Inexpensive, nutritious, quick & easy to make but more importantly very tasty - plain chow mein. Thanks for recipe & cooking demonstration. My daughter & I will cook for family.
@@KhoanVong Maybe. I will experiment a bit, and maybe try and cook them a min or two less than the package instruction. Maybe also dry them better before stir frying.
Thanks for this. Can I ask do use the egg noodles or just the fine noodles? The number 2 lucky boat aren’t egg noddles I don’t think. Correct me I’m I am wrong?
Hi Chef, Thank you for the awesome video and tips. Very much appreciated as always. Have been posting your links to every cooking page I am a member of. Lol, you should be in the billion mark by now 😁🙏🏼 Quick question, was that seasoned oil you used, to coat the wok? Second if I wanted to add shrimp flavor, when would you recommend using either dried shrimp or shrimp paste. Could you show us the technique? Thank you kindly. God Bless your good soul, brother. Much love from Canada. ❤🤙🏼
Thanks for sharing my channel out, if more guys like you promote my channel it would be much bigger. Regards your question, it depends how strong the shrimp flavour you like. If you have shrimp pasts it sounds tasty. Next time I go shopping I'll see if I can get my hand on shrimp paste and do a video for you.
Hi Khoan - Lucky Boat is difficult to get unless buying a big box of it. What’s the best brand from a Chinese supermarket - there seems to be hundreds! I’ve used Lion and they seem ok.
Lion brand is fine if you can get them in small packets. I'll have a browse next time I go shopping to see any good brand that come in smaller packets.

thanks Darren.
How do you prepare the noodles? would I be able to use spaghetti and boil it and just add it to the pan?
Chinese Egg noodles, Lucky Boat #2 best. Soak noodle 'nest' in hot water for 5 minutes then drain under cold water. Allow to dry.
Lovely mate thanks for sharing
you're welcome Ian
Great video. I love this dish. I wish Lucky Boat offered boxes half the size though for home use.
I'll have a look next time I go shopping nto see a suitable noodle in smaller packet.
They do. Try Amazon. If you’re in the UK Chin&Choo UA-cam channel have an online shop
My noodles always stick to my wok. Any tips? I'm using a seasoned light-weight cast iron wok at home (not heavy one).
maybe your noodle is too soft.

Iucky boat fine noodles are not egg noodles. you can use egg noodles for this recipe if you have it at home.
@@KhoanVong ah ok thanks for the info 👍
Very nice. How do you make Duck in plum sauce? Seems to be no recipes online that are quite like the Chinese takeaway version.
I'll make a note of making this video.
Great video, thank you. I love chow mein😊! Which is best cooking wine to use please? Advice from anyone appreciated. Xxx
Shaoxing rice wine is the one!
If you can't find Shaoxing rice wine, you can use cooking sherry.

Love your videos, keep them coming and please could you do a video on bbq ribs
It's already on my channel.
Hello, I love your videos. Which sauce did you use in this dish? Is it dark soy and light soy? And how much?
The recipe is in the video Sean, just after the title
Hello Wok Master Khoan, is the bowl of noodles simply one nest?
It's lucky boat
@KhoanVong Yes but they come in individual dried portions 'nests' so I assume one bowl = 1 portion 🙂

oh, about the oil, I just rinse the wok so it's fully coated in oil to stop the noodle sticking.
Hi mate you always use cooking wine. I'm curious if it's rice wine?
At home I use shao xing, that is the most common and popular cooking wine. I use a commercial brand at the shop.
How much would that dish go for KV? very easy and tasty
that is a side dish, it's 60p to upgrade from chips or boiled rice.
