationships, social issues, politics...
IMO....this song is brilliant!! He is viewing himself as the middle child....between the older great mc's and todays mumble rappers...relating to each and changing his flow during the song to reflect each style. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
And bruh how in the middle of the song he uses auto tune to talk about the new genre and he doesn’t use auto tune for the og’s is just showing how j Cole think about this shit so deeply and this is why he’s my favorite artist
Really love that y'all love Cole. Hes the best because his music keeps the positivity, comfort, fun, and hope alive. Most artists now cater to the kids, even college age, that arent mature enough or have never had their own complex thought. And theyre just in it for the buzz words, clout, and quick thrill. I feel like J Cole is the realest person to make music because he has the most unique view and when you hear it you always know hes right, AND he still brings bangin music.
Your J. COLE reviews are the best I'm not even starting the video and I'm already commenting and liking hahahaha pure fire guys! Hugs from Costa Rica from a big J. Cole fan!!

This has to be up there with one of my favourites from cole, great sound and really interesting subject matter. J Cole is really in a special place in Hip Hop right now.
He put the Auto tune part between the two verse talking about the old gen and new gen cause its the middle of the song and cause hes the middle generation of rap. In the last Chorus he doesn't use auto tune so it best of both worlds.
Wow this skype set up is actually ridiculously clean, nice work. If JDP and GZ$ ever legit want to make a mixtape hit me up for beats my dudes i've got them spilling out my ears, keep at it 🔥🔥🔥
The chorus goes by the title "middle child." Basically the first part of the chorus"I just poured something in my cup, i just want something i can feel." Basically talking from the viewpoint of new generation of hip hop artists and then the second part is from the perspective of older generation of hip hop artists. "Foot is on they neck i got em stuck, imma give em something they can feel, pistol in your hand dont make you real."
Love that you guys are certified J. Cole fans. His mixtapes especially The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights really helped me through college nobody else motivated me as much . Keep it up guys , Rock Reacts rules! COLE WORLD NO BLANKET!

Honestly the most satisfying part of this video is that Simon is nodding along to the actual bpm of the song but JD is nodding to the half time feeling of the track
This channel should be well north of 500k subscribers. It has quality reactions, not just excited people reciting the lyrics after they pause the video. I appreciate the discussions during the pauses and the conversations feel genuine. Thank you for putting out quality content.
J.Coles generation is the middle child of the rappers that came before and the ones coming up now. He's rapping about embracing and making room for the new school.
I love watching reactions when people genuinely love and know about the artists. Great reaction! Can't wait to watch more! And LOVE Cole! He's definitely one of the greatest right now.
Always love your Cole takes fellas! I have the utmost respect and appreciation for how hard you guys work for my entertainment and I know driving 100 mi is considered quite the distance in Britan but it made me chuckle as an American.
I swear every time I watch the video and reflect back to like a year or two ago: "Wow Simon is actually catching bars". Ya'll came a long way gents. Congrats! And J. Cole is fire.
From being a firefighter to being a doctor and all the other talents that this man has I would never thought that he would end up being a video reactor, damn Johnny
I haven't seen y'all in a minute but salute from hawaii. Y'all have honest reviews from outside the hiphop culture. J cole my fav artist dead or alive. Seen the no role models when y'all first did it and literally spot on. Mahalo and aloha... Rock on
one thing i want to point out that i give jcole hella props for…the first verse hes talking that talk right…notice how the 808 kick was underneth it the whole time…getting into his rapper bag…then second verse…he lessen the 808 kick cause he was spitting that conscious and he wanted yall to really listen…not get caught up in the ill beat…fkn smart man haha
For those who don’t know he only used auto tune in the middle Bc he wanted to show how he is the middle child between old lyrical rap and the newer generation of mumble rap with auto tune
Listen to Friday Night Lights if you want to hear J Cole with drums and horns. It feels like a high school football game in an album and I'm so happy he's moving that direction again.
I love this reaction because I listen to different types of music, from rap, hip hop to rock to oldies to even Dutch rap, Spanish (all Spanish music). Awesome. Thank you!

Cole needs to watch this video
Everyone share it with him!

He’s using the term “middle child” as he feels he’s stuck between two generations of rap. Best rapper alive
a little like kendrick, and even arguably sean, joey and asap rocky

Great songs. 03 Adolescence is THE song that got me into rap. Because of that it’s one of the most important songs in my life
I feel they need listen to the whole album to better understand the story
I don’t mind the Skype thing tho
Eli M. It use to bother me in their earlier videos, but I feel like the quality is higher in these new skype videos
It was inconvenient for them
By far the highest quality reaction video I've ever seen given the circumstances, no idea how you even managed this

I really loved:” I hope you know money won’t erase the pain”, such a meaningfull bar, something that a father would say to his son.
He put the Auto tune part between the two verse talking about the old gen and new gen cause its the middle of the song and cause hes the middle generation of rap. In the last Chorus he doesn't use auto tune so it best of both worlds.
