Really miss seeing you on garage squad☹
She looks a lot better and sounds a lot more cheerful than I do when I do an oil change.
Love seeing you back in groove... Cool....
Gotta love a girl that uses power tools!! ❤
love your videos!!
Thank you!
Great Job,Time to have more fun Off Road Traveling
Yay! A Heather Storm video! Always a good day. I've had a few SUVs and they never had that skid plate on it. I wonder if places that do oil changes do that as part of the job or will they charge extra. Interesting.
Yeah I'm not sure on that one. It's an extra step but not a very time consuming one.
1st and Garage Squad, so blew it when they let her go.
Nope, I'm first!
I'm glad you're using your Bronco for what it was intended for and for showing other women that vehicle maintenance can be simple and easy. 👍
It was great seeing you at the Virginia Beach car show. Hope to see you there at the next one.
I'll be there again this year.
@@HeatherStormTV I can't believe you were at the VA Beach car show, I missed you I guess. Please let me know when your gonna be there.
Just a heads up. When removing the skid plate you don't have to remove the front two bolts. Just loosen them & leave them on. The plate slides out after you remove the rear two. Nice job 👍
Thanks for the info
Great to see you on UA-cam. Your personality brightens my day!
I'm so glad!
Thanks for the direct reply Heather. I never get tired reading about your latest adventure.
Great job !! Heather just love to see you work.
u are the best miss seeing u on garage squad
thank you!
Way to go bronco is happy now😊
One other good thing to do when your done with the oil change, press the brake and the gas pedal bothe at the same time to the floor and push the start button. It will crank but not start for about 10 seconds to prime the oil.
It's awesome watching you get into repairing and servicing again....miss watching you on garage squad.....stay safe.... Alfredo
Great to see you back on the road with your Bronco. I’m looking forward to the adventures.
Another fantastic Video Heather, and I'm going to share it so I can help you teach everyone how to take care of their new Bronco.
So good to see you turning wrenches
Glad to see you again. Great informative video.
Thanks!
Great Job, when can you come by and do my truck LOL
Great job Heather, thank you for sharing 😁👍❤️
Thank you!
fantastic job! Enjoyed the video and format. Merci
Thank you!
Already know how, just here for my dose of my favourite hostess! Love from Tx Heather!
Thank you, please share with someone who would benefit from it!
Exactly! Love from Coast to Coast!❤
Like the video, love that look of the bronco, thanks for sharing. :)
Great tips Heather , thanks ...
Thanks for watching!
Awesome job Heather! More people need to know how to do this simple maintenance , to protect the life of your engine!🫡💯🇺🇸
Like a Pro , as Always well Done . Take Care ..
Hi Heather, I wish I had a car lift it sure makes the job much easier. Thanks for the nice video. Hopefully you can find more time for a weekly video and get your subscribers over 1 M. I would love if you could share some of your experiences on the Garage Squad. I always watch your reruns. I love your enthusiasm, attitude and smile. Have a wonderful day.👍
thank you this video helped me tons! my lil sisters bronco needed a oil change and that thing threw me for a loop
So glad to be able to help out!
I wish you were my neighbor always wanted to hang out with gearhead chicks , you're the coolest.
Thanks!
Good video. Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Thks for sharing
Great job Heather!! Quick question, they don't recommend synthetic oil because it would be 6k intervals? A tip which you probably already know to use LPS3 on any exterior bolts. It dries to a waxy film for protection, something I learned here in the northeast. Hope you had a great Holiday weekend !! 👍💪❤🙏💯😊
miss you on garage squad
Heather, how are you? Do you not use oil additives? For example, I used the Prolong brand, which I thought was the best. This reduces friction tremendously! What do you think, thanks
do an oil change on a explorer just got one 😊
Lol
Heather, how did you get that filter out without getting oil everywhere? Great video.
Post production 😅
Carefully! Sometimes it goes everywhere but I got lucky on this one.
While you said 2.3 in the video you should title this video as such since the 2.7 oil change is in totally different locations and parts. On the 2.7 the drain plug is plastic with a totally different cartridge filter setup. Anyway good job, but don't forget to prime before starting which someone else already posted about.
great tip with the marker, Lord loves a woman that can changer her own oil
Thanks!
