Great job, looks good. I put the sealant on the inside of mine and then Tiger Seal round the edges. It doesn't seem like it would hold but when it goes off it holds really well. First couple of trips up the motorway I was expecting it to fall off 😂
Yes first time we put a spoiler on and went out for a drive we went in convoy in case it fell off into the road! 😃 All was fine.
We just took the rear hatch off when we fitted it. Just a little easier I think.

Aaaaaanton! Here is an idea for the next project.: How to fit a dual window switch to the driver side. I'm actually started to work on it but due to different switches, this is on hold for a little while. If you happen to do it earlier than me I'm more than happy to see what solution you come up with.

I went to U Pull It for an Avensis rear light cluster and found a Citroen C1 with rear glass spoiler.I consider these rare things so i thought im having that.Took some getting off as glued on.£24 at the counter.Now i just need to fit it to my 107.

Fantastic job. 👍🏻 This would be one of the jobs I’d start then instantly regret I tried! That glue would be dripping all over the car, the spoiler would keep slipping off and not sticking properly… 😩 been there failed at that lol

I'd love to get a camback spoiler for the Aygo. There just not available to buy (the biggest challenge is that the boot would either hit the camback with it attached to the roof or the camback would hit the roof if it was fitted to the boot mounts. You'd need a double hinge so the boot would pivot it on the roof (similar to how your parcel shelf lifts). It still leaves the issue that the brake strip light would be covered (which is why I'm not in a rush to try to do it!). I hypermile my Aygo, I've averaged about 72mpg over the last 2 years (69.2mpg over the entire 7 years I've owned the car from when I was a new driver) ... My best tank was 78mpg.

Are the C1, 107 and Aygo not all the same car ? Are you saying this spoiler won't fit an Aygo ?
@@phillees4362 a Camback spoiler is something different, it's more of a custom job rather then off the shelf spoiler in this video. You can't easily fit one to an Aygo because the rear hatch only opens the glass it doesn't have a pivoting supporting frame from the point of aerodynamic air separation. A Cambacks job is the reduce the size of the aerodynamic wake at the rear of the car by extending the length of the car further back from the rear of car and it follows the curvature of the ideal teardrop shape.
@@aaanton11 I did actually beat that this year during that 40°c heatwave in the UK. It returned 79.4mpg over 470 miles, some of which was driven during that heatwave but I was driving extremely steady as my temperature readings climbed quickly any time I pressed the throttle. It is absolutely amazing for a petrol engined car.
I did think the Aygo was pretty unique in this sense but apparently the Suzuki Celerio with the 1L duel jet engine beats the aygo... On honest John users have submitted average fuel economy figures of 71mpg!
Suzuki seems to dominate the market when you're looking for the most fuel efficient pure petrols though as even the larger swift users are reporting averages of 62mpg in the 1.2 dueljet, Compared to the Aygo's 55mpg.
I'd love to try these cars out... I did drive my mechanics Nissan Micra 1.2L once and reset the MPG meter and when I returned it to him it was showing 65mpg. Ironically the diesels I've driven I've struggled to get much higher then 62mpg, one was a 1.5L Mégane and the other a 1.9L Skoda Octavia. Both these cars seem to prefer motorway driving though, both could hit 70mpg on the motorway but unfortunately I do mixed country and city driving... The Aygo seems to get it's best fuel economy in light traffic at 30-40mph and can even hold 80mpg at 20mph if you're willing to stay in 4th gear (~1150rpm).
I bought the car with 10,000 miles on the clock 8 years ago... It's now at 102,000 miles and still runs great.

That stuff was a bugger to get off my hands. With the excess that went over the spoiler did you use a knife to cut it off? I’m worried I’m going to scratch my nice new paint work. Thanks for guide it worked well

When you pressed out the glue from the cartridge I knew it will be a little too much. Had any luck removing bits that squeezed from under the spoiler?

Hi there, my daughter 17 had a spoiler on when we brought it. Looks great……. BUT has been a nightmare with the insurance 😩 naively we didn’t realise it was a modification when we got it. Is there anyway of removing them? Would appreciate any advice at this point 😊 thanks
I would get another quote and don't mention the spoiler, some models came with them fitted as standard. you can remove them by cutting the bond with a long blade or metal cheese wire cutter, windscreen removal wire, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

IF YOU have a spoiler fitted or you added it YOU MUST TELL THE INSURANCE. If you have an accident and the insurance assessor looks at the car an sees the spoiler THEY WILL CANCLE the insurance if you not told them.