Great video Heather. Love the color on your Bronco. Whats the official name for that color?? BTW you look amazing 🥰
Area 51 is the color. Thanks!
There must be some back story to that paint code:
"Look at the little red light: there was no alien. The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus. Yeah, 'cause you know what? He never appreciated you anyway. In fact, you kicked him out and now that he's gone you're gonna go into town, go to Bloomingdales, find some nice dresses, you know, maybe find somewhere you can get, you know, a facial, and hire someone to come in here & clean up after your messy oil changes fast because... damn.
LoL. Area51 paint code!
Same as mine! @@HeatherStormTV
Did you tighten the new filter with a wrench? I was always told to just tighten the filter with just your hands. Don't want it too tight!
Yes an oil filter wrench, the specs say 3/4 turn so I make a mark on the filter to make sure it's exactly 3/4 turn.
5W30? Are you driving in a cooler climate? Where I live 10W40 is the standard.
?? 10w40 ?? Really? That is ultimately surprising for a modern engine.
@@biz4twobiz463 maybe it is today, but I've been around for quite a few years and in the ChiTcago land area it was the go-to for decades.
I'm in Colorado and that's what is recommended
@@Danno_A_Jyd ... hii. I just double-checked the FORD Bronco Owners Manual, because I wanted to be accurate with my information. Ok, only 5w30 and 0w30 are approved oils for the 2.3L and 2.7L engines that come in the Bronco's. Just wanted to share that. The 0w30 is for extreme conditions.
@@HeatherStormTV I'm definitely old school, so we were taught that the higher the average temps were the higher grade[s] of oil were recommended. That made sense. B4 multi-grade oils were on the market 40W was recommended in summer in ChiTcago, but then again no one would ever think of using water-added gasoline in their motors. HMMMM!
TYVM for the reply. 😁
You can go 7500 miles easy with mobile one synthetic. I go 10,000 and have 230,000 without any issue on one of my fords and never have to add a drop In between changes
👍👍👍👍👍
Garage Squad isn't the same without your spark.
Thank you!
Could you come show me how to change it on my 2.7!!? 🤔😉🤣😎❤️🔥
You need a dealer for that, it a plastic oil plug for a 2.7..
I noticed that about your oil changes...????my gaskit came off my old oil filter.fram I guess.I put on the new filter on and oil all over the place..I started crying and whining.had to re--do the filter..sooooo yes check that bad---bratty oil ring,,thingy on the ole filter, isn't stuck to your vehicle..oil filter thingy..yessss I don't watch Garage Squad either.if mizzzz..Storm isn;t on the show..Well,,it's just toooooooooooooooooooooooooooo PAINFUL TO WATCH..MAYBE FROM BEING A CANADIAN----HOSER..I GUESS..THANKYOU 4 THE VIDEO..SURE MAKES IT LOOK EASIER..GREAT FOR HELPING OUT WOMEN..
Did you not reset the oil life? That’s why I was here ugh
I doubt they let her go. She probably chose to move on. Sure miss her though.
I kinda miss Garage Squad ! It hasn’t been on for a few seasons. They only occasionally show reruns. I hope the show hasn’t been eliminated. It was a fun show to watch.
GS is done making new episodes
@@HeatherStormTV Heather, that is such a shame ! It was a really good show. Do you have any ideas why they stopped making the show ? I especially enjoyed the episodes that you were on. The Garage Squad team helped so many people get projects back on the road that ordinarily would have never got finished. Thanks for your response. !
@@HeatherStormTV It's a shame. They had a great concept and a great cast (really liked the guys). But it really jumped the shark when Heather left.
■■■...step 1: know someone who has a lift
You can do it without a lift, this just makes it easier to film
Ford OEM oil replacement directions: When the engine blows up, the oil automatically blows out of the side in every direction, then you just replace the engine.
6:10 looks over full to me. just sayin
The best way to change the oil on a Bronco is trade it in for a 4Runner.
wow i wish i was your neighbor,i luvs you
